We have four weeks left; time, still, to lose at least another 4lbs or so

Here's the Spreadsheet

Hopefully some good results to report!

Thanks for the new thread BIWI.

Happy new teeth Abbey! I got mine straightened over the summer and I love them. I just need to whiten them a bit more now.

Im living in a house of lurgy and DH still in his boot, so all fun and games here. Came back from work an hour ago and still haven't managed to have any dinner and almost can't be bothered by now.

Well done on losses!

Great about your new teeth Abbey. They’ll be just as important as your weight losses in terms of confidence. I’ll own up on here, which I haven’t irl I’m recovering from lipo to my hips and thighs which I had last week. They’re currently swollen bigger than they started but one day soon I’m going to have newly shaped legs and slim hips! That’s why I’m doing bootcamp now, it’s all going to add to the new shape 😁

I know I said I'm bowing out, but I do have an NSV to report - new pyjamas tonight, a size smaller.

Thank you - it's something I've been promising myself (& saving up for) for years. I'm so fed up of keeping on the sidelines and out of photos because I've been so self-conscious and while my weight was an issue, it all sort of got mixed up together. Now I've proved to myself I can sort the weight, I'm tackling the other issues too. All quite revolutionary! I thought turning 60 was as good a turning point as any, and I want my 60s to be a whole lot better than my 50s. Now, that bloody 4lb...

(And yes, six hours...they did give me a half-hour break in ththe middle, though)

cloudylemons That sounds very brave of you - does it hurt? How long will it take to see the results?

Evening all, I've not posted for ages but have still been reading. Had a few half-term slip-ups but made some good choices too. It was DS's 10th birthday so lots to negotiate. Home has been tricky too, a very stressful time so I've been thinking about how that effects me. I've always said that I'm not an emotional eater and that I eat because I love food and I'm greedy. But I have been noticing that when things are difficult generally there is an increase in my food cravings and a decrease in my ability to resist. Petty obvious I guess but a new realisation for me. So I'm fighting the fuck its and kokoing. I stayed the same this week so haven't shifted the 2lbs I put on last week but overall I'm happy. New philosophy is to be down by the end of bc no matter by how small. This is definitely something I can embrace in the long-term and I'm already hoping there will be another bc to follow this one.
Sorry all very me me me there! Sarrya congrats on the job, sorry to the poster who injured themselves horse riding, pretty you are fab and an inspiration to us all and well done to everyone who is losing or just doing the best they can Grin - and congrats on the teeth abbey

Food today:
B: late, small portion of leftover chicken casserole
L: lovely creamy bacon, mushroom, leek and spinach bake
D: steak with spinach, broccoli and a shallot, mustard and Philly sauce
S: NONE Shock

Just checking in. I've lost my appetite :( not had breakfast 3 put of 4 days and only eaten lunch today - omelette with chorizo and feta. I usually eat Greek yoghurt for breakfast. I don't feel quite right and have a wedding dress fitting tomorrow - feel quite anxious about it and wonder if that's affecting me? Not been as regular over the weekend either, first time since I started. I have lost 4lbs dance starting 4 weeks ago so that's good, plus lost an inch or so. I'm sticking with it just abit frustrated that I've not lost more weight and that I'm feeling a bit crap in myself today.

Didn't check in yesterday so doing it now. I've pretty much stayed the same weight-wise (gone up by the tiniest ofmargins) but that's ok. I had gone up by a lb or lb and half during the week and now gone back down. I have so little to lose that every little bit is a fight but it is at least teaching me what might be the problem and adjusting accordingly. I think portion size is a bit hefty so I'm making a conscious effort to reduce that and i need to steer clear of nuts.
Great news about your teeth abbey. Massive confidence boost for you. Likewise to cloudy - sounds like it might be sore at the moment if your legs are swollen so hope that passes quickly and reveals some slim pins.

This marks the start of some strict bootcamping for me!

I’ve already drunk a ton of water and have a cold sausage in my bag for breakfast

I’m breaking non drinking into ten day chunks of which this is day one Smile

3 week weigh in 131.4lbs which means 10lbs lost this year, 5 of which since I started BC. Would be great except I first saw this weight 9 days ago and have been cycling between this and 1lb more ever since.

