Who's signed up? I've done these every year since 2016 and I can't wait! Although my health has been poor this year I've managed to practice at home almost every day. I love the kickstart these give my year

I liked day 21, the swifter the better!

EmmaStone · 22/01/2022 21:11

Day 20 & 21 back to back today, felt quite good, even the abs work out!! My hips felt really opened after day 20 and I couldn't even tell you what she did to make them open up from beginning to end!

Shinyandnew2022 · 22/01/2022 21:28

Evening all - I haven't posted for a few
Days but I have done all the sessions .
Todays was interesting as I felt really desperate to get to the mat this afternoon after a busy day ferrying kids about and to be honest the abs stuff isn't really my
favourite as it's a definite weakness but I did most of it which must mean progress ..
It didn't quite hit the spot though and so I found a very old sun salutation one and did that too.
I am definitely feeling a healthy
Yoga addiction start .
I am also keen to do keep this up after the 30'days and will happily sheep my way along with the majority.

UnaOfStormhold · 22/01/2022 21:44

Well that was quite intense!

RagzRebooted · 22/01/2022 23:28

Did 20 this evening after giving myself a night off yesterday as back had been painful for a few days. I struggled with this one though, arm was shaking during the side plank and mountain climber type move is always hell for me. Though I did manage to get knee all the way to my elbow on the slow ones, which is progress.

I'm keen to carry on after January, too. Never expected to have got this far and I really do feel good for it.

guinnessguzzler · 23/01/2022 10:03

@Weepingwillows12

Didn't manage to do 18 and 19 like planned but did do 18 and loved it.

I was trying again to do the thread the needle one where from all fours you put one hand across and through so you are twisted on one shoulder. I just don't feel like I get it right as it doesn't do anything except make me feel unbalanced or possibly neck crunchy. How do you guys feel when you do it? Is it meant to be a side stretch?

I don't know what it's meant to do but I find it gives a bit of a side stretch and also something in the shoulder. Before I started doing daily yoga late last year, whenever I had sore shoulders / neck area, mainly due to my home working set up, this was one of the moves I dredged up from my memory of my pre-pandemic weekly face to face classes and it generally helped. I was doing a lot of that, forward folds, banana and washing machine (courtesy of Jaime, Codmic Kids yoga!). In testing it out to answer your question just now I found it didn't have as much impact as I previously found, which I presume is just because everything doesn't feel horrendous in that area anymore, due to daily yoga.

I honestly hope I do yoga every single day of the rest of my life.

Oops, Cosmic Kids Grin

TiddleTaddleTat · 23/01/2022 10:38

I’m really disappointed I haven’t managed to get past day 5 yet!!
All good intentions at the start to carve out time for myself in the morning.
But I was doing other exercise in the day and that plus the yoga every day was too tiring so I resolved to do every other day.
I find I am constantly interrupted if I try at the weekend by children and pets. It’s difficult to find uninterrupted space.
I really enjoyed the yoga that I did do!
But now I’m left feeling guilty so that isn’t a nice feeling.

2fallsfromSSA · 23/01/2022 12:41

I messed up and did 21 as I thought I'd done 20. So will do 20 later. I do a lot of Pilates so enjoyed the ab work. It made me realise how much the Pilates has strengthened my core.

I'm def up for doing this programme again. I'm really enjoying it.

How is 22? I'll do that tomorrow.

2fallsfromSSA · 23/01/2022 12:42

@TiddleTaddleTat ah, please don't feel guilty. It's hard to juggle it all. Focus on what you do achieve and not what you don't! Thanks

namechange5575 · 23/01/2022 12:43

Just did Day 21 - they have upped the intensity a bit! She said they would. To be honest I was finding them a bit easy, so I am just about enjoying the challenge now. Definitely appreciate them being short.

CorrBlimeyGG · 23/01/2022 12:46

@TiddleTaddleTat Day 5 is five days further than a kazillion people have achieved, so in my book you're winning!

Day 22 has a bit of everything, a really nice flow. Cried through most of it, but that's not a bad thing.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 23/01/2022 13:00

Just did day 22. I'd been wondering when warrior 3 would make an appearance! My standing leg always really hurts, but I managed to hold it for the longest time today (only one fall!).

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 23/01/2022 13:03

I just did 21 and 22 together to catch up. More fool me!!Loved them both though.

Weird question-does everyone see subtitles on this series?
Either I have unknowing changed some laptop setting or she has added them?

The thing is I find them very annoying because they sometime cover part of what she is doing.

Do you all see them?

CeeCeeDeeBee · 23/01/2022 13:22

No subtitles for me. Should be an easy fix in your settings?

angerelle · 23/01/2022 13:50

You can click them off, there are some icons in the top right of the video if you touch it, here it says CC, but I think I have seen the icon look like a little card with lines on too?

I didn’t get past day 4 last year! So you’re definitely winning. I gave myself permission to even do it in halves so at least I start/ show up. It seems to be working.

Day 20 done.
I can’t get the thread the needle thing. I just feel awkward. But liked most of it.

tootyfruitypickle · 23/01/2022 15:15

Day 22 and warrior 2 was finally not agony for me!

Think I will go around again with this series too, it's really good

EmmaStone · 23/01/2022 15:43

Day 22 done, liked it, and felt quite strong in the planks 😀. Love Warrior 3 ❤️

parrotonmyshoulder · 23/01/2022 15:44

I enjoyed Day 19 just now. Very short but varied. A good one to repeat when I can’t fit in a longer one.

Shinyandnew2022 · 23/01/2022 18:48

Tested positive today on the last day of daily testing since DHs positive - so depressing!
Anyhow I managed Day 22 And really loved it I feel so much stronger in plank and down dog and am getting better at all the warriors.
Hope Covid doesn't stop my daily habit

Lightningrain · 23/01/2022 19:03

I missed yesterday’s so did two back to back today. The abs one was definitely challenging (although I managed it all) but I was hopeless at warrior 3!

Sooverthemill · 23/01/2022 19:43

I love thread the needle. I find it gives a great stretch on the side that is holding me up as I put my hand on the small of my back. You may need to adjust a bit

I do yoga almost every single day. Have done since 2015. It's made a big difference to my joint health and my posture and my confidence

I enjoyed the slightly faster pace of day 22 - it was nice to get straight into it for a change!
