Congratulations! we got our positive result last week too (2 tests and GP confirmation) 6 weeks pregnant just now, so would be nice to have someone to talk to who's in a similar situation x

Kliz92 · 21/07/2020 15:40

@Kliz98 aw that's fab news! this is our first so I'm a bit paranoid about every little thing. MIL's comments last week about being "ok for now" haven't helped either.DH said she wasn't meaning it to be cruel, history of MC's in her family but don't think he appreciates how its making me feel/also wont tell her to reign it in....men! xx

Kliz92 · 21/07/2020 16:02

Oh yeah thats not what you want to hear is it! I understand how your feeling. I still am this time round too!! Hopefully she will keep those kind of things to herself next time 🤦🏻‍♀️ xxx

@Kliz92 oh i dont envy you with that - i thought i was bad 8-5 working infront of the computer. Think hubby thought i was at it before we found out about the pregnancy because i couldnt keep my eyes open! xx

Kliz92 · 21/07/2020 17:39

@KO045 that's funny! Its awful isnt it, only a few weeks in and im already so worn out!! Have you got an appointment with the midwife yet?? Xxx

@Kliz92 Hope to god it gets better soon, i didnt think i could sleep so much. not yet, i called on friday when we got the confirmation from the GP that i was definitely pregnant so waiting for them to ring me - said it would be in a week or two. what about you?xx

Kliz92 · 21/07/2020 18:25

@KO045 ahhh i see! No i havent yet. My doctor didnt really say much so i was unsure about how long it would take to hear from them xxx

OP posts:
KO045 · 21/07/2020 18:49

@Kliz92 oh hopefully it doesnt take too long! to be fair, they told me i had to phone them myself - although it wasnt even the GP who told me my test was positive so that could be why lol xx

Kliz92 · 21/07/2020 19:03

@KO045 if i havent heard by next week ill ring them and see what they say. My gp didn't even check mine was positive, they just took my word for it 😂 xx

@Kliz92 yeah think i'll likely do the same, i just hate waiting.....too impatient lol.

oh really? i wasnt sure if we would need to do a test with the GP after he said the home tests are pretty much always right but he said he wanted to check. longest 2 days ever. xx

2020wish · 22/07/2020 08:23

Cautiously joining..
hi! I’m 4 weeks 2days today, apps are saying I’m due March 31st but I’m sure I will go over. I’ve a 9 year old daughter.

I found out at 7dpo last Thursday but lines have been strong.. I’ve had 3 early losses (lines never this strong so early so hoping it’s a good sign) this year so hoping this is finally my turn

Kliz92 · 22/07/2020 09:37

@KO045 well thats good at least they did check! How are you feeling today?
Hi @2020wish i totally understand why you are feeling this way! Im sorry to hear about you're loses! This time does sound more positive 🤞🤞🤞 xxx

romaniac123 · 22/07/2020 14:45

Hi all,

First time pregnancy, found out on Sunday, confirmed with 2nd test on Monday. Haven't had this confirmed by GP yet, my GP practice are still doing telephone consultations only and my GP has also recently just left the practice, perfect timing, eh?!
Really thought I would just be having a late period as I had mild cramp, sore boobs and felt cold and shivery, and I also have PCOS so my periods aren't the most regular, but nope, Clearblue said 2-3 weeks on test 1 and 3+ weeks on test 2.

I called the local midwife service and have the first scan on 7th August and first midwife telephone consultation on 18th August.

I guess I could be due anytime from late March to early April...

KO045 · 22/07/2020 15:02

@2020wish haha well the 16th wouldnt be a bad day but then again my mum was late with both me and my brother so if baby takes after me i wouldnt be surprised if its later!

KO045 · 22/07/2020 15:05

@romaniac123 Congratulations!! thats great you have your scan booked already. i think i might chase our midwives on friday if i havent heard, im a bit impatient plus still figuring out whats normal to expect in the first trimester

2020wish · 22/07/2020 15:37

@romaniac123 congrats!!! I don’t think the gps confirm pregnancies anymore. It’s a self referral online to your maternity unit you plan to have your care at. That’s good u have got ur scan booked! I’m planning on testing with a weeks indicator tomorrow or Friday
