Who's up for a thread to discuss our progress this year? We've had threads following Adriene's 30 days of Yoga for the last few years so sign up now for January.

Based on the last few years I'll warn you now: watch out for day 6!!!!

Another day 26 graduate here too. I’m torn between being glad I can take a night off on Thursday and feeling a bit lost as to what I’m going to do after it finishes. I’d like to revisit revolutions but I know that I’ll find excuses because I don’t have that daily email reminding me.

I’ve definitely seen progress over the month but I do notice I stiffen up after a run and I’m not as flexible as I can be.

frenchfancy · 28/01/2018 08:50

Day 21 done. I start a new job tomorrow so I need to change my routine, but I definitely want to keep doing daily yoga.

quirkychick · 28/01/2018 09:53

Day 25 done. I'm definitely feeling more flexible, although pyramid is quite challenging still. I like that one on the beach, too charlie. I like that most of them have been shorter, as I haven't always got time to do 40+ mins in the mornings.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 28/01/2018 11:59

All caught up! I loved today, it hit the ground running and had a nice pace to it.

Gumpendorf · 28/01/2018 14:14

Adriene is doing a yoga series for February. Most of it will be free and from previous YT videos, but there is a new video each Sunday.
The schedule is here:

I lost my mojo after catching up last week, and need to do 26 and 27 today to catch up. I'm feeling a v low energy but gonna have a go! I really want the satisfaction of having done it and finish it on time. It would be a huge first for me.

Thanks fatrascals. I did the same and did 26 and 27 this afternoon. I'm now up to date again. Grin

Tangarine · 28/01/2018 20:12

I just did day 27. Glad it was a short one Smile

I'm going to try to follow the February timetable Gum posted up there ^

Anyone else? It would be good to have some buddies, it makes me feel more accountable.

GissASquizz · 28/01/2018 20:15

Fallen behind due to illness, but day 16 done. Feeling good!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 28/01/2018 20:25

tangerine
I so agree- this is the best of both worlds for me.

love chatting here-the camaraderie is so supportive and encouraging and am loving doing it on my own due to my very loud groaning and grunting...

Want to stick with the group-is it revolution or the above timetable?

Rankellior · 29/01/2018 08:45

I will look at revolution rather than February as some of the practice times (why long ones midweek?) won’t work on the days I’m working.

Tangarine · 29/01/2018 13:47

I guess it doesn’t really matter which one we are doing as long as we are doing something Smile. The chat and encouragement is the most important part for me.

quirkychick · 29/01/2018 14:29

Done Day 26. I don't usually like the still ones but I quite enjoyed this, I must have needed some calm this morning. They seem a lot shorter this time, which I prefer, 40+ mins can be tricky to fit in on some days.

Happy to keep going into Feb, I usually do some yoga each morning, though I'll probably just pick and choose the ones I fancy and swap in a few Shiva Rea (vinyasa flow), or sun salutations, depending what I feel like.

rjp3141 · 29/01/2018 17:14

Been following this chat...I'm 53 and the only time I've done Yoga before this was a few years ago and the teacher told me off for not being flexible enough in front of the whole class! It put me right off. However, this has just been the best, we're having difficult times at home at the moment with teenage dd and I honestly think that if I wasn't doing this most days, I'd be a tightened spring ready to blow. I'm still not flexible but I do what I can and it helps me relax and deal with the rest of the day/evening. Not sure I'd call myself a yoga convert but whatever it is Adriene is making me do, I'm better for it!

AugustRose · 29/01/2018 17:28

rjp3141 I wouldn't be doing yoga either if it wasn't for Adriene, I find her style (and the fact that nobody can see me) very relaxing. I started with her 30 days yoga from a few years ago and found her voice really soothing, after a few days I was hooked.

Managed 25 and 26 today so nearly caught up, I've really been enjoying these last ones and am quite sad we are near the end. I think I might combine the February calendar with some increased aerobic exercise as it's time to kick up a sweat now.

Tsuipenongin · 29/01/2018 18:13

I’ve caught up today. I’ve really enjoyed doing it and am planning on following the February calendar too.

coffeecow · 30/01/2018 00:07

Just checking in. I doubled up today so that I was back up to date. I've been really enjoying it but some days (like totally) I struggle to get mentally into it and concentrate on my breathing. I think it will be nice to go into doing a practise every other day after January.

quirkychick · 30/01/2018 07:11

rjp3141 that sounds like a pretty rubbish yoga teacher! The teacher should be able to cater for all levels and offer you modifications, it's quite dangerous to force yourself into poses that you can't.

Just done Day 27. I often don't feel like it, but it's pretty much habit and know I'll feel worse if I don't. Also, if I don't do yoga in the mornings, I can't really fit it in, I'm far too tired by the evening.

AugustRose · 30/01/2018 12:18

Days 27 and 28 done, both short ones but good - I even managed to hold crow pose for about 3 seconds Smile

MESSING2 · 30/01/2018 12:20

Haven't rtft so sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone else find it tricky to watch the screen while in a pose? I often find myself craning my neck trying to see what's going on.

Kikisdeliveries · 30/01/2018 14:36

Eeps, I'm only on day 17! Found half moon hard going after a run this morning, legs felt very heavy.

So Crow has appeared eh? That is my nemesis pose.

frenchfancy · 30/01/2018 16:26

Day 22 done. I didn't do yoga yesterday - as I expected the new job took it out of me a bit. It's good though.

Tangarine · 30/01/2018 18:13

Well done on your crow August. I was nowhere near. About to do day 29 after a long day at work.

Gumpendorf · 30/01/2018 18:14

Well done on getting Crow AugustRose. I'm impressed. I struggled to stay on my haunches on the floor. Day 28 was short but I found it tough. I do have a cold so that's my excuse.

I'm planning on doing 29 and 30 tomorrow.

I'm inclined towards Revolution in February, but I'm not going to commit to every day and I'll see if my new found discipline still holds.

coffeecow · 30/01/2018 20:33

Day 29 done - one of my favourites I think. Oh god crow is my nemesis pose too - just cannot do it despite years of trying.
