Who's signed up? I've done these every year since 2016 and I can't wait! Although my health has been poor this year I've managed to practice at home almost every day. I love the kickstart these give my year

I did day 18 at lunchtime. It was a good pretzel-y one, which I needed!

namechange5575 · 19/01/2022 18:42

I somehow got out of synch! Checked in this morning and there wasn't one waiting for (I do them first thing from previous days release). It was quite confusing! I went back and realised I'd missed out day 13 Flight, so did that - really feeling it round my ankles and calves. But all in all I know I'm much stronger, and really enjoying the challenge and routine of it.

Shinyandnew2022 · 19/01/2022 19:21

Day 18 done here too I also loved the
Pigeon and twists .
It went super fast even though it was longer.

BalancingStick · 19/01/2022 20:42

Day 18 all done. Been a stressful day and I've got a few big things to get through tomorrow so wasn't able to come to the mat in the right frame of mind. Couldn't get out of my own head and subsequently found it very stop/ start. I'm planning on circling back and doing the 30 days again so it will be interesting to see how I find this one on a better day. I'm pleased I got it done today though.

itssquidstella · 19/01/2022 20:50

I haven't done day 18. I think I'll be a day behind until the weekend now, annoyingly.

RagzRebooted · 19/01/2022 22:31

Done and enjoyed day 18. Left hip joint was making a horrible clunking noise when I extended it lying on my back.

freddiethegreat · 19/01/2022 22:52

Did Day 18, but very distracted by my dog, who is definitely not Benji & decided he wanted to join in. At one point she said ‘Three more breaths here ... 3 ...’ & then started jabbering philosophy & I shouted at the screen!

EmmaStone · 19/01/2022 22:57

A lovely day 16 & 17 back to back before bed. Night all!

CeibaTree · 19/01/2022 23:15

My heart sank when I saw day 18 was 30 mins long, but it went by so quickly, I loved all the twists and stretches :)

parrotonmyshoulder · 20/01/2022 07:12

I’m a few days behind now as only managed to fit in my morning neck and shoulder yoga (10 mins) for a couple do days. Won’t manage today either. I think that means I’ll have the longer day 18 on Sunday, so probably works out well. Unless they all get long from now on.

Jumbojem · 20/01/2022 07:30

I'm still here, i can't believe it, this is at least my third year of trying and I'm usually way behind by now and so give up.
Enjoyed Day 18, needed that. Day 17 was spoiled for me as I was short of time to couldn't relax like we were supposed to, and family kept coming in and out and talking to me as we were about to go out.

guinnessguzzler · 20/01/2022 07:45

Well done @Jumbojem and to all of us sticking with it one way or another. It's weekends I find it harder to fit in around the kids whereas in the week as I work from home I can generally squeeze it in at some point. Looking forward to it today.

UnaOfStormhold · 20/01/2022 07:47

Really enjoyed day 18, lots of nice stretches (and pigeon!) and it's good to be reminded to pay proper attention to how it feels.

BogRollBOGOF · 20/01/2022 07:51

I've gone a bit out of order over last weekend. I was trying to restore my morning practice but I've got an injury and need to be careful about warming up for the day. While down dog is a good stretch, launching in too quickly before my body's ready could be an issue.

I've got a couple of days including day 13 to catch up on. I doubled up with Snuggle one evening.

It's also flipping cold and draughty on the lounge floor which is off putting. Putting the heated throw on the carpet is surprisingly effective.

Sooverthemill · 20/01/2022 08:49

Loved day 18. Like others I thought omg 30 minutes but it flew by. My cat tried to sabotage but it's surprisingly easy to rub her ears and do downward dog now ( thanks Adrienne!). I love pigeon and all the twisty stretches it really feels great. My DD has EDS and I sometimes wonder if I might have a really mild version too as often it feels like bits aren't in the right place but yoga sorts it out. Well done all who are sticking to it even if you're a bit behind.

Day 19 done, it actually felt longer than yesterday's session even though it is 10 mins shorter. I think it's because my hips are sore (in a good way!) from yesterday, so I felt every move today more :)

cungryhow · 20/01/2022 13:26

Received my YWA top today, ordered on Sunday, received today and wearing it right now. I can’t fall off the wagon now!

hoorayandupsherises · 20/01/2022 14:28

I have EDS @Sooverthemill and things have been clunking back into place over the course of this "journey", it's been brilliant! I attend sivananda classes once or twice a week, but never got that. I think with these videos, it's the variation and the doing it every day that has made a difference. For example, I often do a forward fold or ragdoll to try to help my upper back release (I have a big scoliosis curve between my shoulders) and it's never really worked, but every time I do one following Adriene's videos, something clunks and it's such a relief.

Went skiing yesterday with DH and was cream-cracked but stuck with it and did Day 16 before bed. It was a struggle, but I think it's staved off the stiffness this morning. Snuggling tonight sounds good though and I expect I'll be glad of a longer one tomorrow after a day of "teambuilding" at work ...

Once again - maybe I'll catch up a day at the weekend, but I've said that every weekend so far and haven't. Not going to beat myself up about it, I'm amazed I've managed to keep on track despite starting late.

tootyfruitypickle · 20/01/2022 15:13

I really enjoyed day 18 and hadn't realised it was so long, but I was sore this morning. Day 19 seems to have sorted that out though. The woman's a genius !

cungryhow · 20/01/2022 16:51

Loved day 19 , almost enjoyed myself in pyramid which is not normally a favourite!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 20/01/2022 17:01

Did 18&19 together today-

did laugh out loud at the bit where arms out and fingers curled down-thought of the t-rex thread Grin

and I am feeling a bit sore-which is sooooo satisfying

Lightningrain · 20/01/2022 19:59

I did day 19 today. It felt like a hard workout even though it was the shortest.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 20/01/2022 20:46

I did bootcamp this morning so needed a good stretch this evening, and day 19 delivered.

RagzRebooted · 20/01/2022 21:33

Today definitely felt longer than yesterday. Wierd.
My back seems to be flaring up again (mid thoracic pain, physio can't work out the cause). It's worse with rest, or leaning back and yoga makes it feel great at the time but seems to be making it worse when I'm resting. Which doesn't make sense. Back to the physio next month!

I'm not stopping yoga. I've never got past day 4 before, I just can't be bothered and then forget I'm even meant to be doing it! Amazed at myself for still being here. Thank you all.

itssquidstella · 20/01/2022 22:12

I managed to fit 18 and 19 in this evening after my spin class (DH is watching the second Matrix film and I had no desire to join him!), so I’m back on track. I really enjoyed day 18 but wasn't so keen on day 19; that might have been because I was quite tired by that point and not in the mood any more, though.