KOKOing while feeding all the leftover Christmas biscuits, and the bread and cake from my freezer, to my visiting parents Grin

MumOfAPickle I think realising why you (we) overeat and recognising the triggers for it is a huge part of getting to grips with sorting out weight problems and keeping it off. Not always easy to do, though.

Weighed in this morning and I'm up two pounds from last week, but down two of those mystery four that arrived from nowhere. Wondering if it might be too much dairy, as I'd been having creamy coffee for breakfast, so back to scrambled eggs again to see if that makes a difference.

Lovely morning here today, so taking the dogs to the beach for a good run.

Hi Abbey it does hurt actually! Which I’d underestimated. But it was not long ago, another week should start seeing a difference and in 5 weeks they should look the best I’ve ever had. Jeans shopping time!!
Btw cream in coffee stops me losing weight, so I’ve stopped buying cream at all.
Weight is down to 11 6 😊

Thank you lizards I hope so, I’ve always had big thighs and hips even when much smaller, I can’t wait. And how amazing that you’ve got to this point of hardly any weight to lose. Fantastic!

Weighed this morning, and am 93kg, which is a bit annoying as I saw 92.8, 92.6 and 92.4 each more than once last week, but I know I'll get there again.

My major interim goal is to get to 90kg in time for skiing in 4 1/2 weeks time, so it might just be achievable. I think dry Feb has helped.

I want my 60s to be a whole lot better than my 50s

Abbey, I totally get that, turning 59 a year ago was a turning point for me. My 50s had been a train wreck for various reasons, and I really felt the way I was going my 60s were just going to be more of the same. I also wanted to challenge that lazy assumption people often make that after the menopause change isn't possible. So I turned sixty earlier this month, 60+ lbs lighter than I was at 59, running 3 times a week, and with a wig wardrobe starting to rival Dolly Parton's (in quantity, not style!) like you, 4 more pesky pounds to go. Enjoy your new smile :)

Oh, and my bmi is in the 25s (25.6). I know that's still overweight, but I'm bloody delighted by that! I'd been starting to flirt with 35, so this is miraculous!

Just popping by to say thank you for the kind messages, I will continue to lurk on the threads and post where relevant, even if I am no longer doing full BC.

I found a new low carb bread yesterday, from Ocado. It's expensive (£2.50 for 5 slices!) but very filling, 3.7g carbs per slice but half a slice is pretty filling so you can cut carbs and £ a bit further that way. Tastes a bit like rye bread but milder. I had half a slice with soft cheese and two boiled eggs for breakfast today and am still very full.

I'm a newbie just starting boot camp I've done one week and wondered how I know if I'm in Ketosis . I've bought a packet of Keto sticks do I need to be a dark purple on the readout or is a trace okay.
Also I know I have to keep to 20/30 carbs a day but what is the best way to measure this and does this increase after boot camp ?

I'm dropping! Down to 12st1lb this morning, hurrah!

And I really fancied a hot drink today, so had a "mocha" made with pure cacao and coffee, with double cream, whizzed with a hand-foamer.

Very nice!

Haven't drunk enough water today though, it's been a weird one - feel like I've done nothing all day!

No loss last week but i wanted to report that i'm 12lbs down overall.

Tried a crustless quiche yesterday. Bit of a dog's dinner as it rose like a sponge cake and the red onions have gone a bluey green so it looks mouldy. Hmm I'll have to try it again

Have had chilli two nights in a row and having pork chops tonight.

Found out i'm going to be a bridesmaid in summer so that has added extra incentive!

Hi @collywobble this bootcamp shouldn't need you to measure anything. If you stick to the rules, your carbs will be low anyway but if you find it helpful, you can use MyFitnessPal and that will tell you how many carbs you've had each day.

The water drinking is really important so don't skip that (i'm still working on mine!) and try to meal plan so you don't get stuck!

Report
collywobble · 20/02/2018 13:15

Thank you for your reply . I'm drinking loads of water and really do feel so much better already .
One more question what does KoKoing stand for ?
