Yes today does seem to be a lost cause

Is anyone else getting any tasks?

I've had ten all day - it is very slow ... not seen one now for over 2 hours .

I think its going to a slow day today. Nothing so far this morning.

I think this is going to be another bad week - they seem to go in cycles - good week, bad week, good week, bad week.

Or maybe bad week, bad week,bad week?

Hi all hope everyone is well - just catching up on the thread and was surprised at the comment from doingourbit ! Straight in there without any introduction :) I think we've all been there done that and got the T shirt thank you doingourbit. (me here, two years without one day off or an fing holiday being a high flying freelancer).

Didn't offer any of us a job though !

Anyway, back to moaning - nothing much today :)

@Meha5 yes, feeling a lot better thanks, just hope it gets sorted before the next bout but don't think it will with the current situation sadly. Couldnt understand doingourbit, just seemed to come from nowhere to have a pop at us. Still baffled as to why they searched out a Dict8 post though if they are so busy. Anyway, how was yesterday for everyone, I took the day off. High hopes for today though........🤣🤣

I took yesterday afternoon off to venture out for the first time in 5 months in our local shopping precinct. Can say I did not really enjoy the experience but I needed to get some proper salad LOL. Today, work has been good so far.

@danblack - will have done you good to get out, albeit unpleasant. I haven't had a single task as yet......hoping it will get better

Have any of you had any negative comments from Dict8 recently? I say that as I was in conversation on here about being 'pulled up' about not paragraphing but then the thread went down. I sent an E-mail to Dict8 but never received a reply. It was not a 'typist error' the paragraphing was not dictated, and at the point of dictation (although I could not recall the specific letter) I must have not deemed it necessary to paragraph; but I usually do para even when not dictated (as with punctuation) so I was surprised.

Work is very patchy this morning.

@danblack87 I am not busy lol, and not away on hols.......just keep browsing the internet as haven't seen any tasks. This week, and last week, have been a total write off for me

I used to transcribe for dict8, 7 years ago.
so joining this thread if that is ok

it was a hard slog, often into the night, when there was work . not good for my shoulders.

18 months i worked for them

@Chrissols: I have spent most of the morning on the internet and facebook; daughter and grandchild due at any min. Just a handful of tasks for me today.
@CrowdedHouseinQuantine: What do you do now? Can you still type Tasks for Dict8 ... we all hope work will pick-up soon - BW

i have always worked in the day time also, although not full time, so carry on working almost full time, the self employment side of things was annoying

Thrown in the towel - far too hot and my fingers are swollen and typing is an effort :) also can't be bothered for the proof reader backlash :) with all the mistakes I will make :)

and I have exhausted myself by typing this !!

@meha5: Proof-reader feedback (although few) is fine in my opinion but sometimes it is unwarranted (depends on the proof-reader) which I was miffed about: 'clerical error' was not a clerical error it was a judgement call (para not dictated) ... + I never got a reply to my e-mail (says it all, I think). It is too hot and I am also giving up today the weather it too lovely to miss.

Not a bad morning for work. Not seen work at the weekends in a very long time. Hopefully it carries on into next week
