Morning all!

We have four weeks left; time, still, to lose at least another 4lbs or so

Here's the Spreadsheet

Hopefully some good results to report!

Breakthrough to 14 stone something today! By the skin of my teeth and just in time for weigh in :) Can someone add me at 209.6lbs? Good luck to everyone.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 19/02/2018 06:52

Morning all Smile

Could someone add mine at 133 please? Many thanks Flowers

Mimosa1 · 19/02/2018 07:08

Congratulations to all the losers and NSVers.

As for me 4lbs down! After a frustrating 2 week stall when I stayed very much on bootcamp I persisted throughout some tricky social occasions, in particular my toddlers bday party which we hosted at home. So feeling really good! Especially as, drumroll... I've just sneaked into a normal
BMI and lost all the baby weight. Hurray! I couldn't have done it without 2 bootcamps and you lovely lot. I still have a way to go - next goal is to get from 70.8 into the 60s, but I'm utterly thrilled with this for now. Grin

ShagMeRiggins · 19/02/2018 07:14

1.8 down. For me that’s a very good week. 43 lbs down since I started this WoE. I’m not quite halfway to where I want to be but can see it so clearly now.

Thinking about giving up alcohol “for lent” (never too late to start) and seeing how it affects weight loss (and my skin).

Congratulations to everyone for losses and for KOKO.

Almahart · 19/02/2018 07:41

3ibs on! But I know why and am confident that it will go in a few days as will be mostly water.

I'm not going to drink for the rest of bootcamp apart from March 2nd. Am at the stage I always reach which is when I decide there's not that much time left and go to BIWI's strict menus. Four weeks is enough time to make a big difference

I first did BC three years ago I think but I really can't imagine going back to 'normal' eating this time.

I've also noticed how much easier it is to eat out or find snacks on the move. LC is definitely becoming more mainstream

Bluntness100 · 19/02/2018 07:44

Morning all, well done for the losses.

Agree Alma, it's becoming easier.

I like this woe too, but I've never been a huge carb fan, don't really like crisps, and find most others a bit bland. My downfall was sugar,,chocolate,,sigh.

Gammeldragz · 19/02/2018 07:45

Congratulations Grandoldduke on breaking the stone barrier and Mimosa on the normal BMI Star

I've lost 2.4lb this week, so finally getting back towards my lowest weight this bootcamp. I must stop yoyoing. No cheating this week, I've been fairly on it. Hopeful that I can get a new low weight by the end of this bootcamp if I really push it.

ASDismynormality · 19/02/2018 07:55

5.4lbs off this week for me, makes up for the 2.8lbs gain the previous week!

DakotaFanny · 19/02/2018 08:07

Only 0.4 off for me, and less than a pound in a month. Feel very conflicted by this;

1- grrr. This is pretty hard work for not a massive reward. I run 3 times a week (between 5 and 10k each time) and am finding that really hard. At the moment it’s like running through treacle, and even walking up the stairs can have my legs aching. Plus, with the amount I am eating (far, far less than six weeks ago) and the amount I exercise (according to my Fitbit I burn 2-2.5k every day) why is it not showing on the scales?

2- yay. I feel slimmer (I wore my size 14 jeans yesterday- massive woop!!) , my skin is way better. I know I need to give this time. In principle, I feel in my heart that this is good for me. I probably need to eat more veg.

So yeah, conflicted!

Any guidance much appreciated and good luck with all your weigh-ins.

Bluntness100 · 19/02/2018 08:16

Have you posted your menus? Dakota, inc portion sizes.

Also the fact you got into a size 14, what size were you at the beginning? Are you losing inches?

I don't use the scales, only clothes, as scales can make you weirdly obsessional...

TheWayOfTheWorld · 19/02/2018 08:21

1.2lb off for me, so inching towards the 130s. Hoping for some nice whooshes over the next few weeks to get me there! I am sure I'm guilty of carb creep, too much dark choc for sure, so will be reigning it in.

The other thing I've noticed is a lack of eggs, so will be having those a bit more too.

Sleep is much improved, I hardly ever wake up in the middle of the night anymore.

Dakota you've clearly lost inches even if the scales aren't showing much change. The body is a strange thing! When I started doing Crossfit a few years ago the scales hardly changed but my shape certainly did, so something is working for you! On the energy side, you will come through it. Quite a few people on here have run PBs in BC Smile

Also focus on how you are feeling about food generally - do you think about it less, get less hungry and desperate to eat/snack?

EeeSheWasThin · 19/02/2018 08:33

Morning all, I have stayed the same this week. Well done to all the losers!

