Day 4 done this morning - felt like quite a hard workout with being that much faster. I also had my 6yo watching so that definitely made it less restful. He enjoyed watching Benji though. Then made me do some Cosmic Kids yoga with him, so double yoga for me today Grin.

(Does anyone else find Adrienne's mat confusing? I keep thinking she's on only half a mat because the colour matches the floor. Catches me out every time - I'm obviously not very bright!!)

@Shannith pleased to hear the transitions get easier. The one I always struggle with is down dog to lunge - she seems to so calmly move her leg forward whereas I do a huge lurch and nearly fall over!

Yes lots of us moaned about the mat !!
I am used to it now but it's not very helpful .

The transitions really do get easier - the tip that most helped me was to move your weight forward on your arms as well - it massively helped me as then your not going against your centre of gravity as it were.

Someone else may be a long with a better description but it was a massive light bulb moment for me !

Day 4 done today.
I can't believe I managed much of this at all in January it's hard !!
I have moved into my new yoga zone which is absolutely lovely and I can reach up high -But oh my goodness my poor knees as it's
Hard floor beneath the mat and not carpet !

@Shinyandnew2022 you can double up your mat or add padding.

I've just done day 5 which was yet again perfect and I had no memory of whatsoever. It was good, nice hip openers and pigeon! A favourite

Well done everyone! I agree, the transitions are getting so much easier, on day one I had to pull each foot forward with the opposite hand. Will try shifting the weight forward too as suggested by Shinyandnew2022.

My cold has really set in now so I’ve not done any yoga for days and now behind. Hopefully I can double up a few days and catch up when I’m better.

Sooverthemill - A hedgehog? 🦔 Is it a rescue hedgehog? Both myself and my neighbour would love hedgehogs and we were wondering if there are rehoming schemes. I might start a separate hedgehog appreciation thread.

@DontPickTheFlowers it's an African Pygmy Hedgehog and we got her from a breeder who is a vet nurse. She is so sweet. We tried to get a rescue but we are too far from any of the centres

Day 5 and dare I say day 6 are not so bad but the first week is so hard. It’s a wonder I wasn’t put off the first time.

I realised yesterday that when she says ‘Breathe into your stomach’ she means take your breath deep down into your stomach not direct your breath at your stomach when it comes out of your mouth. Doh.

I've just done day 5 this morning and really enjoyed it. I love a good pigeon stretch.

Had a lovely peaceful half hour with the windows open, birds singing, the sun shining and yoga while the children played downstairs with the grandparents. Since then the sun's gone in, the children are both "bored" and DH is grumpy because they're moaning. Oh well, it couldn't last I guess! Have a lovely day everyone

I sort of managed pigeon to three legged dog too.

@Sooverthemill yes I will find some padding as I realised one knee is actually bruised !

Aww thistle!

We have a giant hedgehog that wanders round the gardens- the first time I saw it I jumped. U swear it was the size of a football!

day 4 did yesterday morning. Not a fan of this one as it starts standing up 😱

I’ve had a very very quick blast through all the threads. I did Day 1 of Move (possibly- there are a lot of videos and I’m not sure I’ve started in the right place). I’m very old and inflexible with a dodgy lower back and knackered shoulder and I found it really hard to the point of shaking in some places. I’m a bit pissed off with myself that I’ve allowed myself to get into such a mess. I’ve never been mega fit or sporty but I’m actually unhealthy and mega weak now. It’s nice to read everyone’s comments about how they are improving and it gives me hope that I will too.

I really want to stick to every day but I work “long days” so I know I’ll find it a huge challenge to motivate myself to come home and start stretching (I usually have 30 mins of tv and cake and then straight to bed)

Day 5 done. I like this one. Doing pigeon almost felt comfortable!

noticed things again about how she shows you to push yourself further. But I can’t do any of the folds she does- especially when she is cross legged and has her head on the floor?!!

@SimpleShootingWeekend don’t be too hard on yourself. Do what you can and there will be changes.
