Anyone signed up to these emails starting on NYD? I started yoga at the beginning of the year and have been surprised at how much I enjoy it, did the 30 days of yoga earlier in the year, and am committed to completing Revolution in real time!

Love Adriene, so gentle and kind. Total girl crush!

Fatrascals I'm only on Day 19! Trying to do yoga earlier in the morning, now my hamstring feels loads better, as I was trying to rest it after taking the kids to school before my practice. If the last few are shorter, I might put a few together. I'm surprised I don't feel sore today, I must be getting back into it.

Ulysses · 27/01/2017 13:20

Interesting there's one for period pain quirky. I was away for a few days then back to work/commute AND period pain so it was all a bit much and missed a week of yoga.

I've eased myself back into it now though by jumping to day 22 last night and day 18 this lunchtime. I've damaged my big toenail as well so can't lie on it so am having adapt the poses to suit. I did get a brick though and it's helping a bit but will also get a couple of blocks as well.

I feel like I'm way behind now and this is usually the point it all goes to pot but I need to remind how beneficial it all is. Got to keep the yoga mojo going!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 27/01/2017 18:45

Rather blue day yesterday for a number of reasons, feeling much better today. Did day 20 just now and it was lovely, just what I needed.

Am working tomorrow but will try and do yoga first thing as it always feels much better when I do (am facilitating a training course and it just seems to help my confidence)

Unicornsandrainbows3 · 28/01/2017 06:25

I'm so loving this. I was away again so a week behind but had a few days free so have almost caught up. I just love her voice, it's so soothing even during difficult poses. I'm still struggling with balance (tree pose etc) but this has always been my 'yoga weak point' so am trying not to get too frustrated!

quirkychick · 28/01/2017 08:58

Hope you are feeling better Rhinestone, I have just done Day 20 Shanti Practice, too, after starting a new Headspace pack (silent meditation), so feel really calm and zen now. Except, I need to get dd2 up and ready for music. I do find it helps me focus on the day ahead, though. Definitely, getting my yoga mojo back here, as I get over this stinky cold!

FiftyNineOhEight · 28/01/2017 12:24

I am very behind, but not fretting about it. Just done day 19, not my favourite one so far I have to confess.

quirkychick · 29/01/2017 09:04

Day 21, strength... I can feel how challenging this is after having a cold and resting (being inactive). I did it all except the pigeon, as my hamstring/knee is not up to it yet and did some wide-legged and cross-legged forward bends instead.

Ulysses · 30/01/2017 15:59

I did day 21 as well, first thing this morning. Was going to leave it for later and ended up being interrupted with 10 mins to go by DD wakening up. Think I did most of the hard stuff though as I can really feel it in my arms and stomach, feelings that have been dormant a long time!

carrie74 · 30/01/2017 16:19

I've totally lost a week thanks to a streaming cold, but it's all ok, once my nose isn't constantly dripping, I'm going to jump back in. Had to cancel PT session last Friday and yoga class tonight though which is annoying (and expensive!!). Oh well, not gonna sweat it Smile

Sounds like some great progress being made in this thread though, amazing!

I think Day 22 has major breathing exercises carrie. You may want to have some hankies to hand for that one!

Thanks for good wishes Smile

Did 'yoga for when you're sick' yesterday as was deep in snotty cold. Breathing much easier today so tackled day 23 upstairs in my bedroom just now while DC were playing on Xbox.

I think I'd like to rerun Revolutions when I get to the end, always aiming for daily practise.

carrie74 · 30/01/2017 19:40

Thanks Ulysses, good tip!!

I like the idea of re-running Revolution too Rhinestone, I think I was actually focussing too much on getting them ticked off , rather than seeing it as something nice to do for myself. Yoga is one of the only exercises that I actually consider me-time, everything else is just another chore that needs doing.

carrie and rhino my sympathies, I had that cold last week, and still feel exhausted this week. I rarely get a cold but this one's a stinker! Yoga when you are Sick is great, because at least you are doing a daily practice. I will probably rerun the Yoga Revolution at some point, as I felt it's been a bit disjointed due to injury/sickness and would like another proper go. There's a great Yoga for a winter's day, for when you just feel bleugh, too.

CountFosco · 31/01/2017 10:34

I've given up trying to do a daily practice and am just doing it 3 days a week when I don't go swimming. But I'm doubling up some of the routines which sometimes works well and sometimes doesn't. Did days 17 and 18 this morning while DS (4) told me the names of the poses (he does Cosmic Kids Yoga) and told me when I was doing things wrong, which obviously added to the experience!

Has anyone actually kept up and today is their last day? What are people doing next? I'll go back to Yoga Camp and 30 Days to see how I find them. I think Yoga Camp was less challenging than Revolution but we'll see what I think when I repeat it!

quirkychick · 31/01/2017 12:22

Just done Day 23 with dd2 (off school) in her Elsa dress. Yoga mat covered in glitter Hmm. She does Cosmic kids too.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 31/01/2017 16:01

DD particularly likes the Zen den on cosmic yoga kids.

Tried for day 24 this morning but only managed about two thirds before I had to stop. I just don't have 47 mins in the morning, half a hour is OK.

Hopefully out singing tonight (just joined a choir)

quirkychick · 31/01/2017 16:10

47 mins.... gulp! I need to allow for that tomorrow.

Ulysses · 01/02/2017 06:51

I've just done Day 23. Despite it being called Discipline I rather enjoyed and fully embraced it. I like doing it daily in shorter bursts so 43 mins does seem long. I may try it later on. Kudos for doing it with the kids. I find it too distracting - hence doing it at 6am when I can get peace!

quirkychick · 01/02/2017 10:41

Ulysses I don't usually do it with the kids, but dd2 off school. Actually, she's been more interested in watching a dvd, whereas she would usually be barging in. 24 was long, I will probably go back to 6am yoga, but I keep waking later, since having this cold. Also, it needs to be under 30mins for me to manage it first thing, as I do 15mins Headspace too.

I'm slightly behind but have one day left. I've loved it! My heels are almost on the floor in DD and I never thought that would happen.

quirkychick · 02/02/2017 07:10

I will keep to the end and as I'm so near, I may double up some shorter sessions and at some point will go back and do the whole thing again. I will probably go back to the Shiva Rea Daily Energy, as they are 20 mins and I can fit them in first thing as well as other exercise during the day. I get Adriene's weekly emails, so I often do whatever video comes with those, too.

Ulysses · 02/02/2017 07:45

Done Day 24. It was okay despite it being longer. I didn't attempt some of the bus stop poses nor the crow but overall it was actually rather straightforward. Hopefully it means I am progressing! Day 25 is quite short so I may try that later today. DD has been sick twice since 3.30am so I will need to look after her at home today so it depends on how poorly she is.

20 mins is preferable for me to do it daily too.