I haven’t erred massively (I.e. whole meals) but I have had a couple of very carby things, still finding it difficult eating out. Thankfully we don’t do that much usually. No “social engagements” this week so hopefully can stick to the plan and maybe get into the elusive nines.

I like the look of the granola bars @Destinysdaughter posted on last week’s thread, but Destiny I agree they sound too nice to be allowed!

DakotaFanny · 19/02/2018 08:35

I haven’t posted any menus, no. I might do that, as I know it would definitely make me more aware of not eating enough veg (and perhaps not even eating enough full stop). Yesterday I had -

B- Low carb cheese scones with FLOButter
L- 2 pieces of bacon, full fat, 2 fried eggs, 1 avocado.
D- bolognese with mushrooms and courgette spaghetti
S- pork scratchings.

I started off a mid-low 16 and my 14s were tight, but on!

My dh reckons I look a lot slimmer and I trust his opinion. He’s not a bluffer. I can see that my love handles are less.

Bluntness100 · 19/02/2018 08:38

Your menu does not seem to bad. Yes you need more veg, but if you're dropping inches, I'd just ignore the scales, as said, I have no idea what I weigh, I simply go by my clothes. If I'm shrinking and they fit, that's good enough for me.

You could lose the scones and try something more low carb in the mornings...

ilovecherries · 19/02/2018 08:42

Still creeping down ounce by ounce. 62lbs off in total, 5 to go till a healthy bmi, and lost about 4ozs this week. It's all contribution, or so I tell myself. Wish there was something I could do to nudge it into action again but I cannot face another egg-fast itch so I'm just going to have to suck it up. No snacking I can cut out, only two meals a day, portions leave me satiated but not stuffed. I am NOT going to start the misery of calorie counting again. But in more positive news, another inch off my waist, making it, (I think, I'd need to check) 12.5 inches in total from there. It isn't less than that, and might be a bit more. And I'm still feeling very well. Just having a bit of 9 month slump, I think.

Kleptronic · 19/02/2018 08:48

I fell off the wagon. I will climb back on. Before that, on Saturday, I had stayed the same. Not weighing today.

Mimosa1 · 19/02/2018 08:48

Ilove and dakota is it possible that you're putting on muscle weight? As I recall, you've both upped exercise lately. I haven't darkened the door of a gym for 5 (!) years but hoping to get more exercise done when the days get lighter. I admire anyone who does exercise. I've never found something I enjoyed but I know I need to move more.

ilovecherries · 19/02/2018 08:48

Although having looked at the SoF, I realise I've lost 5lb this bootcamp. Which is much better than I realised. Must give myself a shake. I thought it was only about 1lb.

Spiderkitty · 19/02/2018 08:50

1.2lbs off this morning, really pleased not to have a gain and back on track for this week Smile

Would anyone be able to add my weight for me this week, please? It's 183.0lbs

Congratulations to the losers! I’m a bit miserable as I’ve apparently put on 2.6lbs despite a very good week. So nowhere near where I wanted to be by my birthday tomorrow Sad. Hoping some of it is bloating and constipation and trying to look at the overall picture, though it means have only lost 3.5lbs in total this bootcamp. I am going to have some cake tomorrow but otherwise going to try hard to keep going all week. Need to remember I’m still two stone lighter than I would be if I hadn’t started this WOE, and as I’ve got a very long way to go there are bound to be slow periods. DH has booked for us to go on a llama trek on Thursday as a birthday present so at least I know I’ll get a fair bit of exercise that day! Grin

Destinysdaughter · 19/02/2018 08:52

EeeSheWasThin those granola bars are v nice indeed! And so convenient for a quick snack. I think because they are so high in fibre, the net carbs are quite low. Problem is, they are v moreish!😀

Crumbs in my excitement I’ve wrote my weight down wrong.
It reads 10st 11.4lbs. Not used to writing ‘10’ Grin

DakotaFanny · 19/02/2018 09:08

Mimosa sadly not for me. I’ve been running for ages. Unless low carb makes you add on new muscle?

littleladylawyer · 19/02/2018 09:13

Thanks for the new thread BIWI and congratulations to all the losers- some great results Smile

I'm going to a spa this weekend which will mean wearing a bikini/swimsuit (shudders). As I carry any excess weight around my middle I'm considering a two day egg fast on Thursday/Friday to get rid of any water weight or bloating. ilove I know you struggled with Keto itch but how was it otherwise? Does anyone else have any experience of egg fasts or ideas to de-bloat beforehand?
