For all those who think trans politics doesn't affect you or your daughters - please read this article of a male forcing women out of their sport and the authorities are letting this happen. If you don't give a shiney shit about this incident - what exactly will it take for you to sit up and take notice and start saying enough.

Is that the weightlifter who competed in male events until a couple of years ago forcing the female champion to now switch to a different weight as she couldn't compete against the person with the male body - bones / muscle etc etc

Madness - we are being systematically removed by men!

I can't understand anyone getting het up about sport. Is there anything more pathetic than a grown adult crying because someone can run, jump or throw a ball better than them? Oh yes, the ones who cry because they can do it better than anyone else.

grannytomine I think you're rather missing the point! This is someone with a male body taking part in women's sport.

No one is crying.

Can someone please clarify. I know it says that the testosterone levels need to be at a certain level for 12 months. But have these supposed women been through surgery to have female genitalia or is it simply that they identify as women.

We need a huge female revolution to fight this, it's ridiculous.

If you feel at all able to, share this on Facebook.

You barely even need to comment on this. Just the picture on the article says it all.

No, surgery is not required. The new IOC guidelines, which came in before Rio say that anyone who identifies as a woman and meets the requirements regarding testosterone can compete as a woman.

Partyfops I think the person in question has had some surgery BUT until a couple of years ago identified as male. They have a male skeleton and male muscle mass etc what a surprise they are stronger!!

Normally I would agree with you, but in this case I believe that the OP and others have a valid point.

Granny, if you were about to win Wimbledon and only got beaten because you had to play a man feeling like a woman, would t you feel slightly peeved?

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 19/03/2017 19:32

Also the maximum testosterone level for a transwoman is still about 3 times the normal level for a woman.

Sorry can't get upset about sport. Biggest waste of time and money when people get all serious about it. Do it for fun fine, get all serious never.

Ollycat · 19/03/2017 19:35

granny this isn't about sport- it's about women!

stitchglitched · 19/03/2017 19:35

I don't understand why this person isn't embarrassed to be competing against women. They know they have a massive unfair advantage and any victory is completely hollow.

nancy I can assure you the chances of me winning the egg and spoon race are vanishingly small so I really can't get worried about winning Wimbledon but no I wouldn't care if it was a man, a woman, a man who feels like a woman or a woman who feels like a man. If they are better at it than me then they deserve to win.

If I want a chance of winning Wimbledon I would have to ask to have everyone under 60 disqualified, everyone who has done any training and quite honestly anyone with the hand eye co-ordination to hit the ball. Being male or female wouldn't be top of the list.

Jacques, yes big waste. Look at all the lottery money that goes to sport when the NHS and social services are creaking.

Granny I have less than zero interest in weightlifting. That doesn't stop me from feeling devastated for the female athletes who have trained and trained to excel in their sport only to be beaten by a man who is no longer in his prime enough to compete against the men but retains such a physical advantage that he can have a second career as a woman.

YANBU.

This is not just about Olympic level sport. This could destroy women's sport at all levels from primary school onwards Angry
