@KO045 well I'm in the Glasgow area and I went on the local NHS website to find out what to do! They said either contact your GP or they provided a number for the local midwife service. I phoned the GP who were useless because they're still not seeing patients face to face and also let me know my GP has now left the practice.

So I phoned the midwife service myself to get the appointments sorted, took all of 5 minutes, and I'm also now waiting to register with another GP practice Grin

KO045 · 22/07/2020 20:31

@romaniac123 thats nuts, im in lanarkshire and they said when i called id be phoned in 1-2 weeks, collect a pregnancy pack from the reception of my doctors and that cause of the virus id likely just get a call appointment with the midwife.

so strange how different practices are working just now!

2020wish · 22/07/2020 23:56

I agree... everything is messed up. Throughout all my miscarriages this year no one would see me. At all! I had to pay private for a scan to ensure I had a completed miscarriage and check up. I know qualify for investigations and to be monitored early but I doubt that will happen. I plan to ring my epu around 5.5 weeks. My doctor was lovely this time around tho and has urgently referred me to obstetrics to be seen and maybe get medical support to carry this one. But I have doubts I will get seen. But I’m staying hopefully and taking aspirin and progesterone cream myself to help carry

Evening all,

Feeling a tad surreal here. Just this evening found out I'm pregnant with DC2 after 7 months of TTC

Test says 2-3 weeks, NHS due date calculator says March 28th, but DD was just over 2 weeks late.

I've been so busy with work having just returned from 3 months furlough that I hadn't even realised I was 3 days late!
At least it explains why I've been feeling so rubbish!

2020wish · 23/07/2020 06:13

@RasperryInAMelon welcome! I’ve been trying for 8 months. So stressful? Congrats on ur pregnancy. How many dpo /weeks are u?

I’ve just tested on a weeks indicator and I’ve also gotten a 2-3weeks! AF is only due tomorrow! In my last pregnancies I was still only getting 1-2 weeks on them. Hoping this is a good sign for me x

RasperryInAMelon · 23/07/2020 06:31

@2020wish test showed 2-3 weeks, I'm 17 dpo now, going to retest today just to be sure! I think I'm closer to 4-5 weeks based on my dates

2020wish · 23/07/2020 06:39

@RasperryInAMelon let me know how u get on. I think most people don’t get their 3+ until 21dpo and over 5 weeks so just be careful. I’m 14/15dpo today

Kliz92 · 23/07/2020 07:39

Good morning ladies! Sorry i was so quite yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
Congratulations @RasperryInAMelon and @romaniac123 welcome to that chat!
How is everyone feeling today?? Xxx

Hi Ladies, hope you don’t mind me joining! I found out yesterday we were pregnant again. Very early days as was only 10DPO giving me an estimated due date of 4th April. We had a miscarriage in May so although I’m excited I am so nervous and praying for a sticky bean! Hope you are all doing well today xx

RasperryInAMelon · 23/07/2020 08:24

Congratulations @whiteolive

Feeling sluggish today @Kliz92 - I found last time round I felt a bit rubbish in the run up to finding out and then it was as if once I'd done a test it was a smack in the face with every symptom going 🙈😂

KO045 · 23/07/2020 08:35

@RasperryInAMelon @whiteolive congratulations Ladies!

@RasperryInAMelon i was the same, i had felt super tired before i took the test but since last week when it came back positive i feel like all i want to do is sleep! thankfully no sickness yet.

Kliz92 · 23/07/2020 08:40

@whiteolive congratulations! Sorry to hear that, woshing you all the best this time round.
@RasperryInAMelon i know exactly what you mean! Im calling the midwife today as i didnt know you had too 🤦🏻‍♀️ with my first the doctors did it for me xx

I did a self referral last night with North Bristol Trust - should get a call within 5 days I think 🤞🏻

whiteolive · 23/07/2020 09:49

@RasperryInAMelon I feel your pain with feeling exhausted. I could just sleep all day.

Thinking of waiting a couple more weeks before contacting my GP as I just can’t shake the feeling that it’s going to be bad news again!

KO045 · 23/07/2020 11:03

@whiteolive fingers crossed this time :) xx

RasperryInAMelon · 23/07/2020 12:15

Keeping everything crossed for a sticky one @whiteolive

I know it's like pulling teeth trying to get an Appt around here so wanted to get it booked ASAP

whiteolive · 23/07/2020 13:19

@KO045 thank you 🤞🏻

@RasperryInAMelon where are you located ? I’m Nottinghamshire and it was actually very straight forward last time to get the booking appointment with GP and EPU were very helpful. I’m hoping it will be the same this time around.

Fingers crossed you get your appointments sorted.

Also hoping they start doing more face to face appointments soon rather than telephone conversations. It just feels a little lonely!

RasperryInAMelon · 23/07/2020 13:51

@whiteolive I'm in South Gloucestershire but under the North Bristol Trust.

DD was born at QE in Greenwich, London so not experienced this trust before

RasperryInAMelon · 24/07/2020 04:55

Why oh why have I been awake for an hour?? I'm bloody starving too! Anyone else?

whiteolive · 24/07/2020 06:08

@RasperryInAMelon 3.30am yesterday , 4.30am this morning. Really not helping with the tiredness throughout the day.

2020wish · 24/07/2020 06:46

Was just about to post this. Im waking every morning about 6 starving... like feeling sick with hunger.. I eat then go back to bed for a bit. During the day tho I feel bouts of hunger but then sort of sick and when I do eat I can’t eat much and nothing really tickles my fancy.. like I’m just eating it to make sure I’m eating and to take the slight sickness away but I’m not like ‘oh I’d love a burger right now’ and My sweet tooth has disappeared.., any one else?

Gryffindoratheart · 24/07/2020 07:23

Saying a very tentative hello!! I tested this morning and have a very faint pink positive, only 10/11/12 dpo and my period is due on Monday so will be testing again then to confirm.

Hopefully a sticky bean, will be due on 5th April 2021.

I had a miscarriage back in July 2018 and this is my first pregnancy since then so really hoping everything is okay this time xx

Nov19 · 24/07/2020 07:28

Hi everyone, congratulations on all these wonderful pregnancies!
Hope you don’t mind me joining - I found out two days ago I’m expected baby #3. It’s still early days, I think I’m due in the first week of April at some point.
I don’t feel ‘as pregnant’ as I did with my other DC at this stage which is worrying me a little but im trying to stay calm and hope symptoms pick up as time goes on.

I hope you’re all doing well

whiteolive · 24/07/2020 07:55

@2020wish hopefully it doesn’t last too long, this is how I feel too. Feels very different to the last time around which hoping is a good sign. The thought of eating makes me feel sick but I feel sick when I haven’t eaten ? Catch 22 lol

@Gryffindoratheart congratulations, fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time.

@Nov19 congratulations! Baby 3, how lovely.

Not sure how anyone feels about this but as more ladies join this thread, would anyone be interested in a private Facebook group? Was part of one earlier this year before the MC, it was very supportive and nice to talk about things with someone other than partners.

2020wish · 24/07/2020 08:07

I would like to join one but still a bit scared as I’ve had to leave 2 private groups this year :( but found it more supportive and easier to follow than threads. And I’m still in my private Facebook group from my daughter birth month which was started 10 years ago!
