Who's up for a thread to discuss our progress this year? We've had threads following Adriene's 30 days of Yoga for the last few years so sign up now for January.

Based on the last few years I'll warn you now: watch out for day 6!!!!

Day 25 done. I don't know if I am the only one still on true but I'm checking in anyway.

Rollerbird · 03/02/2018 15:32

I am, but still behind as i have been unwell

frenchfancy · 03/02/2018 17:41

Hope you are feeling better Rollerbird it's nice not to be alone. Day 26 done. Stillness. I quite enjoyed it.

Just checking in, taking a break from Adriene and doing Shiva Rea's daily yoga. The vinyasa flow is much faster but a good change. Will come back to YWA in a few days.

Gumpendorf · 04/02/2018 09:52

I'm still around but not v well atm, so I haven't started Feb yoga. Hoping to start with something gentle tomorrow. I'm missing it.

Tangarine · 04/02/2018 10:59

I'm still going as well. Day 4 - energizing yoga flow - today after a run. Feeling good.

frenchfancy · 04/02/2018 18:28

Day 27. Nearly there. For some reason this one hurt my neck.

1000piecepuzzle · 04/02/2018 22:43

I'm on day 2 of revolution. It seems a lot harder than true!

quirkychick · 05/02/2018 10:51

Gumpendorf if you feel up to it Adriene's Yoga for when you are Sick is great, short and gentle, also her Rainy Day sequence and Intro to Yin Yoga (longer but lots of blankets and cushions, very restorative).

Gumpendorf · 05/02/2018 17:27

quirkychick. Thank you. I've just done the first day of the Feb calendar and was tempted to flip to those but I stuck with Day 1 and took it gently. I'm glad I made a start.

I decided to go for Feb rather than Revolution because the former seemed to fit where I was. I'll save Revolution for another month.

Tangarine · 06/02/2018 07:49

Doh!I misread the calendar on Sunday so did the wrong one. So have just done Sunday’s Yoga for Self Discipline. Although it looked long it sped by and I enjoyed it.

frenchfancy · 06/02/2018 15:44

Day28 done. 2 days left. I maybe slow but I'll get there in the end.

AugustRose · 07/02/2018 15:41

Hi everyone, I have taken a slight step back (instead of the intended pick up!) so have only done a couple of the Feb calendar practices. Just finished the Compassion Yoga one, it was quite long at 58 mins but I like to do them now and again if I can fit them in.

frenchfancy that's the great thing about the videos, doing them at your own pace and still feeling you've accomplished something.

Gumpendorf · 07/02/2018 19:49

Well done frenchfancy. 👏

I did Pilates yesterday and decided not to try to cram in yoga too, but take time in feeling better. So, today I did 'yoga for a rainy day' even though it wasn't and loved it. One of my favourites. A good gentle stretch.

Tangarine · 08/02/2018 07:01

How are you today AugustRose? I did the Compassion one yesterday. It didn’t feel at all hard at the time as it was nice and slow, despite being long, but my shoulders are feeling it today (in a good way).

I bought myself a yoga block at the weekend and am busy working out how I can fit in yoga every day for the next week as I’m travelling from tomorrow lunchtime

AugustRose · 08/02/2018 09:34

I'm the same Tangarine I felt OK at the time but I can feel it in my shoulders and the back of my arms today, it is good though because it helps you feel that you are making a difference

Tangarine · 08/02/2018 16:47

Yes AugustRose I am beginning to see and feel a difference in my practice. As I get more flexible I can also push myself further. And I am becoming more mindful.

CountFosco · 09/02/2018 16:56

Frenchfancy I'm behind you on day 23. I just do 3 videos a week (with the very odd extra one at the weekend). It doesn't matter how long it takes, it's nice to do a daily practice if you can to kickstart your home practice but I've been doing Adriene's videos for several years now so I am at peace with being the last to finish on the thread!

Gumpendorf I love the rainy day one too Smile. I've been doing Shiva Rea Vinyasa flow all week and have come back to Adriene's new one Head and Heart. I've got sore shoulders from doing lots of planks/prostration push ups/chaturangas but still managed it fine. I notice she has a shoulder and neck one too, which I might do tomorrow if I'm still a bit sore (in a good way).

1000piecepuzzle · 11/02/2018 20:25

I have skipped over from revolution to the february calendar as it seems to suit me better at the moment for time mood and pace, although I think i'll continue with revolution substituting it into the tuesday true slot. Head and heart today was nice, nothing too tricky but not just lying down breathing either.

quirkychick · 13/02/2018 10:08

Just done the Compassion one, I think I will try to do one longer yoga session per week. When it's not half-term, that may well be on a Sunday. I think my stomach and thighs will feel the effects tomorrow!

Tangarine · 13/02/2018 20:28

I’m still going. Just redone day 2 of True, and heard lots of things I hadn’t noticed/remembered first time round.

CountFosco · 13/02/2018 21:16

Did Day 28 and 29 yesterday (I want a Benji sweatshirt!) then jumped to the self discipline video. Whoa that was a toughy. Revolution starts on Friday here.

quirkychick · 14/02/2018 10:08

I started the Self Discipline one, with a view to doing half today and half tomorrow but ended up doing the whole thing. Quite similar to Compassion: planks, standing poses and balances. I can get one toe off the ground in crow and no longer need a block for my hands in lizard, so my (very stiff) hips are definitely getting more flexible. I think I might need something shorter and gentler tomorrow, though.
