Anyone else excited for this? Ready to get going in the new year?

I got all excited when it was announced but just can't get the site to load. Had anyone else managed to get into it?

I've just done day 1 and enjoyed it. Gentle but with enough challenge. I really struggled with straightening my front leg from the lunge but my hamstrings are very tight, I used to be able to get my leg through from downward dog but the ability has completely deserted me.

Luckily my dogs left me in peace. Benji they are not Grin

BestIsWest · 02/01/2024 12:39

Day 1 done. I needed my blocks. I am so stiff but at least not back to where I was two years ago.

ErnestCelendine · 02/01/2024 14:16

Enjoyed day one - nice gentle start and then suddenly 17 active minutes registered and we were done.

Weepingwillows12 · 02/01/2024 14:54

Day 1 done. I can do the bending over from cross legged as it's one of my favourite stretches so do it often. The lunge then straighten front leg was sore though as my hamstrings were tight from a big walk yesterday. Really like that everyone finds different things hard or easy - it's sort of comforting somehow.

Trickedbyadoughnut · 02/01/2024 15:16

Day 1 done - really enjoyed it, I felt like Center started quite fast last year and I've only been doing YWA runners' and bedtime yoga, so I was a bit nervous on that front (I may regret these words tomorrow of course ...).

TooColdForDucks · 02/01/2024 15:26

It’s great hearing from people’s experiences already. Thanks for sharing! I’m doing mine in the evenings so reading these makes me feel more positive as I am stiff and feeling ancient. It’s the incentive I need as I want to go back to a class once I have some fitness back. Can’t wait to get some peace later to get on the mat.

functioningadult · 02/01/2024 15:28

Day 1 completed here too. Was surprised at the gentle start and hope this makes it easier for me to keep going with it

parrotonmyshoulder · 02/01/2024 15:33

Day 1 completed. I liked the length. Started daily practice again a week ago and can already feel a lot of difference in flexibility.

DS (11) is planning on doing it all with me!

Seagrassbasket · 02/01/2024 15:48

Joining in - I’m so pleased I managed to do day 1 on day 1! I started Center last year but only managed a few days but I’m determined to crack it this year.

My only issue is I’ll have to be doing some mornings at 5.30 to fit in before work and I don’t think the video will be landed on YouTube by then? So maybe I’ll have to repeat one day and then run a day behind so I have the video…..

Off to actually sign up so I can have the calendar to print and keep me motivated as I can tick it off!

Buttalapasta · 02/01/2024 15:50

Harder than I thought. I used to be able to step my leg through from downward dog on the left side. Now I can't do either side! Aargh. Really annoyed with myself for giving up on yoga last year. It's back to square one.

narniabusiness · 02/01/2024 17:35

I really enjoyed that. I was happy with the slow start as I’d been rushing around a bit. Lovely to see that namaste is back.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 02/01/2024 18:05

Day 1 done! Felt lovely to have a good stretch. Also, I really noticed how much stronger my body is year on year, thanks to the weight training. Hoping that a regular yoga practice will also improve my flexibility.

So nice to be back on the mat :)

Yogachick · 02/01/2024 18:19

Day 1-Set, done. I’ve been off my mat, have become weak and inflexible so found it quite tough. I enjoyed it though ,there’s some different bits in there, though my heart did sink when she said raise your leg in DD,a move used far far too much imo

i will catch up tomorrow.

TooColdForDucks · 03/01/2024 00:29

As expected, I am so creaky and rusty. Glad I had blocks. I did a yin yoga session afterwards which was great for winding down and stretching out the aches. I did manage pigeon which was a bit of a nice surprise. Going to try to get some practice in before I go to work as it’s a bit too late after everyone has gone to bed. Glad to have this thread so thanks OP!

afaloren · 03/01/2024 01:02

I had to modify some poses as I’m so inflexible (and fat) but it felt good to be back on the mat. In 2019 and 2020 I practiced a lot and could even do crow pose which is now a distant dream. I’ll be interested to return to this practice at the end of the 30 days and see if there’s a difference.

headache · 03/01/2024 02:26

Day 1 done and my hips/thighs feeling it. I’m so old/stiff/sore. Dog was on the mat in under 2 minutes, of the cats was sitting judging me too.

DCINightingale · 03/01/2024 07:15

Good morning! Day 2 done. Almost wobbled over a few times on crescent lunge, graceful I am not! I feel so stiff and creaky, but naively putting that partly down to doing it first thing in the morning... looking forward to hearing how everyone gets on

artforartssakemoneyforgodssake · 03/01/2024 07:23

Also done, also very wobbly on the lunges with the arms circles - I actually did wobble over for one of those. Twists I always find difficult. Hoping daily yoga makes that a bit easier.

ConflictedCheetah · 03/01/2024 07:39

Day 2 done here.

Nicely building on day 2. I can picture my creaky hips and tight calves loosening up in we keep building up like this and repeating certain movements. Felt good to get moving this morning!

LizziesTwin · 03/01/2024 07:46

Having a cup of herbal tea before I start day 2. My hips were tight yesterday but I put that down to having run for 50 minutes earlier in the day.

mynameiscalypso · 03/01/2024 08:45

Managed to sneak in Day 2 before my son woke up. It felt like it built nicely from yesterday although my hamstrings were no less tight!

EBearhug · 03/01/2024 08:59

I'm in. I started doing daily yoga during covid and worked through various online 30 day challenges, not just Adrienne, though did go through most of those. Did over a year daily until getting covid thwarted me, but that's okay - I then did it daily for a couple of years, but did skip the odd day because life got in the way. And then I stopped altogether about 3 months ago (apart from in person weekly class,) and I have noticed the difference so am using this to get back into it.

Sooverthemill · 03/01/2024 10:59

Horrendously early start to the day with poorly DD meant I did day 2 early!
lovely though still hard to still my mind at the beginning. I do feel Adrienne talks to much! I liked the modifications she suggested though pretty much followed it to the letter.
and now my abdominal muscles hurt!

day 6 will be hell I reckon…
