Yoga With Adriene January 2025: Prana

I couldn’t see an existing thread.

I know Adriene is popular on this board and I wondered if anyone else is planning to do her January 2025 course, Prana?

It is a seven-day course this year rather than her previous 30-day programmes.

Some of them are i we 30 mins. I can’t even cope with 26 mins!

These are a nice length. Bit behind did day 3 today. I do not find dd restful at all. Too hard on my wrists.

Yogachick · 05/01/2025 17:34

Day 5 and the rebirth meditation that was on the app for today as well ✅

Rummikub · 05/01/2025 17:35

“more than”

15minutesaday · 05/01/2025 18:14

Day 5 done and dusted.

How did she know I did both bridge and happy baby? 👀

Very curious about 'Day 8'

I'm not a fan of extended time in downward dog either @Rummikub. Don't mind it as a transition and I quite enjoy 3 legged dog, but not staying there for 73 million breaths.

She did the evil plank countdown trick again. Adriene, how can you be so mean to us? Grin

Rummikub · 05/01/2025 18:42

@15minutesaday she just knows!

Jumbojem · 05/01/2025 19:51

I haven't done Day 4 or 5, will try to catch up as this is only a 7 day series it feels like it'll before over before I've even got into the swing of it! Thankfully plenty of other yoga out there to do. I did once start doing all the 30 day programmes from the start but I don't know if it was Dedicate or Revolution, but one of them had loads that were 40 -45 minutes long. Way more than I had time for on top of work and other stuff so the plan to do them all dwindled. Maybe one day, a retirement plan perhaps 😂

hanahsaunt · 05/01/2025 20:19

Somehow life got in the way of day 4 but stuck with day 5 today and it was good. I do find the left over right twist too challenging (two new hips in the last year) but otherwise a great back to core strength and stability.

ChimpiestoftheChimps · 05/01/2025 21:29

I've just done day 4, have been a day off from the beginning as usually day 1 is just a v gentle chat intro and so I factored that into starting on 2nd Jan! (and 1st Jan involved a v soggy new years day walk on the beach and sea swim so didn't have time!). I don't find DD particularly comfy at the moment, hard work but have already noticed that knee to nose (!) has got easier... Albeit my knee is nowhere near my nose!

guinnessguzzler · 05/01/2025 21:36

Day 5 'in the books'. Nice and relaxing to do at this time of night, so looking forward to a good sleep now! Well done everyone for keeping going with it.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 06/01/2025 13:46

How could I have forgotten that day 6 is ab day...only 17 minutes so hopefully short and sharp.

happytobemrsg · 06/01/2025 16:40

Well done everyone!
I’m going to be super behind as doing this alongside in person yoga classes. Hoping to do Day 2 on Wednesday as had a class today & will have yin yoga (my favourite) on Friday.

Rummikub · 06/01/2025 16:43

I’m tempted to repeat this. I akways find there’s things I’ve missed

narniabusiness · 06/01/2025 17:24

Short abbs session, but enough for me. It’s always interesting to try something new and the move with the extended leg in table position was new to me.
I like the music she is using this year. I wonder what it is.

Yogachick · 06/01/2025 17:30

Day 6. Got cramp in each leg with the extended table move. Weird. I always find day 6 mega tough as have zero ab strength. 17 mins was quite enough😳

DaphneLaurel · 06/01/2025 17:41

Day 5 done.

Wolfcub · 06/01/2025 17:42

Day six is going to have to wait for me as I've spent 10 hours at work and then shovelled snow for 40 mins and I'm dead

hanahsaunt · 06/01/2025 19:39

Gosh day 6 was hard. Normally I really like abs sessions but this felt tough in terms of hip stability and confidence.

guinnessguzzler · 06/01/2025 21:15

Yes, agree 17 mins was quite enough! Definitely found this one tough.

15minutesaday · 06/01/2025 22:47

Day 6 done. Yes, that was tough and I probably should have done it earlier in the day and before anything to eat Grin

I quite enjoyed the table top leg swinging round thing but I think my hips will feel it tomorrow!

guinnessguzzler · 07/01/2025 10:15

Prana? Completed it, mate! Feeling a bit sad that it's over so quickly now but there's the Day 8 bonus for tomorrow. Did anyone agree on a Yoga with Adriene program to move on to together?

Liverpoodle · 07/01/2025 12:59

I’ve done today which was a nice easy ish end to the series. I would be interested in continuing something tomorrow with others if a series is agreed on.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 07/01/2025 13:02

@guinnessguzzler I have also completed Prana - the video was on 279 views at 9.02 today, which makes a change from the many thousands of views Adriene's videos have usually clocked up by the time I do one.

I plan to keep going through the January playlist. I liked how last year's monthly playlists built on each other.

Yogachick · 07/01/2025 17:00

Finished Prana , first time I’ve ever finished a series days in a row. Very proud of myself.

narniabusiness · 07/01/2025 19:19

I really enjoyed this series. Definitely on the repeat list one day. I think I might continue with the January series as well @OhOneOhTwoOhThree There are quite a few short ones in there (less than 20 mins) and that initially put me off, but I tend to find that if I do the suggested videos it turns out to be just what I needed. Karma I guess. 😁

guinnessguzzler · 07/01/2025 20:05

Great, I'll work through the rest of the January calendar too then. Might try to add some yoga tomorrow as it looks like otherwise it's just a 10 minute meditation although, as above, that may be just what's needed. Handy to have the timings up front to help plan when to fit it in!
