Who's signed up? I've done these every year since 2016 and I can't wait! Although my health has been poor this year I've managed to practice at home almost every day. I love the kickstart these give my year

Just did say 12. I didn’t understand some of the poses so just guessed! I’ll do day 13 tomorrow. Think I prefer morning practice.

Languidleopard · 15/01/2022 13:36

I had to practice early in the morning yesterday so treated myself to her 15 minutes sunrise session instead. I love this practice and return to it often; doing it yesterday made me realise how hard these 30 day sessions have been in comparison!

I did day 13 this morning. As others have said, very fast paced with lots of content squeezed into 20 mins. I am getting better at some of the balancing poses but crow still defeats me 🙁

Aiming to squeeze day 14 in this eve so I'm all caught up.

Rummikub · 15/01/2022 13:39

Could you link to the sunrise session please? I could do with fitting on a session before work. I’ve just been missing it and doing it before bed.

plus3 · 15/01/2022 14:31

Day 12 & found it harder than I expected. My arms were not very straight, and crow didn’t even remotely happen. Lots more practise required for that one.
Like the sound of the sunrise session, and I will probably start Move again from the beginning after the 30 days to see if I have improved.

Languidleopard · 15/01/2022 16:57

Fingers crossed the link works @Rummikub. It's perfect for just before work imo.

EmmaStone · 15/01/2022 17:32

Just done day 12&13 back to back (I don't seem to be getting the notion of yoga every day, and instead seem to be doing 2 in one day every other day! Grin). I saw my PT yesterday for the first time in at least a month, so am feeling a bit stiff and creaky. Also walked this morning with a friend. Did not enjoy the half splits/half moons - my legs were aching! Crow was very challenging - I really didn't trust my arms to hold me (so a reminder I need to do my physio for my suspected torn rotator cuff muscle...). Downward dog actually felt like a rest position for the first time today!

For those with lower back pain, I can be susceptible to this in yoga too, so I have to be REALLY conscious of engaging my core, and pulling my belly button towards the small of my back, especially when transitioning from plank to downward dog. I also build in some extra time in pigeon pose at the end of a session, and today I popped a physio ball under my right bum cheek, to try and get to the deep piriformis muscle which seems to be linked to my back pain (as advised by osteopath).

cungryhow · 15/01/2022 18:54

That’s really inter about the lower back pain @EmmaStone. The plank to downward dog transition is exactly where I feel weakness so I will try and engage my core more and not just hope for the best!

EmmaStone · 15/01/2022 18:56

@cungryhow often I just can't do it, and put my knees down, it's really hard on the back.

itssquidstella · 15/01/2022 19:10

Day 14 was short but sweet!

clary · 15/01/2022 20:07

Also playing catch up - day 12 was great this am, then day 13 just now was tough! I really cannot do Crow, tho I am getting better, so hey.

If you get a short practice with Adriene it us often challenging. In contrast her 45 min ones seem to fly by (haha no pun intended )

becca3210 · 15/01/2022 20:30

Day 14 easier - short and sweet

Shinyandnew2022 · 15/01/2022 21:20

Done day 14 ! I really enjoyed this one - it flew by . Am encouraged by how much stronger I feel in plank and the transition from DD to lunge is definitely improving on my right side at least.

guinnessguzzler · 15/01/2022 21:37

Ooh, great, I've not had a chance all day so just about to do Day 14 now after a lengthy bedtime! Glad to hear it is short and sweet.

Rummikub · 15/01/2022 23:44

@Languidleopard

Thank you for that! Now I have no excuse to skip!

I find myself randomly doing mountain pose or warrior pose throughout the day. Have also found that I can sit cross legged again yay!

CeeCeeDeeBee · 16/01/2022 08:07

I didn't manage yesterday as had a killer migraine so will do days 14 and 15 today.

SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 16/01/2022 10:09

Day 15! We’re halfway there! 🎉 congrats everyone who’s made it this far.

TiddleTaddleTat · 16/01/2022 11:43

I’m limping away behind . Can’t do them every day as I have lingering post viral fatigue that I need to manage around other activity, work etc.
But I re-did day 5 today. Still my favourite so far.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 16/01/2022 12:39

Day fifteen done! Very nice too.

For those of you doing it in pjs-are you in the US?

Or am I wrong in thinking it's not out until 10am in the UK?
to be fair I only get dressed to walk the dog so not judging

freddiethegreat · 16/01/2022 14:07

Hah! Little bit behind, so did Day 13 this morning and I actually got my heels to the ground in DD. Otherwise, it was quite tough, but struggled through, moved into DD and there they were! 👏 myself!

Rummikub · 16/01/2022 14:50

I’m a day behind so have it there when I wake up.
SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 16/01/2022 15:21

Day 15 done, love knocking on heavens door!

@Sooverthemill thanks for the link - I have a vague recollection of trying the Foundations video when I was first grappling with Crow pose and not making any headway at all. I suspect it’s the upper body strength thing. I’ve never heard of Kassandra - is she worth a look? Adriene has more than enough variety to keep me going, mind …

guinnessguzzler · 16/01/2022 15:36

Day 15 - Reset. I thought it was a nice one and felt good to focus on reset at the halfway point of the programme.

Re: pyjamas, I haven't done many of these in pjs for precisely the reason outlined. Got up this morning raring to go with it and then remembered I would need to wait until 10am so have only just done it now!

SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 16/01/2022 15:45

I wear leggings, a Bravissimo yoga bra and a T-shirt btw, in answer to the question about clothes. I usually tuck my T-shirt into my leggings to stop it from falling into my face in downward dog.

Rummikub · 16/01/2022 15:53

Looking forward to day 15.
Day 14 was nice and short but I really can’t do the transition into lunge. I drag my leg forward!

parrotonmyshoulder · 16/01/2022 16:38

I just did day 13 and really enjoyed it. Probably because I haven’t just done a day at work though!
