Who's up for a thread to discuss our progress this year? We've had threads following Adriene's 30 days of Yoga for the last few years so sign up now for January.

Based on the last few years I'll warn you now: watch out for day 6!!!!

I loved 29- and am so chuffed to have stuck with this as have never managed to do yoga at home before-and It is making me feel great.

Bit of worrying about various DC this week and did have an unexpected sob on the mat. Surprised myself but a relief really...

gump I am thinking revolution as well....

Blimey great effort on crow - I got nowhere near again but will have to make do with progress made elsewhere.
Day 29 done here too, it’s become habit now to get the mat out although let’s see if the novelty wears off on Thursday. Count me in for revolutions too. I need structure

quirkychick · 31/01/2018 10:15

Day 28 done. I did manage to lift one foot up on crow, so feeling quite pleased, as I haven't done it in ages. AugustRose well done.

Gumpendorf · 31/01/2018 13:09

Day 30 doesn't have a commentary from Adriene. It looks lovely, but hopeless to try and follow if you're a novice.

I still have day 29 to do and might end it there.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 31/01/2018 16:00

gump I did 3 this morning. The yoga was brilliant but I really didn't like it at all without her teaching.

I felt like a toddler whose stabilisers were taken off as I was being pushed down a hill.

I was not ready. I would be in down dog and having to crick my neck and try and see what she was doing. Not for me.
I was easily distracted and it's a shame because the actual yoga was fab.

See you tomorrow in Revolution?

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 31/01/2018 16:01

*30

Day 29 was OK but still too wobbly on the balancing. However, I loved day 30 - the first time I did a day 30 I couldn't concentrate on my own and kept trying to follow her which meant a lot of looking at the screen.

This time I was able to focus completely on my own movements for the full 30 minutes, using only the music as I guide and synced up for the last couple of minutes on the floor Grin I always find the last one quite emotional.

If anyone is doing a thread for February it would be good to keep dipping in, I have enjoyed having others to keep me focused.

frenchfancy · 31/01/2018 17:21

Day 23 done. Whatever I do next I'm going to be a week behind some of you.

GColdtimer · 31/01/2018 17:36

Haven’t been on for ages. Well done everyone. Day 30 sounds fun! Am a bit behind sadly - Day 27. Will try and finish by Sunday. Is there a thread for Feb practice - whatever people are doing!

Just did Day 30.

Perfect 30 minute flow but ruined as she didn't speak. I remembered she does this on her last ones. This just doesn't work for me as I was constantly moving my MacBook to try and keep up with what she was doing. Made me all cross, which probably wasn't the aim 🙄

Tangarine · 31/01/2018 19:41

I was really tired tonight - slept badly last night and ended up getting up at 5.30 and doing Adriene's ten minute yoga for self care to set me up for the day as I knew it was going to be another long and difficult one. I just did my own thing for day 30. I was surprised how quickly it went, and how one pose seemed to naturally lead to another.

I'm going to start the February timetable tomorrow. Feb will be challenging as I have quite a lot of travel coming up but I will do my best.

Rankellior · 31/01/2018 20:20

Day 30 done - definitely weird having no commentary so needed strategic placement of the iPad and using the mirror behind me in downward dog (complete with unflattering view of my behind)
I really enjoyed it by the end, felt a great sense of accomplishment. I definitely have to keep it going, if not daily then 4-5 times a week.

coffeecow · 31/01/2018 20:21

I didn't realise we were supposed to be following her on Day 30. I was just doing my own thing but getting bored because I had no clue what pose to do next. Did feel very flowy when I had to think for myself! I'm so proud of myself for doing the whole 30 days though.

charliedontsurf · 31/01/2018 20:29

Day 30 done - just left feeling irritated as I couldn't follow without her talking and I couldn't see her to keep up without my glasses on! Feel a bit like I've failed now as I've managed to do every day so far and all the poses apart from crow and the crazy 1 leg fold hop thing on day 29! I did end up doing my own thing but my inner voice kept telling me I should be copying her otherwise it was wrong Grin I did wonder if this whole love yourself inner peace would have hit me by now but clearly I have some way to go.

Definitely going to start revolution tomorrow and then hopefully will follow on for yoga camp to make 90 days of yoga!

charliedontsurf · 31/01/2018 20:37

Oh revolution is 31 days! Just watched the induction video. Can't wait to start tomorrow!

Gumpendorf · 01/02/2018 07:31

mumsie. I like the idea of going with my own flow so I'll revisit 30 when I have got rid of this blasted cold. I'll see you on Revolution!

Will there be a separate thread for February?

quirkychick · 01/02/2018 10:05

Just done Day 29, surprised myself with the balances. Looking forward to Day 30 coffeecow I think you can choose to follow or do your own thing. I found it tricky the first time but usually dip in and out of what Adriene is doing as I feel like.

frenchfancy · 01/02/2018 16:27

Day 24 done. Still ticking off the days.

Tangarine · 01/02/2018 20:34

I did the Root Chakra (day 1 of the February calendar). I wasn't in the mood for a slow one tonight, but I felt better for it by the end. I will watch those of you doing revolutions and maybe do that one in March.

1000piecepuzzle · 01/02/2018 21:54

Day 29 done and that's it for me with True. I started Day 30 and loved the idea and concept but just couldn't cope without any vocal instructions and not ready to go solo yet! But still feel a huge achievement, never done anything like this before.

I will be starting revolutions tomorrow, I prefer the idea of a structured programme.

Anyone else noticed how Adriene often notices and picks tiny specks of dirt off her yoga mat? It cracks me up. She should see my work out space - covered in toddler biscuit crumbs and god knows what the cat has brought in. I keep telling myself its good for my immune system as I lie face down in it Grin

I think the advantage of the February calendar is the once I've finished true I can just jump in to the right date and I'll be up to date with everyone.

quirkychick · 02/02/2018 07:12

Day 30 done. I cut it a bit short as 20 mins generally works better for me. I can feel how much more flexible I am, which is good.

I'm up for a February thread, too. I will probably do what yoga I feel like on each day, but definitely daily yoga.
