Right from the very start I knew it was him! That poor woman, having the life choked out of her for daring to leave her husband. A baby who will never know her mummy

Just heartbreaking

Sorry for the daily shame link 😞

Huh, I was just thinking today "it'll be a bad sign now if a man asks you to take off your Fitbit..." It's depressing that more of us had the similar thoughts, but not surprising really. We all know how it goes.

@RickiTarr

This is good advertising for Fitbit. Word will spread not to kill a woman wearing one.

Sounds so flippant but terrifying at the same time.

Coincidentally, a French man has just been arrested for murdering his wife based on Fitbit evidence too. She has been missing since December.

Just for the record, Anni Dewani's husband was exonerated in court.

@EsmaCannonball

As soon as I saw this case it reminded me of Anni Dewani. There is no way that criminals that ruthless are going to leave a living witness.

Exactly, if you are the kind of person who is ruthless enough to kill one person during the course of a crime you wouldn't hesitate to kill another one, no way would you leave an adult witness that could potentially identify you.

@DrinkFeckArseGirls

That’s what happens when women tell violent men they want to leave.

Apparently Caroline was due to check into a hotel that night.

Sorry! Wrong thread.

I was shocked when I saw this as I felt it was him from the beginning but didn't expect to be right.

Does anyone know who is caring for the baby ?Sad.

I hope he never gets out. To torture her, kill her dog in front of her, then kill her, all with her baby there. He should never be free again.
That poor woman and baby, her family must be broken.
He will also have previous girlfriends who he has abused.

Just seen it's been reported on the BBC and there is a photo of him hugging her mother at the memorial service. What an absolute fucking bastard, imagine the nerve.

I couldn't understand at the time why they robbers murdered the wife when the husband would have been more of a threat physically. Or why only one of them and not the other. It just didn't make sense.

A terrible loss for Caroline’s loved ones. I think it was pretty obvious from the start that he was guilty. There’s a clip of him speaking to the press as he’s standing next to his car and he can barely make eye contact, keeps looking down and glancing to the side while holding the car door in front of him like a barrier or shield. He’s just giving himself away.

Age gaps are very common in male/female domestic violence cases. The fact it that an inadequate man will choose a young partner since their naivety and lack of experience makes them easier to manipulate.

RIP, Caroline

@EsmaCannonball The Anni Dewani case is just awful.

And he dragged it out getting to trial and got away with it. Makes me sick, when I think of it.

Honestly, I’m quite naive and clueless at trying to figure things out but even I knew it was him! He was way too calm and I couldn’t stop thinking about why they would only target her and then leave him relatively unscathed.

It makes me feel sick to my stomach 😡😞

But then the police probably thought so too, but had to find the evidence.
What an absolute twat.

Women shouldn’t tell the man they are planning on leaving, they should always just pack their things up when he’s not around and go. It’s honestly the safest way, especially if you feel the man is controlling or abusive in some other way.

This story is so very tragic. The baby is the same age as mine and I just feel so much sorrow for her. I hope he is locked up for a very long time.

Poor Caroline & her baby daughter, and family, how do you begin to recover from such a loss. So, so sad. RIP beautiful Caroline Flowers

So so well said, @viques! It's from the root to help women, particularly those who are young and could easily fall into deception without the right perspective to protect themselves once becoming a domestic violence victim...

That story haunted me for days , feeling sorry for the wife and what she suffered before death (in front of the baby, as it was told.) Bastard evil soul! I do agree the other previous post. He might well have planned it for a while, instead of an instant temper strike. Someone who lied once, would lie more.

To confess, I didn't think it was the husband. (I didn't watch the TV or his interview. Only read the news.) I wanted to believe they were a loving couple! Naive me!

RIP to the beautiful mum... It's heartbroken to think the baby would grow up one day realising his dad murdered his mum when he was about. Hope his family from his mum's side would adopt him, not falling into orphanage... Poor child, he's so little. SadSadSad
