Who is going to do Adriene’s 30 day programme January 2021?

I’ve done the last few years and try to do a video most days throughout the year. I like the structure of the 30 days. I think my favourite was Home as the length (short) of the videos suited what I had time for. Looking forward to seeing what’s to come.

I have just done day 19. I was a bit worried before but I loved it. I could do everything which made me feel very good.

Sooverthemill · 20/01/2021 11:21

So I've done day 19 virtually in my sleep and so glad I did. Had the night from hell with DD and again had to do it during first part of DHs WFH zoom team meeting! But I'm glad I did it I didn't want to miss it. The first part was hard but as I warmed up and woke up it was glorious. I do love this series

drspouse · 20/01/2021 12:20

Did day 17 this morning, I was up before everyone else which helped!

Londt · 20/01/2021 13:17

How this woman has managed to get me into a crow I’ll never understand Grin I’ve always had problems with a torn rotator cuff and shoulder impingement on one side and a broken wrist that never healed on the other yet I managed to get into it for a couple of seconds before wobbling out.

Has anyone here followed an entire year’s worth of her programmes?

(I know I’m getting ahead of myself after just a couple of weeks but a girl can dream Grin)

Sooverthemill · 20/01/2021 15:41

@londt yes I have. Since November 2015 I've rarely missed a day. Sometimes I do just hung in a 5 minutes video from YWA but I usually follow either the calendar or repeat a 30 days special. I really need my yoga time it's the only thing I do for myself

Londt · 20/01/2021 15:57

Wow @Sooverthemill that’s very impressive. I’m going to at least try and get to Easter, may as well as there’s not much else to do in lockdown.

May I ask, do the programmes get repetitive? And have you not gotten to the point where it’s no longer a challenge anymore? Thank you x

parrotonmyshoulder · 20/01/2021 16:49

I enjoyed day 19. Felt able to do it all.

I enjoyed day 19 too, @parrotonmyshoulder. I felt like the external rotation of my knees in goddess pose was easier than it has been previously. Nice to feel I'm making progress!

Onthebrink67 · 20/01/2021 17:24

I enjoyed D19 but found the goddess pose quite tough- legs were definitely shaking by the end.

Magnificentbeast · 20/01/2021 17:51

I enjoyed D19. Nothing too difficult but just have my own body shape spin on thingsSmile
I did feel my centre muscles after yesterday's focus on the centre so that seems to have worked!

Really happy to have made it to D19. Whenever I decide to commit to an activity program something scuppers it. Fingers crossed I'll manage the whole program and keep up with some regular yoga afterwards.

Hollybutnoivy · 20/01/2021 20:15

Feeling a bit guilty that I skipped today....

AthelstaneTheUnready · 20/01/2021 20:21

I was dreading this after the intro Shock but actually it was nearly manageable. Couldn't do all the arm-press-ups (lost a lot of strength with a frozen shoulder last year), but apart from wobbling on the raised feet for goddess it wasn't as bad as I thought!

LillithTheLynx · 20/01/2021 20:22

Feeling a bit guilty that I skipped today....
You've still got time! It's a pretty short one too, only 15 or so minutes of active work, so easy to double up another day. Smile
Hollybutnoivy · 20/01/2021 20:32

Ha! I am already in bed! No chance - might try 2 tomorrow.

Hollybutnoivy · 20/01/2021 20:33

Btw - I'm not in the UK so I am having an early night but not a ridiculously early night. Grin

NotMyDayJob · 20/01/2021 21:31

I really enjoyed today, d19, I like the poses that make me feel strong

parrotonmyshoulder · 20/01/2021 21:48

I felt so good that I did another video before bed - the 20 minute ‘full body flow’ or something. I held tree pose for the first time ever! Only on one leg - left foot just won’t stay there - but it was big progress!

Day 18 done a day late - still can’t come anywhere remotely close to Crow, bleurgh.

ApolloandDaphne · 21/01/2021 09:25

I've just done day 20. It is a short 16 minute mainly breathing one in case anyone doesn't like them and want to do something else!

Sooverthemill · 21/01/2021 09:29

@Talisin it will come.
@Londt no I don't find it repetitive because I mix up the sessions. Each 30 day programme is different and her curate calendars are a lovely mix. Occasionally I hate a video I've started but rarely. I do know Ines I love and if I'm feeling crap often just do a flow one ( I love the Nicaraguan ones) or a day 16. And I do sometimes do yoga with kassandra, the 10 minutes ones which I can add to an Adrienne one but tbh in December I mainly did kassandra as wasn't well

Did day 20. It's not at all active! Breathing. I welcomed the rest tbh

EmmaStone · 21/01/2021 10:04

Day 19 done this morning, a nice mix I thought. Seemed to be able to get lower in chair pose for longer today.

Will do Day 20 and 21 back to back tomorrow.

Londt · 21/01/2021 11:24

Thank you @Sooverthemill I’m looking forward to the next few months then.

Weepingwillows12 · 21/01/2021 19:13

I have got completely left behind as took most of a week off as was feeling under the weather. Did day 14 and 15 in a row today. Wasnt looking forward to it as they were long but I loved it! I also noticed the difference to a few weeks ago in planks/ downward dog so that was good. Going to try and do double until i catch up.

Talisin · 21/01/2021 22:29

I just did days 19 & 20 back-to-back so I’m caught up again. Both nice practises and they complimented each other well - I’m really getting into the breathing element, I feel incredibly calm after that last one, it’s lovely.

I loved her literally dragging Benji onto the mat Grin he was so obviously ‘I’m busy looking out the window here woman’ before reluctantly giving in.

drspouse · 21/01/2021 22:50

Did my Pilates today, will do day 19 tomorrow.
