Right from the very start I knew it was him! That poor woman, having the life choked out of her for daring to leave her husband. A baby who will never know her mummy

Just heartbreaking

Ah no, shame it has come to this.

Bagelsandbrie Thu 17-Jun-21 20:48:27

Just awful. I also said to my daughter it was him from the moment it was on the news.

StrawberryFizz26 Thu 17-Jun-21 20:48:50

I knew it too. The poor woman & her baby.

So sad.

vinoandbrie Thu 17-Jun-21 20:49:09

Me too, I thought it straight away.

And when they wheeled him out for an interview and gave details in public of what happened, I thought ‘and the police know it’s you, too’.

That poor woman. And her beautiful girl. God bless them.

Prokupatuscrakedatus Thu 17-Jun-21 20:50:42

And it is important that he is Greek?
And British wife? Greek wife would not have been that bad then?

queenofarles Thu 17-Jun-21 20:50:49

Oh I just knew it was him! angry

He seemed not bothered at all when he gave his first interview.
I also don’t believe she threatened to leave, he must have planned for it for a while.
Poor , poor girl she was a child herself sad

I suspected him from the start. She was only 20 and they’d been together since she was 17. He’s 33 hmm

SecretKeeper1 Thu 17-Jun-21 20:51:25

It was obvious from the start and the Greek police have played it really well. Poor Caroline just wanted to LTB and he killed her.

PanamaPattie Thu 17-Jun-21 20:52:10

Not a surprise. Sadly.

Oh give over, I put Greek in the title so people would recognise the story

I knew it. Fucking bastard

frugalkitty Thu 17-Jun-21 20:53:00

Oh no! I thought it was him from the start too. Glad he's not got away with it.

SlipperyDippery Thu 17-Jun-21 20:54:02

From recollection, there was a Mn thread about this which was deleted for speculation about exactly this. Sadly I doubt many are surprised.

RIP Caroline flowers

Onewayoranother88 Thu 17-Jun-21 20:55:02

Absolute bastard. Going on TV and telling a pack of lies, going through the funeral still lying. I'm Greek and this story is horrific. Hope he's locked away for a very long gimrm

Jobseeker19 Thu 17-Jun-21 20:55:08

I knew it too!
I've watched too many unsolved mysteries.

TheSpottedZebra Thu 17-Jun-21 20:55:10

The account just made no sense, and I suspect the press knew /suspected also and reflected this in their reporting.

Poor Caroline.

Onewayoranother88 Thu 17-Jun-21 20:55:19

Time*

Domoresteps Thu 17-Jun-21 20:56:34

Yes not at all surprised sadly. The way she died didn’t fit with the story he had concocted.

Onewayoranother88 Thu 17-Jun-21 20:56:52

Poor little girl, losing both parents in a sense.
Like PP said, she was 20 and married to him with a baby, he was 33, that was odd

Hoppinggreen Thu 17-Jun-21 20:57:23

Poor Caroline
He is an evil evil man and it was pretty obvious from the start that his story was a pack of lies

dreamingbohemian Thu 17-Jun-21 20:58:12

I'm not any kind of true crime person but even I thought 'no fucking way' when I read his version of it

ssd Thu 17-Jun-21 20:58:35

Awful story

RIP Caroline flowers

I remember that, think it was in feminism

DariaMorgendorffer Thu 17-Jun-21 21:03:50

I fucking knew it.

Rest in peace beautiful Caroline. I'm so, so sorry.
