@disneyhopeful17 that's amazing! ✨

My story is similar, we had a fertility appointment in June too, and then a fertility scan booked yesterday (although ours was following recurrent miscarriages). I've heard it's quite common to get a BFP when investigations start. Which is really weird!

Fingers crossed we all have sticky beans ✨

kwastell · 25/07/2020 08:59

@2020wish wow your line is super strong!

Is your early scan with the NHS? My doctor wouldn't refer me, even after 3 previous miscarriages. Maybe I need to push them a bit more. I've heard of people calling the EPU (early pregnancy unit) direct to get one.

JTB123 · 25/07/2020 09:06

@Kristy17 I'm also a corona bride! Was due to get married in May but have pushed back to sept this year, so will keep it as that with the 30 guests now, good timing as I should only be 11 ish weeks! And hopefully not showing haha

2020wish · 25/07/2020 09:09

@kwastell why won’t he refer you? Are you in the uk? Guidelines are that after three recurrent loses you are entitled to an early reassurance scan. Yes mine is through my local epu. Just ring ur local epu and say u have had 3 loses and could you get an early reassurance scan x

kwastell · 25/07/2020 09:12

@2020wish yes in the UK. They just said there's nothing they can do and will have to wait. Thank you, that's good to know. I'll go direct to the EPU.

2020wish · 25/07/2020 09:17

@kwastell I would reconsider I different gp. The reassurance scan after a few losses isn’t because they think they can intervene if something goes wrong, of course they know it’s out of their hands but it’s to reassure the mother and help with anxiety as studies have proved that offering the scans and just the support may have a positive impact on the pregnancy progressing as the mother is less stressed. On the flip side if the pregancy isn’t viable on the early scan it may also help the mother come to terms with the loss and get support there and then and not be surprised or mentally prepared when bleeding starts xx

kwastell · 25/07/2020 09:21

@2020wish thank you. Yes, they're fairly useless, will have a look for another doctor.

I heard the same from a friend, she said a fertility specialist had been campaigning for everyone to get earlier scans as it eases anxiety and ends up having a positive impact on live birth rate.

beckyd88 · 25/07/2020 11:01

I just found out I'm pregnant too. App says due april 3rd 2021. Had a miscarriage in April so I am cautiously excited. Got my BFP at 9dpo and have been a poas addict lol
Congrats everyone!

Due april 2021
kwastell · 25/07/2020 11:13

Congrats @beckyd88 🎉

We have matching due dates!

penny92 · 25/07/2020 12:04

Morning all. Hoping to tentatively pop on this form as it seems that I am pregnant. Currently 17 DPO and my app thinks 1st April due date. It will be my first, and its a bit of a surprise so still getting my head round it!

How is everyone feeling?

I'm so pleased it is the weekend so I can take things easier over the next couple of days. I've been feeling SO warm, lots of fatigue and having lots of mild cramping.

penny92 · 25/07/2020 12:04

Serethiel · 25/07/2020 12:23

I have also been feeling super warm, I keep opening windows and changing my clothes. I'm having odd little twinges but that's about all. Boobs are ever so slightly tender, not like when I had my son!

With our trust (north london) you need to have had 3 losses before they'll offer you anything. I have had 1 loss (march 2020) so I am looking to book a private early reassurance scan. I found one on groupon for £39 so not too expensive if it means putting my mind at ease a few weeks earlier than NHS scan.

We are having a quiet one this weekend. I do have some work to get finished and the usual housework . What are your plans?

disneyhopeful17 · 25/07/2020 12:38

@Kristy17 Thank you, yes we are really happy but I feel like since I found out on Wednesday time has stood still its a very long wait until we get the first scan

Kristy17 · 25/07/2020 13:09

@2020wish it’s nice to hear about someone else doing similar

@JTB123 it’s hard isn’t it, but it’s really nice you get to go ahead with yours. We initially debated dropping our numbers (it’s only small and low budget anyway but 65) to have the ceremony and then a reception last year but when we spoke to our venue, it sounded like we’d literally just get to sign a paper, be rushed out and everyone would need to wear masks alongside a few other things so we postponed the whole thing.

@beckyd88 congratulations, I think that’s when my dd will be based on ovulation, as it was late this month. Guess I’ll have to wait for the 12 week scan!

@disneyhopeful17 yes I definitely feel you, I’m so paranoid too. Kind of need a scan now haha.

Birnam · 25/07/2020 14:01

Finally got a CB test done!

Due april 2021
2020wish · 25/07/2020 14:03

@Birnam yay! How far along are you?

whiteolive · 25/07/2020 14:33

@Birnam congrats! I’ve been putting off testing on CB as don’t want to be disappointed.. 13 DPO today, might take one on Monday. Been using the little stick tests every day since Wednesday, they are getting stronger which is relieving...

Ladies, I’ve set up a Facebook group. It’s simply called Due in April 2021. It’s a totally private group so if anyone wants to join, feel free . There’s a question on there asking where you came across the group :) x

JTB123 · 25/07/2020 14:34

Me too!
Altho not sure how far I am, some apps say 4.5 weeks some say 5 weeks today!
Telephone midwife appointment booked for 10th august! EEEK 😁❤️

romaniac123 · 25/07/2020 14:45

@Kliz92 I'm having trouble getting to sleep and keep waking up after weird dreams too, but then again I was having this throughout lockdown when I wasn't pregnant :)

disneyhopeful17 · 25/07/2020 15:06

@kwastell its so strange that it happens after fertility appointments, sorry for your previous MCs fingers crossed for sticky beans this time for us both :)

LittleBeanie · 25/07/2020 15:10

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your BFPs, I am so excited for you all!!

I got my BFP this morning after the squintiest shadow yesterday. Tested on two strips and then rushed out to get a FRER that confirmed it. I can't believe it, and plan to continue testing for a few days just to be sure! But in the meantime wanted to introduce myself and start following this thread. I will join the Facebook group when I am more confident...

This is my first cycle TTC DC1. I came off Cerelle exactly 4 weeks yesterday, so am surprised my cycle seemed to jump right back to normal. I'm not sure when I ovulated as I haven't had a period in years due to the pill, but looks like I will be due first week of April. I have some symptoms that come and go, including nausea, loss of appetite, mild sensations in my lower stomach area and heightened sense of smell. Keeping everything crossed this is for real!!!

2020wish · 25/07/2020 16:06

@whiteolive can u post a link as I can’t find it

Kristy17 · 25/07/2020 16:07

@whiteolive ooh I was thinking of doing that, so definitely would love to join... what’s the link please? And 100% definitely private? Lol.

@Birnam and @JTB123 lovely digital, I’ve never done a weeks one. Got one more cheapy left then will probably have to stop testing 😂

@LittleBeanie welcome and congratulations, I think there are a couple of us who have been super lucky in cycle one.

mammii · 25/07/2020 18:35

Congratulations on everyone's BFPs! Exciting times ahead 😊

I would be interested in joining a Facebook group. I'm part of one from my first baby and find it really supportive!

PS is anyone else feeling majorly emotional? I feel really irritable and tearful right now... is it the hormones!? 😭

Kristy17 · 25/07/2020 19:04

@mammii I’m part of an amazing group for my first too. We’ve kept it small and there’s a group of 60 of us who still talk everyday. Emotion wise yesss, I was in tears over spiders last night, I don’t even normally mind them that much and it wasn’t a real one but my Oh thought he was super funny pretending to be a spider 🙈. My response was “welcome back to pregnancy” 😂
