Right from the very start I knew it was him! That poor woman, having the life choked out of her for daring to leave her husband. A baby who will never know her mummy

Just heartbreaking

What about the woman who disappeared in the pyrenees?

I knew too. Nothing added up. Didn't want to say that before though, on the off chance that my gut instinct was wrong.

I knew it too. Especially as she got with him so young. She must have been leaving him. I argued with DH about it. Was about to send him this link then thought that is a shit thing to gloat about. Poor woman.

"Police flew into a Greek island where Mr Anagnostopoulos has been mourning with relatives to shuttle him back to Athens earlier today.

A spokesman from the homicide division told local broadcaster Ant1, 'the data discovered in the analysis cannot wait.'

The spokesman said that Mr Anagnostopoulos was informed yesterday but police had respected his wishes to attend a memorial for his wife today."

I am really disgusted that he was allowed to attend the memorial though!

Sadly unsurprising. The story didn’t add up from the start, I suspect a lot of people thought it was him. Perhaps the police were giving him enough rope to hang himself.

Makes me so sick how he told all those bullshit stories to the media and to Caroline's family, trying to garner sympathy as the poor husband whose wife had been killed. Inventing an entire cock and bull story about the burglary. Sick and evil bastard.

Awful. Her age is relevant as many men who are abusive seek out much younger girls/women who are easier to control.

This is what made me think it was him. I was in a relationship with a much older man as a teenager. As I grew up he became more and more abusive. It felt like projection because I don't know them but I could well imagine the dynamic and I knew in my bones what had happened.

@Bluntness100

Just awful and I know this will sound odd, but he killed their dog too. I just can’t even begin to understand what he did, he murdered his wife rhen he murdered the dog too. It’s beyond horrific.

Family aniliators (spelling).

They kill everything out of revenge. Christopher Foster killed his daughter, wife, the dogs and horses.

A case near me tnat I was involved with work wise the father killed the son and the dogs and rabbit. He sent a text to hisformer wife saying nothing woukld be left.

It is a specifically male crime.

My post will probany be deleted for saying it is men who do it. But IME is usually men who do it.

I also though it was him who killed Caroline. But I kept telling myself not to be jaded by my work background which is based around violent men and mostly in prisons.

Me and my 16 year old dd discussed this when it first happened. We both agreed it was obvious it was him and the police were playing the long game.

This is whole thing is just awful.

@BlueLobelia

It's a statistical fact that men are responsible for the vast majority of violent crime. The figures are ridiculous, something like 99% of violent crimes are committed by men.

It's why women's prisons seldom have maximum security units. Female criminals are usually prostitutes, drug dealers etc. Not murderers.

So very sad, what with this news and the awful story this week from the Canaries about the man who is presumed to have murdered his daughters then thrown their weighted bodies into the sea , not to conceal his crime but to deny his ex the chance to bury her children, it makes me despair about the mentality of these men. Of course it’s not all men, I know that, but there is something frightening about the similarities about these stories, the possessive jealousy, the spite, the callous killing, the conviction that this is the only solution.

Makes me shudder.

Like the fucker in Tenerife who killed his own 2 daughters to punish the wife who
left him.

His story was too detailed and elaborate for someone who had been through so much trauma.

One of my best friends is a DCI in the Met and he's always said that too much detail is one of the biggest giveaways - liars always seem to have a rehearsed story

I am sick to death of men and their violence.

Not all men. I have been in 3 relationships. One was a dick, the 2nd one not violent and the 3rd one my best friend and treats me like a Queen.

Me too. Her family will be disgusted that he had been allowed to stay and play his part of the bereaved husband. The police made a mistake in letting him attend the memorial.

Yup, also thought it was him. Thankfully, so did the police. What a piece of shit. RIP Caroline Crouch.
