Anyone signed up to these emails starting on NYD? I started yoga at the beginning of the year and have been surprised at how much I enjoy it, did the 30 days of yoga earlier in the year, and am committed to completing Revolution in real time!

Love Adriene, so gentle and kind. Total girl crush!

Just finished Day 2.

Fallonjamie · 02/01/2017 09:59

Day 2 done. I think I could do hours of yoga every day and my heels still wouldn't touch the floor in downward dog!

Hellmouth · 02/01/2017 10:05

Just done Day 2! I thought it was a good progression from day 1, and I'm already starting to get into the mood to try different exercises, which I was hoping would happen :)

Monkeyinshoes · 02/01/2017 10:22

Did day 1 last night once kids were in bed. DH lifted weights and is stiff today, he said he might join me for day 2 Shock

carrie74 · 02/01/2017 10:31

Day 2 done (and my mile run). Still nice and gentle.

Just found this. I love Yoga witb A and will join up for this!

Blacksox · 02/01/2017 10:41

I have just signed up. I am normally super stretchy and flexible but have just found myself creaking and stiff when I was removing the tree decorations!

Think I might need some help..

Wombletor · 02/01/2017 11:34

I've signed up. Not done any yoga for 2 years, really enjoyed yesterday's session, it was so relaxing.

feettothestars · 02/01/2017 11:36

Ugh I'm still sick. I feel irked that I'm going to lag behind. Will watch 2 in bed to compare Grin

Hockneypool · 02/01/2017 11:46

Day 2 done - agree good progression. Feel relaxed but stretched.

quirkychick · 02/01/2017 14:32

I'm not getting the emails, but did Day 2 this morning. I did Yoga Camp last January, too. I've definitely kept up the yoga, but I vary between Yoga with Adriene and more rigorous Shiva Rea DVDs. I've been doing it most days for a year and I can only sometimes (after a very stretchy practice) get my heels down for downward dog fallonjamie.

For those who've had Norovirus, Adriene does a lovely Yin practice, really restorative, with lots of cushions and blankets for when you feel ready.

BaklavaBalaclava · 02/01/2017 14:40

Day 2 done.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 02/01/2017 16:00

Hi fellow MN yogis! Knew there would be a thread on this Smile

I did 30 days in 2015 and Yoga Camp last yr so looking forward to Revolutions. Have done day 1 and 2.

Lovely to be back on the mat as I'd got out of the habit.

DancingTattyBogle · 02/01/2017 17:55

I'm in too! I just discovered Yoga with Adriene this summer and it's been a revelation for me, my go-to after a stressful day and she is so kind and lovely! I was delighted when I saw she was doing this for January as I missed Yoga Camp and 30 Days of Yoga. As other people have said, having done very little over the Christmas period, I was horrified to find how stiff and inflexible I had become when I did today and yesterday's video Blush
Looking forward to having something to focus on and keep me going this month.

ICJump · 02/01/2017 20:03

Just about to start day 2. amd will follow up with some of Katy bowman's restorative excercises.

I'm hoping to get strong and spend more time moving each day

Batbear · 02/01/2017 21:53

Did day 2 with the DCs crawling all over me. So it was less relaxing but still felt good.

Back to work tomorrow so i need to plan when it will happen.

hazelnutlatte · 02/01/2017 22:56

I'm in too! Did day 1 today as I was away until this morning, might do day 2 and 3 together tomorrow to catch up!

rahlikeatiger · 02/01/2017 23:07

Ooh late starter here, just done day 1 - such a good way to ease back into yoga. Thanks OP :)

ICJump · 03/01/2017 05:49

Top tip don't attempt yoga after two coffees and a bowl of cereal!

Will do day two again tomorrow before breakfast :)

Hockneypool · 03/01/2017 08:52

Thanks for the tip ICJump! Just had a mug of tea.
Day 3 done. Wrists are feeling it a bit and so are my very inflexible hips. But have all day to move about and recover. Back feels good and strong.
Now for breakfast and coffee.

Eastpoint · 03/01/2017 09:14

Day 3 completed. I normally do Pilates & then yoga in the school holidays so am not unfit, I think this is harder than last year's January camp (or am I more aware of posture etc?).

CountFosco · 03/01/2017 09:35

Eastpoint I think the more you do the more aware of your posture you are so you get a lot more out of so called beginners yoga because you are really actively performing each pose.

I've done day 3 and the tempo is definitely upping. But since DH is back to work today and the kids and I are back to normal tomorrow that's probably a good thing.

I can't do anything until I've eaten in the morning so I have a quick banana before I do yoga. But generally I like to swim in the morning to get the blood flowing and like to do yoga in the evening when I feel a bit more flexible generally. so from tomorrow I'll be doing my yoga in the evenings during the week. Is this a sign of age that I'm so stiff in the morning? Bah humbug.

Eastpoint · 03/01/2017 09:43

CountFosco I think that definitely applies to Pilates, one of the teachers I know said that the more you do the harder you find/the more you get out of every class. I was getting towards being able to do freestanding handstands in the autumn & then my mind got a bit full & I made the mistake of doing less yoga. I hope that I will do better this year, I've reduced some of my more irritating commitments which should help.

Ulysses · 03/01/2017 09:50

I'm a latecomer and have just done day 1 and already feeling energised. Granted it wasn't particularly difficult but it was lovely tuning into myself. I haven't done yoga in years so am hoping this will kickstart it off again. I'm off work for another week and I think I will struggle to fit it in then but for now it will suit me to do it first thing in the morning.

quirkychick · 03/01/2017 15:09

Yup, I think it has got tougher earlier, but that could be because I'm doing it at a harder level. Adriene is trying to make us very aware of our bodies, so it could just be that. I felt quite stiff this morning, legs particularly.
