Hi everyone!

I’m starting a VLCD (Slim and Save) on 1st Jan and wondering is anyone starting too? Or Cambridge, Exabte etc and maybe we could keep each other motivated?

OMG yes! I am freezing all the time and I never ever run cold!

Hot water bottle is made within minutes of me walking through the door hahaha

RedPandaMama · 04/01/2019 13:57

My huge box just arrived!

Am I am idiot, what is the yellow stretchy rope thing? One of those resistance bands? It seems too long!

I think so. You can use the handles to make it longer/ short he maybe?

themuminator · 04/01/2019 16:15

DayMan... I'm sitting in bed, "working", and my feet are still freezing. Might need the hot water bottle like you suggest.

Kittensgalore · 04/01/2019 17:23

Yes hot water bottle definitely helps, my kids are due back any minute which means making them tea and trying not to salivate over it. Although not tempted so far I know that is likely to be my downfall. I had a chocolate delight thing earlier that was lovely, a bit like angel delight. Lentil Dahl pot for tea. Hope everyone doing ok.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 04/01/2019 17:36

RedPandaMama ooh exciting! Will you be staring tomorrow?

Hot water bottles are an absolute must!! Also a nice warm throw :)

I have been thinking aboit listing out some stone loss treats (not food obvs!) to keep me motivated. Going to make a nice pretty one and stick it on the fridge

MrsTWH · 04/01/2019 17:45

Hi everyone!

I did Cambridge 8 weeks before Christmas and lost 2st5lb. Put 5lb on again over Xmas, whoops! Still need to lose 2 stone to target.

So starting Cambridge on step 1 again for January. Weighed in yesterday so only on day 2. Finding it much harder to stick to second time around...

rainbowgrimm · 04/01/2019 17:53

I've made a list of weight loss treats - first is new PJ's at -10lbs.
I'm a daily weigher, works much better for me, and four days in I'm 5.6lbs down.
I'm worried about the weekend, I've been super busy at work so have only had a few hours in the evening to keep myself on track. I've also got to go and deal with something I find quite upsetting and my usual coping mechanism is to buy chocolate!

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 04/01/2019 18:17

rainbowgrimm oooh new pjs is a good one! I'm deffo thinking a facial at some point!

Don't worry about the weekend, just keep a Web page up of google images on before and after pics like 'cwp/exabte/lighter life before after pics'. Everytime you feel like saying fuck it, just open the browser and keep up motivation!

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 04/01/2019 18:19

Also, don't let yourself fall off and if you get upset, just come here and have a bitch, it is what we are here for and I hope everything goes okay Flowers

RedPandaMama · 04/01/2019 19:13

Yes starting tomorrow! I'm excited. Was planning to start today but the parcel only arrived at 2pm and I got hungry so had a cheese toastie before that Blush so decided tomorrow is the day!

Jarviscockup · 04/01/2019 19:45

Day 4 here and 6lbs down so far. Had a sneaky weigh in this morning. In bed early as we speak because it's further away from the kitchen. Not sure if it's physical or psychological hunger at this point. Tell me it gets better?!

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 04/01/2019 19:45

RedPandaMama I don't blame you! I took full opportunity to eat whatever I wanted the day before I started hahaha!

Won't be able to eat like that again for a looong time (and even then won't be able to eat the amount I was used to!)

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 04/01/2019 19:47

Jarviscockup day 4 too! I think it is the hardest day tbh, just drink water and make yourself comfortable. My lady said most of the time, we binge to feel comfort so try to recreate that feeling with something else, like snuggling up with a good book or having a nice hot cup of tea/coffee

Kittensgalore · 04/01/2019 20:34

So reading all my posts made me realise I had to go weigh myself so I just have done and the scales didn't work! Fortunately after I kicked them they sprung into life so now I can see how much I am losing, at least from now on. I'm day 4 tomorrow. I like the treat list idea, i definitely over eat through comfort/stress/boredom so need to tackle that somehow.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 04/01/2019 21:07

Kittensgalore hehe scalea were calling.

One thing my lady gave me (which anyone could do with a bit of ribbon) was put some cwp ribbon around my widest bit (belly button area) and cut it. I have this and can wrap it around the same area and will hopefully start to notice inch loss. I think that will be as motivating as the scales!

GoGoJo · 04/01/2019 22:11

To see if it's psychological apparently you can set a timer for 20 mins, a glass of water and see if you are still hungry when the timer is up.

I already bought myself new pyjamas today. Not sure I really deserve a reward yet but they were in the sale!

Jarviscockup · 05/01/2019 06:14

New pyjamas are the best! I think we all deserve a treat for getting this far. As long as it's not food related 😂

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 05/01/2019 09:30

Oooh new pjs are an absolute must! Of course you deserve a treat! To be honest I would give myself a weekly incentive if I could afford it, unfortunately dp out of work at the mo due to broken leg so I have to majorly count the pennies! Statutory sick pay is SHITE!

Kittensgalore · 05/01/2019 10:03

That sounds rubbish Dayman, hope he gets his cast off soon! New Pj's also sound like a fab idea. After weighing myself last night I thought I'd pop back on the scales this morning and now no matter how much I kick them they are not working, It must be a sign or they just need new batteries. I am on day 4 and feel absolutely rubbish. Woke up at 4am with a massive headache and didn't get back to sleep. Due to take kids swimming soon but all I want to do is crawl back to bed, no chance of that happening today. How is everyone else feeling?

rainbowgrimm · 05/01/2019 10:35

So I woke up today in a bit of a grumpy mood, knew I'd find the weekend tough, scales haven't moved today (but I have lost 5.6lb so far) but - I'M IN KETOSIS! YAY!
Now I'm off to clear out the cupboard under the stairs to keep me busy, if I'm not back later please send a search party, I'll be buried under an avalanche of coats.

Kittensgalore · 05/01/2019 10:52

What day are you on Rainbowgrimm? I took a huge amount of crap to the tip and some stuff to the charity shop as well this morning which should have felt satisfying but didn't as came back to a house still full crap! Good luck with the cupboard! Off for a swim now. Not feeling hungry so am thinking must be going into ketosis.

Kittensgalore · 05/01/2019 10:53

Also meant to say the ribbon idea is brilliant, will definitely do that when I get home.

rainbowgrimm · 05/01/2019 11:02

I'm on day 5, wasn't expecting it at all. Only did a dipstick as I saw them in the cupboard but it came back really clear.
Also off to find some ribbon.

Eliza9917 · 05/01/2019 11:04

I'm feeling great, day 4 for me. I've got more done in the house yesterday and this morning than I did in all the Xmas holidays.
