I couldn’t see an existing thread.

I know Adriene is popular on this board and I wondered if anyone else is planning to do her January 2025 course, Prana?

It is a seven-day course this year rather than her previous 30-day programmes.

Thank you for starting this thread! I have often done the 30 day ones in the past and then my yoga practice falls off a cliff but I hope this will ease me back into it especially as 7 days to start isn't too much of a commitment

Yes, thanks @VelociraptorsVelociRapping I've not done proper yoga for ages although I really do mean to do it daily. This will be great to get back into it as I've done some of the others before and really enjoyed. I'll be checking in!

Just changed sofa covers. That was my workout for the day! A warm up for tomorrow 🥰🧘

Since it's only seven days this time, is it likely to be more or less intense? Plus in the trailer she says something about there being a surprise if you get to the end ... do we think the surprise is more yoga?! 😂

I’ve no idea!!! I think it’s going to be slow and thoughtful and focused on breathing…I hope! But with some intense moves

I think the surprise will be something subscription related

The January calendar including the 7 days is here if you want to see the timings. There’s a extra day 8 meditation listed which I assume is the surprise.

Yes that’s what she said. Her Christmas was spent perfecting the 30 day. But I will
miss that push in the new year. I really enjoyed the thread for company, motivation and everyone comparing notes/ tips

I think it took 6 months to make!! And she wants to do other things. Happy new year all!! Just going to have a look

I had done some yoga with Adrienne in the past but lost touch with it, and I didn't know there was a programme starting today.

I've just done the Day One video and it was really good. A very constructive start to my day and to my year, so your thread has really made a difference to me. Flowers

Done day one. I've never managed to complete 30 days!

My yoga classes don't start until the middle of January so this 7 day schedule is perfect.

Just done Day 1 and really enjoyed it. I found it gentle enough not to be gritting my teeth thinking are we done yet but absorbing enough to feel uplifted after it.

Looking forward to Day 2.

@RunSlowTalkFast Adriene does a calendar every month with old - and the occasional new - routines. This is January’s calendar with the first week the all new Prana series.

Yes, it was very gentle. A lot of focus on the breath. Just the one downward dog, and other than that the most challenging thing was a warrior position (but she did emphasise that there was no need to make the stance a big one). Most of the other movements were mainly about loosening up and moving with your breath.
As usual with Adrienne she was very good at making you feel comfortable with listening to your own body and staying with its needs.

Definitely gentle which was what I needed. In a fit of peak I picked a random video a few days ago having not done yoga since last January. I am still stiff from that one but today’s was easy peasy. Just what I needed.

Did Prana day 1 this morning. Found it very powerful for such a gentle practice. I felt great afterwards, but it might be because I haven't done any yoga for a month or two.

@Doggielove cross legged is always difficult for me so I just sit differently. Yoga is all about doing what you can and what feels good rather than beating yourself up if you can’t do it all.
