CQC interview

Hello!
I am a usual Mumsnetter, but changed username.

I had an interview with CQC for a inspector role just over two weeks ago, they said they'd be in touch either way by end of last week or beginning of this week. The portal says my application is "in review" and no change since before interview.

How long shall I give it until I follow up, or shall I even follow it up at all? It's a job I've wanted for a while but I'm unsure of what the realistic timescales are with these sorts of organisations!

how did you find the interview? Have they offered you any feedback?

well done regarding them saying they placed you on the offer ready list, I didn’t receive this in the email I received regarding not getting the position. Ive heard the CQC is constantly evolving, so hopefully in the future they’ll reach out to say they have a position for you.

im wondering if you’re able to share what sort of examples you used in the interview?

I don't have answers to your questions however, I also interviewed and was told i met the benchmark however there were no roles at the time so I am too on an offer ready list for a year. It has been reassuring to see other posts where others have had offers of a job from being on an offer ready list.

Is anyone from Sheffield or the surrounding area starting in January?

I too applied for an hoc position, for the similar reason that I have a day off a week so was planning on completing any inspections on that day. I submitted my application in July and have got an interview scheduled for mid January.

I have no idea what to expect from the interview but have got a few weeks to prepare for it.

I have all my equipment ready but no email address yet so I can’t set it all up but I assume you get this on your first day?

Hi all. Sorry to jump on this post, but it seems lots of us are in the same boat. I was put on the offer ready list for an ASC inspector in the midlands region last July and have now heard back offering a position. However I want part time hours and was told they'll come back to me but it's been 3 weeks and I've heard nothing now despite chasing every week. Do you think they are ghosting me? As soon as I got the call from them I mentally checked out of my current job and now I'm desperate to know more!

@Impatientbabydancer I'd say keep email them asking for updates - what's there to lose?

Hi, they called me in January and told me a post was available for me, only to withdraw again a few weeks later when they realised it was the wrong area- very disappointing! What area are you waiting for? I'm hoping for ASC in midlands

Hi all! Has anyone who has started as an inspector got an update?

I've got an upcoming interview for a primary care inspector - and while I'm excited, feeling a bit deflated by this thread that it seems there may not actually be a job at the end of it!

No I still havent and I interviewed this time last year. But know some have heard back- think it all depends on the location and specific type of job you apply for.
