Right from the very start I knew it was him! That poor woman, having the life choked out of her for daring to leave her husband. A baby who will never know her mummy

Just heartbreaking

Sorry for the daily shame link 😞

I am sick to death of men and their violence.

KnickersOnTheLine · 17/06/2021 21:11

I thought it was him too, then felt sorry for thinking so when the police seemed to believe his story. God I’m naive. Poor Caroline, and her poor, poor family. So heartbreaking.

MangosteenSoda · 17/06/2021 21:14

I think the police, the media who spoke to him and reported on it as well as anyone who paid any passing interest in the story suspected him.

Partly because, sadly, the partner is often the culprit and partly because he appeared to be suspicious af.

RIP to that beautiful lady and sympathy to her family.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 17/06/2021 21:17

Oh - I also thought he was responsible (like the American who murdered his pregnant wife and 2 little girls and went on tv crying for them to ‘come home’).

I guess women know the score - you are more likely to be murdered by a ex/partner than ‘a bad man’.

I remember hearing a radio programme about how the police investigate people they suspect of being responsible rather than victims (they highlighted that loathe some pair who set fire to their home and murdered several of their children and went crying in national TV for witnesses). It seems as if the police often have suspicions but just give them enough rope.

JSL52 · 17/06/2021 21:21

I said this straight away ☹️

TheFormidableMrsC · 17/06/2021 21:21

Oh God I can't believe this. I also thought it was him. His reaction was SO off. Vile man.

Silkiecats · 17/06/2021 21:22

I expected this from the start - poor woman, baby and dog Sad

queenofarles · 17/06/2021 21:23

It was so similar to the American Murder documentary I saw last year Sad

I couldn’t bring myself to watch that 😢

Same OP.

It was sadly obvious. "Shit, another one of us."

leli · 17/06/2021 21:26

Yes, me too. It was obviously him. Respect to the Greek police.

BluePeterVag · 17/06/2021 21:26

I also felt he was guilty, and I thought the police thought so too. Just awful.

Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 17/06/2021 21:26

I had a weird feeling it was him also! I was hoping I was wrong.

Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 17/06/2021 21:27

@Longdistance

I suspected him from the start. She was only 20 and they’d been together since she was 17. He’s 33 Hmm
Not entirely sure how that is relevant.
PicsInRed · 17/06/2021 21:27

Oh, and commenters, generally, who said "no man would kill his own dog" fucking weeping bollocks.

Priorities, gentlemen. Priorities.

RaraRachael · 17/06/2021 21:28

Some murder stories just don't ring true and I thought this was one right from the start.

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 17/06/2021 21:28

@leli

Yes, me too. It was obviously him. Respect to the Greek police.
Yes, it did seem obvious but the police were obviously playing the long game
GnomeOrMistAndIceGuy · 17/06/2021 21:30

All us fucking women knew it from the start. Another woman snuffed out by a vile specimen of man. Will this ever end?

userxx · 17/06/2021 21:30

Knew it too. So sad. The whole story didn't stack up.

@Myusernameisnotmyusernameno I think it's relevant, a 20 year old is easier to control and manipulate then maybe someone his own age.

ComDummings · 17/06/2021 21:33

Yeah it was obvious from the beginning. Awful man. The police must have been just waiting for him to mess up the whole time, it must have been so frustrating. RIP Caroline

justanotherneighinparadise · 17/06/2021 21:33

Fucking he’ll I had no idea. The story made no sense to me so I bloody should have guessed!!!! Sick bastard.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 17/06/2021 21:34

Sadly, it's news that surprises no one.

randomkey123 · 17/06/2021 21:34

That poor little baby Sad

I also had a feeling about him from the word go. He had cold eyes.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 17/06/2021 21:36

Demonstrating yet again that women are (in the main) most in danger from the men in their lives than anyone else.

CharlotteRose90 · 17/06/2021 21:36

Yep I said it straight away. Does he have another wife or something by any chance.
