Yoga With Adriene January 2025: Prana

I couldn’t see an existing thread.

I know Adriene is popular on this board and I wondered if anyone else is planning to do her January 2025 course, Prana?

It is a seven-day course this year rather than her previous 30-day programmes.

Day 7 done. Another enjoyable one. Loved the child's pose flow at the beginning.

I've got a busy day tomorrow so a bonus Day 8 meditation will probably be just what I need.

Moving forward I'm going to work my way through a Kassandra 15-30 minutes playlist on the days I don't have my in-person classes.

I hope Adriene does some more 7 day ones though.

Did day 6 this evening. Not easy. The swinging leg round thing made my hip cramp up. I also couldn't finish one of the abs exercises.

Great, I'll work through the rest of the January calendar too then. Might try to add some yoga tomorrow as it looks like otherwise it's just a 10 minute meditation although, as above, that may be just what's needed. Handy to have the timings up front to help plan when to fit it in!

As it happens 10 minutes is exactly what I need tomorrow, as I will be spending most of the day driving. Hurrah for Adriene!

hanahsaunt · 07/01/2025 22:20

Well. Day 7 was just lovely ☺️.

Liverpoodle · 08/01/2025 14:19

I didn’t feel like meditation today so went back to day one which was much easier after a week of yoga.

Rummikub · 08/01/2025 14:29

Does anyone else feel like repeating the 7 days?

I saw a shop called prana yesterday so think the universe is encouraging me to 😂

Rummikub · 08/01/2025 14:33

I can only access you tube videos as not on any social media. Or member of ywa.
So I’ll redo the 7 days. I always find it worth repeating.

guinnessguzzler · 08/01/2025 16:07

@Rummikub I am tempted to do that but think I'm going to try working through the calendar. I presume you just look up the relevant video from there on Youtube or do you need a YWA membership? I was just going off the calendar someone posted upthread. I enjoyed the meditation today and will see how I feel tomorrow.

@Liverpoodle That's good to know, it's amazing how much progress you can make just sticking at it every day.

Rummikub · 08/01/2025 18:04

@guinnessguzzler I’m not tbh. Hopefully it is easily accessible.

15minutesaday · 08/01/2025 18:32

Bonus Day 8 done. To be honest, I nearly fell asleep. But I am tired.

You don't need youtube accounts or social media presence @guinnessguzzler . I have neither and googled yoga with adriene calendar which took me to her website - it's all freely available on there with links to click on and on youtube.

I'm going to do her 15 minute yoga for digestion bija practice when I get in later on. It will probably be a nice bendy twisty one and perfect for before bed.

guinnessguzzler · 08/01/2025 19:04

Oh brilliant, thanks for confirming @15minutesaday Sounds good!

Yogachick · 08/01/2025 19:23

Did the Day 8 meditation then one from Sarah Beth calendar. I don’t think just meditation is right for me most days,I need an asana practice as well.
On the app there’s talk of doing Light &/or Ritual before repeating Prana at the end of the month. I haven’t completed either of those as yet so pondering

Jumbojem · 09/01/2025 13:00

Day 6 for me today, not as bad as I feared. The leg raise and move to sides one I could feel in my glutes more than abs. I struggle with core ones though as my core is weak other muscles always switch on instead, hip flexors, back or glutes depending on the pose. Something I need to work on!

ErnestClementine · 09/01/2025 16:39

I've been enjoying Prana but am behind on the days. Hope to get Day 7 done later!
I enjoyed Day 6 in a weird way - I usually try and avoid abs, but felt how good it was for me.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 09/01/2025 17:38

I did the day 8 meditation last night, and today’s 15 minutes of sitting still this morning after a run (so was quite happy to sit still).

Yogachick · 09/01/2025 18:24

Did meditation from Adriene calendar, then today’s SB and Jan 1st SB. Adriene gives a lot of guidance in the meditation, I prefer a bit more quiet

Wolfcub · 09/01/2025 18:24

Finally did day six. Had to adapt a couple of things as dodgy joints weren't keen on some of the moves but it was very like some of my old Pilates classes so I enjoyed it

Yogachick · 10/01/2025 18:02

SB meditation, then today’s 10 min for hips from her calendar. Then Day 1 of Light from FWFG app. Chakra led so today was root Chakra. One of the best practices I’ve ever done. Clear instruction, soft music( I love music with yoga, know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea)& the flow of the asana just worked. There was cow legs in there ,even sitting on a block mine was a very vague suggestion but hey ho ‘‘twas my version

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 10/01/2025 18:13

That sounds great @Yogachick

I am following the January playlist. Just did today’s - 15 minutes movement medicine, with a sneaky side plank for good measure. We’re on holiday in a tiny cottage, with just about enough room at the end of the bed to practice.

narniabusiness · 10/01/2025 18:25

Snap @OhOneOhTwoOhThree What a lot she packed into that practice. I even managed to lift my top leg in that side plank (followed by a rather undignified collapse however).

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 10/01/2025 19:07

Well done @narniabusiness! I was so surprised to have got into side plank I didn’t dare take it any further 😄

Wolfcub · 10/01/2025 21:31

Completed day 7. I think it's just clear that mon-wed are just not feasible for me to do a ten hour work day, walk the dog, ferry ds, cook and yoga even though it would probably do me good I don't have the energy or headspace

15minutesaday · 10/01/2025 22:04

Had a day off yesterday - went for a good walk in the frosty, cold, frozen sunshine instead.

Did the first one of the Kassandra 15-30 min yoga playlist this evening - chair yoga. I found it harder than I expected and couldn't quite master seated Warrior 2. I feel surprisingly chilled and zen after it. It was the first chair yoga I've done so wasn't sure what to expect.

Yogachick · 11/01/2025 20:36

Sounds intense @Wolfcub , not surprised yoga seems a struggle on top of that. Only thing I can offer is Sarah Beth has some 5 min practices🤷‍♀️
Calm meditation ,10 min SB from calendar and Light Day 2,Sacral chakra. Lovely

Wolfcub · 11/01/2025 20:40

That sounds good yoga chick I'll check it out. I did Adrienne's 30 mons for stress today which was good but pigeon pose was a bit challenging
