Hi everyone!

I’m starting a VLCD (Slim and Save) on 1st Jan and wondering is anyone starting too? Or Cambridge, Exabte etc and maybe we could keep each other motivated?

Kittensgalore thank you! He has been signed off for another 7 weeks so will be about 3months in total, such a pain! The ribbon thing is a great idea! My lady is quite a smart one hahaha! I hope you feel better later, day 4 was the hardest for me tbh, day 5 and I'm feeling really good!!

rainbowgrimm emergency search party on hold and waiting hahaha! Yay ketosis! It makes you feel much better once that starts so hopefully you will start feeling good!

Weigh in tomorrow!! Ahhhhh

Eliza9917 · 05/01/2019 11:20

I got one of these on eBay, you put a pound in for every lb you lose.

That looks good. I've got a pair of trousers that almost fit, but would require no breathing or bending, out & hung them on the back of the bedroom door.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 05/01/2019 14:19

That's such a good idea! I might get one :) how much was it?

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 05/01/2019 14:20

Good idea Rainbow! I am going to get some goal clothes as motivation but never been the weight I want to be so no idea on sizings! Would love to be a 10 but not sure my frame will ever allow that haha

Eliza9917 · 05/01/2019 14:26

@DayManChampionOfTheSun I think it was £15

Kittensgalore · 05/01/2019 15:33

I like the idea of buying some motivational clothes but I don't trust myself. I seriously lack will power and am worried I'll order a lovely outfit that will just hang in the wardrobe. I really, really do not want to mess this up. Feeling better than this morning but shattered after swimming, no energy. Is the general consensus that by day 5 folk usually start to feel better? Going to go do the ribbon thing now!

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 05/01/2019 15:57

I think so, I'm on day 5 today and feeling really good. It is my birthday but still staying on plan, no cake for me hahaha! Normally would go out for a huge meal so instead me and dp are chilling at home watching movies this evening :)

I do get that about motivational clothes, I have so many already so will probably just leave it for a while and maybe get some that fit as I get smaller.

rainbowgrimm · 05/01/2019 16:03

Happy birthday @DayManChampionOfTheSun So impressed you're staying on plan! I haven't bought anything new, I also couldn't be trusted, just found a pair of trousers that I love but don't fit at the moment in the wardrobe.
I have just been to Tesco and seen a pale grey jumper with a yellow lightening bolt from the shoulder that I love (I know it sounds hideous, it's not). I've got clubcard vouchers so am going to go back once I've completed the first week.

Kittensgalore · 05/01/2019 16:10

Happy Birthday Day! Also v impressed you sticking to the plan- definitely no cake then! I am going to look out a skirt I love that I can't begin to do up and will hang that up somewhere. Am hiding upstairs away from kitchen as feeling the need to snack although weirdly I'm not that hungry so it's definitely psychological.
For those on the Cambridge plan, if you have done another one previously do you think it is worth the extra

Kittensgalore · 05/01/2019 16:12

Sorry posted too soon, do you think Cambridge is worth the extra ££? I'm wondering if the consultant would keep me on track more.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 05/01/2019 16:24

Thank you both! Yes I am very proud of sticking to it today! Just need to keep thinking about how I will look in 3 months if I keep pushing through!

Umm, I have tried exante once, I didn't stick to it thag well but I think it is more because I bought the wrong products more than the lack of consultant. I prefer the products on cwp so that is why I am with them. I am a mega fussy eater though.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 05/01/2019 16:25

Sorry, too soon lol.

I do like having the consultant though, she comes to my house and I like the scheduled weigh in to keep me on check lol

MaidenMotherCrone · 05/01/2019 18:27

@ChristmasFlary

I'm starting back on New You today.

ChristmasFlary · 05/01/2019 19:06

@MaidenMotherCrone day 2 for me. Used to really like the burger but threw it away yesterday! Got a couple of packs left of it too annoyingly. I think it's ridiculous that members can't swap. Just a way to make more ££££

Kittensgalore · 05/01/2019 20:03

Omg, have just eaten a pack of sweet & sour noodles with extra carb free noodles, only 8 calories or something crazy so figured it couldn't hurt, but now I feel so incredibly full to point of feeling slightly sick. At least I know what to do in future if I need something filling! Roll on day 5! Hope everyone doing ok.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 05/01/2019 21:18

Sounds good Kitten but I hope you are feeling a little bit less full now lol!

Look forward to day 5! It is soo much better than day 4!

GoGoJo · 05/01/2019 22:19

Ooh those carb free noodles are basically all fibre so they do make your stomach feel a bit bloated. I can't have more than half a pack.

I went to see my niece in a dance show today and ended up taking her out for dinner before. Didn't want to not eat as I don't particularly want to model this sort of relationship with food to a teen dancer so I had a keto friendly salad from the under 600 cal menu. Had a bar for breakfast and was debating having something else but I'm not feeling hungry so I think I'll leave it. Hopefully it won't impact too much but I do worry about slipping into cheating so soon.

I am definitely in ketosis now- my mouth tastes like arse! Bring on day 5!

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 06/01/2019 08:28

GoGoJo Well I personally think that was a very selfless act, and I applaud you for still sticking to a basically on plan meal! It isn't cheating, cheating would be saying fuck it and having pizza/burger and chips etc. So be proud!

I'm on day 6 today as well, my lady is coming to weigh me at 11, I will let you all know how I have done!

Kittensgalore · 06/01/2019 09:20

Yes totally agree, sounds like you did really well Gogojo. It is really hard to navigate round social situations and especially when with kids or a teenager. Sounds like you did great. Let us know how you get on Day, so exciting! I do feel slightly better this morning, still have a headache but nothing like yesterday.

Going try and sort out the understairs cupboard today which is full of arts and crafts stuff and Exante products!

Did the ribbon thing yesterday which took a while as none of the ribbons we had were long enough- so depressing. But eventually found something that worked. Should be motivational if I can just keep going.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 06/01/2019 09:50

Kittensgalore you will! Just keep focused and if you want to cheat, think about how hard those first few days are. You don't want to have to do them again!

Yeah, the ribbon is a bit of a wakeup call. It is about 3inches off my height! How oh how did it get to this hahaha

Eliza9917 · 06/01/2019 10:42

@ChristmasFlary I love the burger, and the sausage!

ChristmasFlary · 06/01/2019 10:46

@Eliza9917 - sausage? I haven't seen a sausage

rainbowgrimm · 06/01/2019 10:48

So, I may or may not be in ketosis. Just did another dipstick - turns out they've probably gone off after sitting in the cupboard for years and were already the colour for ketosis before I even weed on it! Thought it was a bit quick, I'm an idiot GrinGrin

Kittensgalore · 06/01/2019 10:50

Lol Rainbowgrimm, you probably are though, if you are not feeling hungry? I'm not particularly and given what we are eating compared to usual we should be chewing our hands off!
