Very excited when the email came this morning! Is anyone else up for this?

Day three done, I liked this one too. I think it's gently easing us into tougher days ahead. I love that I can see how long each video is especially the days I am working. Most days around 22-30 minutes :)

Sooverthemill · 04/01/2020 12:40

I agree @redpriest last years ( dedicate) I didn't get past day 1 because they were too long and I felt I'd failed. So I redid a previous years instead

KinkyDoritowithsparkleson · 04/01/2020 14:09

Thank you all for the support yesterday! I do struggle but am plodding on. Day 3 done and there were a couple of things I couldn't do but got into the pose as far as I could. I already feel the benefit - I am much more conscious of how I move and sit generally, even after only 3 sessions.

mamapants · 04/01/2020 14:26

Have half done today's with a smallish child climbing on me, will have to finish off later on in the day.

sparrowhouse · 04/01/2020 14:42

I started this too, missed yesterday's so did it after today's one. I found the first one quite hard (I'm a beginner who started a class but wants to do it everyday but can't afford too!), really enjoyed day two and three videos even though I do have to keep looking to see how to do things haha.

gigi556 · 04/01/2020 14:58

Can I join? I'm on Day 3. Have tried to do this the last 2 years and not stuck it out. I might have to do a day behind at some point because at the moment I'm waiting for the video upload in the morning and I'd like the option to get it done earlier.

Titsywoo · 04/01/2020 15:32

Had no time yesterday so did day 2 this morning and will do day 3 later so I'm caught up. Finding it a bit tricky to keep up as with a lot of the downward dog/plank/tabletop positions she shifts about quickly and it's hard to keep looking at the tv to check what is happening!

UnaOfStormhold · 04/01/2020 15:35

I nearly gave day 3 a go this morning while 5yo was in the other room with his dad but you can guarantee he'd be clambering all over me within seconds of starting. So after bedtime it will be!

museumum · 04/01/2020 19:13

Hello. Just found this thread. Day 3 done and I’m already creaky and sore. I hope I get through it. I did this two years ago but was slimmer and doing yoga then. I’ve put on a stone injures my right shoulder and become very stiff since then. Couldn’t catch my left foot behind me with my right arm today (other way ok just).

eatsleepmoverepeat · 04/01/2020 20:44

Still going. Not necessarily doing all of the moves properly and my breathing is ridiculous as I’ve got a cold but I’ve done 3 consecutive days which is further than I managed last year. And the year before. And possibly the year before that Blush

sycamore54321 · 04/01/2020 20:58

And day 3 complete. It felt very athletic and fast-paced, which I really liked but wasn't expecting to jump into it quite so rapidly. I think the rather soporific pace of Dedicate has given me a false impression - I love this new more jaunty one. Although I imagine it would be much harder for someone unfamiliar with the terminology to keep pace with as there isn't a lot of explaining time.

A word of caution if anyone is doing it in a slightly confined space like me - there's one section with a lot of arm flailing so make sure you have cleared enough space around your mat.

Anyway, a big thanks to this thread for keeping me accountable. 10% of the way there already.

Redcrayons · 04/01/2020 21:20

Day 3 done.
As a newbie I'm finding it hard to watch what she's doing and copy. I'm getting a bit more familiar with some of the terms so hopefully it will come.

poorbuthappy · 04/01/2020 21:38

The pace was a lot faster today but I found some of moves slightly easier.
And although I'm in pain it's nice to know I've got stomach muscles under the belly.

daisychain01 · 04/01/2020 22:15

My body objected madly to the leg out and opposite arm out then drawing them in under the chest. I was shaking all over the place then started laughing.

Thank goodness for YouTube and being able to rerun that section! Got there in the end. The rest of Day 3 was less mad! Abs now aching from all those planks

aTeaLeafInOurMidst · 04/01/2020 23:41

I found it was a struggle to get onto the mat for Day 3 - I fell asleep after putting the DCs to be and woke up at 10pm feeling a bit knackered and spaced out! Glad I made the effort to do it despite being half asleep. I'm really loving the pace of this series - it feels as though I'm achieving something with each session.

noodlezoodle · 05/01/2020 00:15

I was a bit grouchy today and wanted to skip it but I'm glad I did it because I was in a much better mood by the end.

I'm also a bit surprised by the pace because she's going along at a fair clip and I definitely don't remember that from last year!

Sooverthemill · 05/01/2020 07:22

What I used to do the first few times I followed a 30 day challenge was to watch the video before I attempted to follow if iyswim, so I would watch it ( usually shuffling through) so I could see what would be coming up. It really helped me feel more confident as watching TV and moving at same time is beyond me. Now I follow Adrienne almost daily I kind of anticipate what she will do next ( she gets in phases which is quite helpful!) so I don't need to so much. I've already had a quick look today although I won't actually do it for a while ( have to wait for DH to get up). I always do it first thing so for me about 8 am and I love it when there are no ads and I feel very pleased with myself for being an early watcher!

KittyMcKitty · 05/01/2020 08:25

Agree with watching the video in advance- I tend to read the email and quickly skim the video when I wake up as part of psyching myself up to get out of bed.

Enjoyed day 4 although I would have liked it to be a couple of minutes longer.

Not looking forward to getting up at 6 tomorrow it’s been lovely having a gentle start to the day over Christmas.

Day 4 done. Yay! Slight harder today as our kitten decided to join in. She likes to make my life more challenging

UnaOfStormhold · 05/01/2020 09:41

I agree I'm a bit surprised by how short some of these are - obviously they're easier to fit in but it would sometimes be nice to have a more leisurely version, particularly when I'm not back at work yet!

TabbyStar · 05/01/2020 09:56

I got a bit bored today and didn't finish it. I guess it's building on each day, but I'm finding it more samey than when I choose other videos she does. I already have a regular yoga practice though so maybe it's not aimed at me.

Frenchfancy · 05/01/2020 10:03

Day 3 done. I'm a day behind but enjoyed it. I like the pace and the length of the videos, but I don't do yoga regularly(a year since I've done any at all) so this series is to help me find a routine.

daisychain01 · 05/01/2020 10:05

For the 22 min days, which I find too short, I dip into another video from her other 30 Days series, and do them back to back. Adriene also does quite a few 15 min sessions so it makes it into about 35 mins in total.

I've got her Hands and Wrists one ready for later, 12 mins and good if you do a lot of computer work!

Redpriestandmozart · 05/01/2020 10:36

Day four done, I like it, yes it was short but I did start to connect again. I'm still trying to deal with the regret of putting on 2 stone, not being nearly as supple and my strength and balance issues so today was just for me. Back to 5.30 am starts in the morning!

museumum · 05/01/2020 11:28

Went for a run today and am shocked at how stiff I felt around the hamstrings and groin.
I’m not a total yoga newbie but it is a couple of years since I practised daily. I’m obviously a lot more out of shape than I realised Blush
