Who's signed up? I've done these every year since 2016 and I can't wait! Although my health has been poor this year I've managed to practice at home almost every day. I love the kickstart these give my year

@SimonedeBeauvoirscat

I suspect those who are short of arm or large of nork may find things like DD to lunge or lunge to plank harder … anyone wanna confirm / deny?!
I’m long of arm but the boobs are definitely an issue.
Shinyandnew2022 · 04/01/2022 18:53

@cungryhow

Enjoyed today although my arse was shouting at me in the bridges at the beginning 😊.
Love this expression! I am sure Adriene would put a more delicate / positive spin on it
BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/01/2022 18:54

I'm just about to go and do Day 3. I'm a newbie to yoga but the power/strength needed is fine as I'm used to Pilates. I love the dog, Benji!
As a PP has said, large bust gets in the way a bit...

SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 04/01/2022 18:56

I am short of arm AND large of nork so I’ve always blamed that for my inability to go from DD to lunge … Grin

SuddenArborealStop · 04/01/2022 19:08

I am large of nork and have to push them to the side with my knee in a lunge Grin

rifling · 04/01/2022 19:13

I don't have that excuse and I still can't do it!
@EmmaH2022
I’m a complete beginner as of two days ago. But I don’t think this 30-day course is particularly aimed at complete beginners. I’m just doing what I can and pausing on the bits I can’t.
Blimey, I'm impressed!

I'm not a beginner but I wanted a gentle thing as I've gained so much weight.

Catching up with the thread, I said I felt pressure in the wrists on day 1 and now it seems like some of you actually have aches the next day?

I'd be careful, I didn't actually have any issues the next day but came out of the pose or altered as soon as I thought it was too much for my wrists.

It's not really suiting me. I might have to actually pay for some streaming workouts I know I like better.

I had aspirations of feeling peaceful after but I don't.

AHobbyaweek · 04/01/2022 19:24

I have just finished day 3 but also did mummy and me yoga today (baby is 14 weeks) feeling very stretched!
I need to stay motivated to do all of the days as I have a tendency to do the first week and give up of all sorts of these things.
Love yoga though and miss it at work once a week.
Loving it so far.

Gufo · 04/01/2022 19:32

I have really long arms and legs and think that's why I can't do dog to lunge - too gangly! I got really close to doing it a few months ago, but then stopped yoga classes for various reasons 😅

nobodysdaughter · 04/01/2022 20:01

I think they're released each day in the morning in America which is eight hours behind us? Otherwise for them it'd be the day before if you catch my drift!

NoMoreTractors · 04/01/2022 20:32

I'm abit late to the party after a hectic new year but looking forward to starting day 1 tommorow when DS goes back to school.

Redcrayons · 04/01/2022 20:44

Day 3 done. Side plank was very wobbly, to say the least.

Loved it though, my back and shoulders feel much less creaky than usual.

parrotonmyshoulder · 04/01/2022 20:50

I liked day 3 and had really had to force myself to do it as the day and evening were really busy. I didn’t feel I had time. But I made time for it and feel a lot more relaxed.
To a poster above, the 30 days programmes aren’t just for beginners at all. Lots of us do them every year - for me it kickstarts the habit again. I usually then choose previous 30 days for the next few months.

PalacePaper · 04/01/2022 21:12

Day 3 done. Back to work today so as Adriene says, the hardest part was showing up and it was tempting to stay on the sofa but I'm really glad I didn't. Knowing they are all under 30 minutes has really helped me feel I can commit to this, surely I can find half an hour every evening!

I'm enjoying the fact it's a little bit more intense than previous years and there is less stillness, as I do get fidgety. Really loving it so far Smile

Octopuscrazy · 04/01/2022 21:27

I need a buddy to remain accountable. Is anyone planning to start tomorrow?

RagzReturnedUnwrapped · 04/01/2022 21:36

Day 3 done. Found this the easiest so far, I didn't expect to manage a side plank, but found I was doing it (probably not elegantly!) before I realised what was going on. Also managed to bring my leg almost all the way from plank to lunge, so I must have adjusted my technique without thinking about it as I couldn't do that yesterday. I have large boobs, but also long arms (and legs). I can yet my heels to the floor in DD easily, but that's the hypermobility. I really have to stop myself locking my knees back in some poses as for me my joints only feel stable locked, but I need to strengthen the muscles around them which I can't do with them locked (tighten the guy ropes, as a physio said to me recently!).

I can't breathe in child pose, I have decided. Too much belly and boobs in the way for any lung expansion to happen.

dairyfarmerswife · 04/01/2022 21:52

Done! Late in the day today for various reasons and I nearly jibbed out. I usually do it using the smart TV and dh was watching something. I was just contemplating using the laptop in the other room when he fell asleep so I seized my chance.

It did feel easier today, I too could manage the side planks and downward dog is getting easier.

BalancingStick · 04/01/2022 21:56

Day 3 done. I'm loving this course. I used to do a lot of yoga but have done zero exercise in 2 years (lockdown, covid, home schooling has all been hard). This is a perfect reintroduction for me. I'm also going to do the whole thing again once the 30 days are up

Jumbojem · 04/01/2022 22:09

Day 3 done here too, also found out my work colleague is doing it too and unlike me she managed the full 30 days last year. So, extra reason to be accountable now!
I followed the advice of someone on here and moved my weight forward when going from DD to lunge and def found it easier. Not quite there but better, I have boobs and do have to arch my back a bit to make it work. Not very elegant!
I love warrior poses so was super pleased to have those. OH missed all the lunges and side planks and came in the room when I was doing childs pose so he thinks I'm just lying on the floor for half an hour a dayHmm I'm trying to get him to do some to help with his running injury but no luck so far!

CeibaTree · 05/01/2022 00:01

Just managed to squeeze in Day 3 before bed. I really enjoyed this session and the 24 minutes flew by. I didn't attempt the side plank though, but found the knees down version was a good enough stretch in itself.

Talisin · 05/01/2022 00:23

Day 4 done. I managed the sideplanks as they were thankfully short and didn’t have to modify anything or stop. However I think it did something to my lower back as it twinged badly when I went into the last childs pose and again when I got up after the session. Hopefully a good nights sleep will put me right.

SpinningCat2 · 05/01/2022 07:22

Joining the party, did day 3 before bed yesterday. I'm not a morning person so that suits me better.
Side plank very wobbly Grin

UnaOfStormhold · 05/01/2022 07:41

I did day 3 after a tough 10k run yesterday, definitely aching today but not sure whether to blame the yoga or the running for my tight legs. Arms are definitely yoga though! But good to feel I'm on the road to getting stronger, and enjoying the series so far.

nobodysdaughter · 05/01/2022 08:49

@RagzReturnedUnwrapped I can't either - try an extended child with your knees spread and arms outstretched to the floor instead like I do
