Yoga With Adriene January 2025: Prana

I couldn’t see an existing thread.

I know Adriene is popular on this board and I wondered if anyone else is planning to do her January 2025 course, Prana?

It is a seven-day course this year rather than her previous 30-day programmes.

⬆️ “Still can’t”

I’d be up for that too. I didn’t finish breath properly. Her most recent one. Which one you thinking of doing?

No strong opinions! I've done most of them I think, would be happy to revisit any - what do you think?

Wolfcub · 02/01/2025 18:07

Well day two was a bit tougher.

narniabusiness · 02/01/2025 18:38

Another enjoyable session. I’d been reading all your comments today and so knew to expect some harder poses and the plank stationary hold was quite demanding. I don’t recall any froggy squats though.

Definitely one that has shorter sessions. I’m not ready for 30-40 min sessions. Breath fits the bill and the one before I think. But can’t remember what it was called.

hanahsaunt · 02/01/2025 19:05

Just done. Lovely time and a good length.

15minutesaday · 02/01/2025 19:26

Did Day 2 before dinner. Just what I needed after a day stuck at a desk but it was a bit more challenging than Day 1! I never spotted any froggy/squats though @Liverpoodle

Plenty of evil planks "and we're coming out of it in, you know you can do it, we're coming out of it in five, you're doing great, get ready to go chest to floor, and four, three, you're nearly there, you can do it, two, and get ready to collapse in an exhausted heap lower yourself to the floor for baby cobra, one".

comedycentral · 02/01/2025 19:27

Ooh thank you for sharing this.

happytobemrsg · 02/01/2025 19:35

Oh no day 2 is sounding tough 😳

Oooh yes you're right! Absolutely up for this, will try and research the shortest session ones 🤣

I'd be up for this too. A few years ago I joined some people on here doing a few of these after the January one and it was really good, definitely kept me going. I think I fell out of it in the end so would be good to get back to daily yoga long term.

Liverpoodle · 02/01/2025 20:41

I wonder what on earth I did, it definitely didn’t have any planks 🤣
I’ll have to do day 2 tomorrow and catch up at some point.

Rummikub · 02/01/2025 20:55

Don’t worry about catching up. Just do one everyday. I’ll be doing day 2 tomorrow.

Yogachick · 02/01/2025 21:05

@Rummikub Centre or Move were shorter sessions. I understand Centre to be easier though I’ve never done it myself. I got the app for a month @Jumbojem ,day3 is already on .
I’m relieved to be back on the mat with Adriene. Day 2 was lovely with the breath and tough with the planks( on my knees )

this is an ongoing daily practice thread I’ve found a great help for consistency

Daily Practice - January 2025 | Mumsnet

Started the Sarah Beth 30 day challenge in the morning, then did an hour of power yoga in the evening. Meditation in bed.

Rummikub · 02/01/2025 21:07

Brilliant @Yogachick thanks. Yes perhaps one of those 2 first.

narniabusiness · 02/01/2025 21:22

Move was the first series I did. It’s very exercise focused so great if you feel like a couch potato this time of year. I liked last years Flow for 20 min practices with a good mixture. I didn’t enjoy Center very much. There were a lot of eagle arms, some odd circles with the torso and one session that seemed to consist of walking backwards and forwards. I’ve recently done Breath which was lovely pre Christmas when I needed something calming.
I hope you find a series to suit you @ChimpiestoftheChimps

HilariousNames · 02/01/2025 21:24

This has given me the nudge I need! I love Adrienne.

Rummikub · 02/01/2025 21:24

Oh maybe I mean flow from last year 🤦🏽‍♀️

that was 20 mins?

EmmaStone · 02/01/2025 22:41

Day 2 done, lovely, but wasn't expecting those planks!

15minutesaday · 03/01/2025 13:28

Just done Day 3. I liked this one. Great for anyone with a phlegmy cough and a bit of trapped wind Grin

I just wish I could step forward from downdog without having to put my back knee on the floor.

Got my groove on with the gate pose side-angled windmill arms flow.

Wolfcub · 03/01/2025 16:23

I enjoyed day three. I also can't step forward without dropping the knee

Liverpoodle · 03/01/2025 16:28

Did day three which was easy apart from jiggling about to get from down dog to forward lunge. Then did the first half of day two which I managed to miss yesterday. That did seem more full on with plank so I wonder if she is alternating easier with more difficult. That said I guess we all find different things hard.

happytobemrsg · 03/01/2025 17:49

The first 30d series I did was centre. Then I did Move & much preferred it!

Yogachick · 03/01/2025 17:57

Prana Day 3. Love breath of fire ,always peps me up & clears out my snotty nose🙄 prepared with tissue fortunately as soon as I realised we were doing it 😁

guinnessguzzler · 03/01/2025 18:32

Good thinking with the tissue @Yogachick 🤧 Just done Day 3. Definitely enjoyed and it was nice and short.
