Anyone signed up to these emails starting on NYD? I started yoga at the beginning of the year and have been surprised at how much I enjoy it, did the 30 days of yoga earlier in the year, and am committed to completing Revolution in real time!

Love Adriene, so gentle and kind. Total girl crush!

Day 5, I'm struggling to fit in before taking the dcs to school. Also, I'm not sure they come in early enough. I find the more you do them the less you need to look. If you have time, is it worth watching through first, even skipping through, to get the idea of the poses. The lunge/lizard was tricky, but *'m feeling tired and sore today. Dd2 awake in the night and a stiff neck, so it might be that. I felt much better afterward, though.

Definitely agree that the more you do, the less you need to look at the screen.

I enjoyed day 5. Chilled but really stretchy which is how I like my yoga!.

Day 5 done. Felt it was easier than yesterday, which is just what I needed as I've got achy muscles today.

Thanks for the responses. I carry a lot of tension in my neck which I'm sure doesn't help. Hopefully it will improve.

Good to hear today is calm and stretchy, I really felt yesterday's in my hips I must say but my back is LOVING it!

I am gutted, this is not a cold. This feels like the flu, the first time I've had it since I was a kid, and I'm due back at work next week lol.

Day 5 done - I struggled a bit with finding my rhythm, but enjoyed the second half more. Roll on tomorrow!

I've just done Day 3 in the evening rather than the morning as I ended I at my friends for a few drinks last night. It started off well but was distracted by a text from same friend and an alarm going off on my phone. Still need to catch up so will try to fit in two sessions tomorrow. Im also struggling a bit watching and doing it at the same time. Still enjoying it though.

Day 5 done. I really struggled to get myself off the sofa as have rotten cough and generally feel bit shit but I did it! Hope you feel better soon Hellmouth

Felt exhausted today so don't think i worked as hard as i could have today, but at least i did something and tomorrow is Friday!!

Day 6 done - definitely won't be able to do them in the mornings before work as they come in too late (7.30 this morning)
Today was the most challenging as it was abs focused - had to miss a few bits or not do all the reps. Still week one nearly done.

Someone in the Netherlands has just asked if the emails/videos can go out earlier... Might be worth posting on youtube or her blog @sugarmonster64

Eek just found this thread and started day one first time I've ever done yoga. I found it relaxing but difficult to keep my balance and breath and exhale at the right times is this normal for a beginner??? Also after completing yoga what difference did you see in yourself?

I've just done Day 5 and will do Day 6 later today. Am away with friends this weekend so might have to catch up on days 7&8 on Sunday evening...

Dickory, totally normal for a beginner, it'll all start making sense the further you go along while you learn the terminology. In terms of changes, I use yogic breathing if I feel tense or stressed, and I feel more flexible. I use yoga in addition to other exercise - a little running and weights/circuits.

Thank you Carrie, that sounds ideal as I've suffering anxiety lately and I am due to start a high pressure physical and mental job so trying to look after myself mind and body. Ok I will keep trying, I was finding it very difficult to watch her and then get into the correct poses/stretches and co-ordinate breathing so ending up sitting out half way through just watching.

Get well soon Hellmouth. DickoryDock quite normal, I said upthread that Adriene also does lots of beginner videos Foundations of Yoga, which I've found really useful.

Day 6, quite tough, but good. Hard on the abs and arms, quite a lot of shaking going on here. I like that she's spending a long time getting us to think about how our bodies feel.

Day 6 done here - I have the app and can see future days already. Not sure if it's because I'm a member or if everyone can see them. Might be worth downloading the app to see for those wanting the videos earlier.

Day 6 done. It was tough, couldn't do it all but tried everything and feel a bit stronger. I like the idea of awareness and can do it in some places and not others.

Finally off the starting blocks after my new year sick fest! I've been really unwell so Day 1 felt about right. Reading the thread the rest sound a lot more challenging. We shall see!
