Although I don't think I will achieve that today......there are no tasks coming up at all

danblack87 · 24/07/2020 16:32

It's great most of us are back together - love it. 'Fraid my day has not been too great typing wise ... see what next week brings

Chrissols · 24/07/2020 17:25

Another personal worst for me today....I really hope it picks up soon

OP posts:
Poppy379 · 24/07/2020 17:29

@deewu Yes, I would say a good day for me is anything over 250 lines at the moment.

danblack87 · 25/07/2020 14:53

A good day for me is between 200 - 250 lines a day, (ALL DAY) although I surpassed that this morning in just over 3 hours! There is just no telling what is going to be a good, fair-to-middling or bad day. Pot luck I think.

Poppy379 · 25/07/2020 17:02

I know exactly what you mean @danblack87. Just as you say, many of us are sitting in front of the screen for 10 or more hours to scrape together a measly 200-250 lines - and that's on a good day if we're lucky. It's excruciating and time wasting. It would be great if somehow the system could be linked to our phones so that we could get a text alert when work became available, and then we wouldn't have to spend endless hours doing nothing just in the hope that tasks would pop up. (Mind you, currently work is so thin on the ground that by the time you had sprinted to the computer there would probably be nothing left as the two or three tasks put up would already have been taken!!) I know in the good old days you could get a message if a lot of work was available, but I nearly always seemed to be already typing for Dict8 when I received them!

Gally123 · 25/07/2020 17:18

@Poppy379 - did you find that often you had been typing away and then as soon as you logged off for a break, lunch etc, you would receive an email telling you there was lots of work, as if they begrudged you 10 mins of peace? Those were the days!

Poppy379 · 25/07/2020 17:39

@Gally123 Sometimes! I honestly can't recall the last time I received one of those 'there is a lot of work on the system' emails. I can't even remember if I even got one over the Christmas period - and that's saying something. In my head I think it must be at least 12 months, if not longer - can anyone else remember the last time they received one?

danblack87 · 26/07/2020 08:57

Last time I received one of those 'lots of work available' e-mails I believe was way back in August/September of last year I think?

Chrissols · 27/07/2020 09:50

How's everyone today......anyone busy?

OP posts:
Lucylizzy123 · 27/07/2020 10:42

I have had a few earlier on, nothing since

Gally123 · 27/07/2020 11:05

dribs and drabs only. I was up extra early as well this morning as awake so thought might as well.

danblack87 · 27/07/2020 11:26

Seen quite a few - typed just a handful!!

alikat55 · 27/07/2020 13:31

Not seen a single task yet today, even though I logged on at 8.00am. It doesn't help that I have only got one specialty! Just keep hoping the situation will improve as time goes on.

Chrissols · 27/07/2020 13:56

@alikat55 not much better here.....3 tasks and all short

OP posts:
Snakes23 · 27/07/2020 14:20

Been logged in since 10am and have seen nothing.

danblack87 · 27/07/2020 14:24

The tasks are still coming for me albeit slowly ... I am etching my wolves in between refreshing

Chrissols · 27/07/2020 15:47

Just had 33 tasks showing - typed one (less than a minute) and they were all gone.....

OP posts:
Poppy379 · 27/07/2020 16:10

Dismal here - only a few tasks this morning, even with an early start. Just one task this afternoon, and that was a couple of hours ago.

Chrissols · 27/07/2020 18:43

Well I certainly hope tomorrow is better as today has been a total waste

OP posts:
danblack87 · 28/07/2020 07:56

Morning all, hope we all have our smiley faces on today ready for a good day !!! Wink

Gally123 · 28/07/2020 08:35

@danblack87 - well it has stopped raining and hopefully the sun will be shining (I plan on doing some washing later).

I had a good day yesterday, better than last week, so hope it continues. However, who knows what is going on right now, with so many countries having a second wave of the virus, we don't need the NHS to try doing proper clinics only to revert back again. I hope the vaccinations they say they are in the process of producing work (although I must admit, I am a little hesitant over the thought of having one myself if it is a live vaccine).

Gloom over. Let the typing begin!

Chrissols · 28/07/2020 09:45

Not seen a task yet.....wonder what time the first one will be??

OP posts:
danblack87 · 28/07/2020 10:09

Not good here either, yet. There were 28 seen - I typed one at 9am. Since then I have only typed 3 short ones.

flutterby18 · 28/07/2020 10:19

I have not seen one yet and been sat here since about 9 am.
