Who is going to do Adriene’s 30 day programme January 2021?

I’ve done the last few years and try to do a video most days throughout the year. I like the structure of the 30 days. I think my favourite was Home as the length (short) of the videos suited what I had time for. Looking forward to seeing what’s to come.

Well, I've just given up halfway through day 3. I can't keep up with the flows unless I can keep glancing at the tv or have it on really loud which I hate but she speaks so softly. Might have to try it on my phone tomorrow then I can move it around and wear earphones. Lack of space is a problem with everyone at home so much now too.

I came back for day 4, but won't be stopping.
I have just had 8 hours sleep and don't want to waste 15 minutes at the start of a yoga practice in shavasana.

I gave up half way though and finished the practice on my own with some rounds of sun salutations and warrior.
I hope those who are sticking with it enjoy the course.

I've also just done day 4 - I will be keeping going.

I really tried to concentrate on where all the bits of my body were and what happened when I breathed so wasn't just lying there. I'll be running later (training to go from my current 5K to 10K) so am not considering this exercise as much as awareness training. No planks today!

Day 4 done this morning before work, nice and easy. I don't think the long slow starts will continue for much longer, I feel as though this happens each year, and then they soon ramp up (remember Day 6 is always 6 pack abs!).

I did my normal yoga class last night, and definitely felt a bit looser than normal (but that also may be because I'd also done a full class on NYD, so was only a few days between classes rather than a full week). My back doesn't particularly like me doing all this yoga, but it usually improves once warmed up a bit, and I always add on some back specific stretches to my practices. My hammies are VERY tight at the moment (I think from doing quite a bit of spinning), so hoping they'll loosen a bit over this month too.

I have to say that these flows are NOT fast for Adrienne-flows! But I just kind of wing them, and her Foundations of Flow video may help.
Did day 3 this morning while DD was having breakfast/DH was getting DS dressed.

I enjoyed Day 4, although I was listening to the sound of emails pinging into my inbox more than to my own breath so I'm not sure Adriene would approve!

Yesterday wasn't great, a really busy work day then home by about 5.30 but needed to sort dinner, chat to DCs. Then a busy evening plus the news to digest and everyone underfoot meant I didn't get started till close to bedtime, didn't bother getting my mat out but my knees hurt on the carpet, DS was loitering, I couldn't see the TV properly. Hopefully I'll do better this evening, but it's hard to see how best to fit it in on work days.

I tend to put my phone on Do Not Disturb and then forget to turn it off and miss calls later!

Essentially we have one younger DC who goes to bed quite early so I sometimes do the video after she goes to bed while DH is still chasing DS around. Not restful though!

@EssentiallyDelighted I find doing it first thing in the morning best for me. Before the days starts, especially as I'm now not only WFH but also have home-learning to keep an eye on - trying to carve out even half an hour once the day has started is hard.

@EssentiallyDelighted I normally run at lunch. Although now I'm going to have to rethink it with the school timetable. Maybe I can organise it so that I get a bicycle escort Grin

I still work on site most of the time so running at lunch isn't feasible either. I really like being out first thing, it sets the day up really well for me. I will be wfh part of the time from now so those days will be more flexible as no travel time, it's the onsite days that are the main problem.

I did day 4 first thing again (only about 5,000 people had viewed it by the time I finished). Definitely a great way to start the day.

Just finished Day 4, really need to get in gear to do it first thing as it becomes harder and harder to step away from the computer as the day wears on. But enjoyed it.

I have another yoga class this evening via Zoom; think it might be a little less chilled than Adriene's though!

Well, I did day 4 half an hour after getting home from work today and it was much better. Quick chat with DCs about all the school stuff (they are teens), changed and onto the mat. I decided to use my phone and earphones today instead of the telly and it was much better, I could move the phone to see it and wasn't as aware of all the background noise around the house. Still noticed a cobweb on the ceiling though!

I’m out I’m afraid. I’ve done yoga every day this month and will hopefully continue to do so, but I’m just doing random Adriene ones I fancy that last 20 minutes.
