Who's signed up? I've done these every year since 2016 and I can't wait! Although my health has been poor this year I've managed to practice at home almost every day. I love the kickstart these give my year

Me too - I'm useless at holding myself accountable, so hoping this thread will help! Going to tell as many people as I can about it in real life as well😆

Weepingwillows12 · 01/01/2022 11:07

I watched the intro day 0 video and can't wait now although the first thing my son said was "why is she sitting on her dog?" Grin

Languidleopard · 01/01/2022 13:29

Just listened to day 1 and feeling suitably motivated 😁

Have to admit I'm a little trepidatious about the "written exercises" she refers to. I missed these last year. Anyone got any experience of these from previous years so I know what you expect?

rifling · 01/01/2022 13:31

Just seen that it doesn't upload until 11am which is too late for me - if I don't do it first thing it won't get done! I'll have to be a day behind. Anyone else?

Redcrayons · 01/01/2022 14:15

Day 0 done. had to move the quality street off my knee to do the breathing and hand rubbing Blush
Adriene is so soothing, feeling the love already.

@Languidleopard I think she’s referring to the email Which accompanies the link to the video she sends. It’s always some thoughts on whatever the theme if the day is.

@rifling I’m sure they’re available on the YT channel before that, i used to do them before work. I just checked last year and the emails are coming in at 8am ish.

Medra · 01/01/2022 14:29

I’m signed up. Didn’t do last years as I had Covid, but have done them prior to that. I’m so out of practice though.

SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 01/01/2022 14:38

The daily emails have prompts for self-reflection and journaling inspo, if that’s your kinda thing. They’re not mandatory though, I certainly don’t do them. But if you find it helpful then it’s an additional way to reflect on the practice.

Shallwegoforawalk · 01/01/2022 16:56

Just signed up, excited!

millytint44 · 01/01/2022 17:01

Me too! Done a bit of Adriene's yoga during covid.... I do like her style, she's very 'take what you like and leave the rest' which suits me.

The writing prompt from day 0 is simply:

^The question for you today is,

What do I want to move towards?

A prompt for journal and contemplation.^

For me, in 2022, I want to move towards a slimmer body, a healthier mindset, a sober lifestyle and more romance and love.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 01/01/2022 17:33

I'm in for this! Have done previous years, but in 2021 I never seemed to get started, what with lockdown and home learning etc.

This year I have a bit of quiet time in January as I'm a mature uni student and don't have lectures starting up until the end of the month. I am determined to take this time for myself, I feel so much better when I practice yoga regularly.

My aims are: to live without niggly back and hip pain, to appreciate my body and what it can do.

Lezbehonest · 01/01/2022 17:43

I'm in! I love Adrienne but have never done a consistent 30 days. I've just done a lower back session which was totally glorious. Can't wait to get started on the proper programme!

soberfabulous · 01/01/2022 17:52

Thank you for sharing, have signed up.

I love her dog 🐶

tootyfruitypickle · 01/01/2022 18:08

Am also in. On my third physio for a 2 year leg/hip pain issue and think I'm going to jack it in and just do daily yoga as maintenance to keep the pain down so this is a good start

FanSpamTastic · 01/01/2022 18:18

I have joined - I want to improve my flexibility as everything is starting to creak!

Languidleopard · 01/01/2022 18:50

@Redcrayons @SimonedeBeauvoirscat @millytint44 thanks for clarifying. Makes sense and doesn't sound too onerous 😊

cakeinmyfacehole · 01/01/2022 18:54

@rifling

I am going to do them a day behind. I am often up at stupid o'clock so that should work and means I can crack on early on those days.
Verbena87 · 01/01/2022 19:34

I’m going to do the first ones on the day, then when I’m back to work I’ll need to practice at half 5 so will add a rest day and do them a day late. I think.

ApolloandDaphne · 01/01/2022 20:27

I'm sure last year the videos dropped at 7am not at 11am. I think it was basically at midnight where Adrienne lives. Has it changed this year?

Talisin · 01/01/2022 20:59

Last year the emails came around 6am. This year it looks like it’s 10am UK time as EST is 5 hours behind GMT.

Talisin · 01/01/2022 21:11

I just went back and looked up last years emails and yup, they were uploaded at 12am CST last year. Interestingly the first email (from last year’s 30 days) said:

“Videos will upload on the Yoga With Adriene YouTube channel each day at 12am Central Texas time, y’all.
We have folks practicing in different time zones across the globe! After years of experiment and consideration of time across the divide, we discovered that this the best time for many reasons”

I wonder what changed?

TabithaTittlemouse · 01/01/2022 21:28

I’m following again this year. Some days I have to skip a day and double up the next day due to shift work but I try to keep up.

PalacePaper · 02/01/2022 08:39

I'm doing it this year, I was wondering if there was a thread Smile

My intention is to do this in the evening, as I try to do exercise in the mornings before work anyway and I don't want to substitute one for the other. I've looked at the plan and I think around 30 minutes is the longest, so although I won't manage everyday it should be possible most days. Hopefully following the thread will help me prioritise it as I want to make this time for myself and I know I will feel better for doing it.

PalacePaper · 02/01/2022 08:53

@itssquidstella

Calendar is out! No videos over 30 minutes this year, which is great for me. I wonder whether she just got fed up of recording free content, or whether she had lots of feedback asking for shorter sessions?

I always add her videos on top of my normal exercise regime, so shorter is definitely better for me.

Just caught up on the thread - looks like we've got the same approach @itssquidstella Smile
sweetheartyparty · 02/01/2022 09:00

Can you start a day behind? I've just registered today and was planning to start tomorrow it possible

Redcrayons · 02/01/2022 09:05

The video is released at 10am, bit annoying as I wanted to start the day with it.

Lots of complaints on YT about the change.

@sweetheartyparty absolutely, you can do them whenever. They don’t get removed from YT, all the other years are still there.
