Guardian: weaponised emotional blackmail from 14yo 'trans' athlete

teawamutu · Yesterday 17:40

The Guardian's rearguard action on reality continues. Apparently the problem is not the parents and authorities who conspired to lie to this boy, coddle his delusions, disadvantage all girls around him in the service of his own wishful thinking etc etc etc: it's definitely the people who pointed it out:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/jun/17/trans-athlete-no-one-should-face-vicious-attacks

I am prepared to feel a little sorry for the kid, who couldn't have been exposed like this if the useful idiots around him had done their fucking jobs. But the Grauniad can fuck off with the tired 'beee kiiiind' shit as a solution. Been there, binned the t-shirt. We want our shit back.

I’m a 14-year-old trans athlete. No one should face the vicious attacks I have faced | Lina Haaga

People understand gender differently, and I was taught to respect all ideas. But the vitriol I recently experienced was not a healthy debate

"Cis" is in the Oxford English dictionary. You might not like the term, but it does exist and has a clear meaning, per the dictionary.

I am not a cis woman.
I am a woman.
I entirely reject the term cis - biological reality renders it redundant.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · Yesterday 20:10

For as long as I can remember, I have known I am a girl. That certainty is as instinctive as knowing I am right-handed. It is difficult to explain to someone who has never been transgender or loved someone who is, but I have never lived this way to gain an advantage or take something from someone else. I live this way to honor what I know is true.

This is all rubbish, given he's 14 he gets some leeway for speaking rubbish but the adults who allowed him to believe this rubbish was true, don't.
You don't instinctively know your right-handed, nor did he just decide he was going to be right-handed, it became self evident when he started to learn to write.
It's also self evident he's a male, and therefore a boy, he also sounds jealous of his sister, because she is what he can't be. I hope she's not living in a toxic environment because she was unlucky enough to have pathetically useless parents. Another rich male kid has his parents wrapped around his finger and in his selfish way he's trying to steal his sisters life.

You're kidding. What do you think would happen to the little gerbil friends?

How do you think the gerbils would feel about being locked in a gerbil cage with an actual massive fucking anaconda?

On the remote chance that this isn't an expertly judged pisstake, thank you for your service in proving the point 😂

Well, if the anaconda is really a gerbil, it wouldn't eat its gerbil friends, would it?

And since we've crossed into the realm of talking animals, the other gerbils and the anaconda would get to know each other as individuals, and the gerbils would realise that the anaconda is, in fact, a gerbil, and they would feel sorry for it because they themselves would hate to have the body of an anaconda when they are really a gerbil. And there would be much more love and understanding in the world than there is now.

Lifelover16 · Yesterday 20:11

I wonder how the actual girls felt when he joined them in the female changing rooms and showers?

What an entitled little brat he sounds.

EdithStourton · Yesterday 20:12

Transgirls are who they say they are.
Does that mean that Rachel Dolezal was in fact Black?
If not, why not?

user1471538275 · Yesterday 20:12

Cheating boy wails about why 'its not fair' that he can't keep cheating, because he really really likes winning.

No sympathy at all. He's in this situation because his parents utterly failed him and his sister too.

All the howling and rending of shirts is just toddler tantrumming because you've said they can't play with the cooker.

@DumpyVictoria You're clearly a believer. I'm not. I have no time for spoiled children who have been told by their parents that they are so extra special that they can treat everyone else badly.

You hate being referred to as a ciswoman, well, that's how transgirls and transwomen must feel when they're referred to as men.

As to 'we are who we say we are'

No we're not. We never have been and never will be. What a ridiculous idea that fantasy is reality - this is a developmental stage that children generally grow out of around 7.

I'm not 6 foot or size 6 even if I really want to be. I don't have blonde curls - I can fake them if I like, but it won't make them real.

Transgirls are who they say they are. No one has the right to tell them who they are or aren't. She says she's a girl. Very obviously, her brain and body do not match up.

You might not like that they exist, you might deny their existence, but that doesn't make it true. Transgirls and transwomen do exist, and they just want to be left alone to live in their preferred gender in peace, same as us ciswomen. It must be hard when you were AMAB but are in fact female.

Don’t be silly. He is male. Most 4 year olds spend their time pretending to be dinosaurs, Disney princesses, or Transformers. We don’t encourage that belief because, as we all know, that’s just a fantasy. This boys parents should be charged with child abuse.

So you don't give a shit about the gerbils, as long as the anaconda gets what it wants.

My analogy grows ever more accurate. Keep it all coming, please 😁

Encouraging people to live in a fantasy land is cruel.

It's just about acceptable for small children, but once someone enters adolescence insisting that Santa and the Tooth fairy are real is a bit too much.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · Yesterday 20:17

My eldest granddaughter insists she is a T-Rex - I guess I should be affirming this, and encouraging her to kill and eat smaller animals.

Because skin colour is purely a matter of melanin. Gender is much more complex than that and involves hormones, brain chemistry, brain structure, and the intersection of all those things with psychology.

Soontobe60 · Yesterday 20:18

DumpyVictoria · Yesterday 19:54

That's a false equivalence. Your anaconda is not telling you it's a gerbil, is it? It's not saying it has a gerbil's brain inside an anaconda's body and, as a result, knows it's a gerbil despite the anaconda casing.

In the unlikely event that an anaconda told me that it was really a gerbil inside but had the wrong body, I would believe the anaconda. I would get the anaconda an appropriately-sized gerbil wheel and some gerbil friends. That would be the kind and humane way to treat a trans-gerbil, whether you believe the anaconda or not.

HTH

Don’t you worry love, the anaconda would have swallowed you whole in a heartbeat whilst telling you his lies. 🐍🐍🐍

user1471538275 · Yesterday 20:18

@DumpyVictoria Oh 'its complicated' is it?

It's not complicated - two sexes, male and female.

Gender is a bunch of socially constructed limitations that harm us all and can get in the bin.

No gerbils are ever forced to be mates with an anaconda.

Well - they are biological males, ergo men. And some of them are being locked up with women in prison, and sexually assaulting them - do you care about these women, @DumpyVictoria?

So is cunt, liar, thief, misogynist and gullible.

My eldest granddaughter insists she is a T-Rex - I guess I should be affirming this, and encouraging her to kill and eat smaller animals.

But she doesn't really believe she's a T-Rex, does she? She's just playing. I doubt very much that this illusion will persist throughout her life and was there as soon as she was able to feel.

Pallisers · Yesterday 20:20

Very obviously, her brain and body do not match up.

But they are running track with their body - not their brain. If we segregate sports by biological bodies then by your own admission this teen shouldn't be running with the girls.

I feel for the older sister. Not only does he appropriate her sex and her track win but she has been reared to applaud him for it. I'd say some therapist will be helping with this one for a long while.

Soontobe60 · Yesterday 20:20

DumpyVictoria · Yesterday 20:01

Not really a subset when ciswomen are the majority by far.

They are the ONLY member of the set ‘woman’.

The problem arises when the the gerbil identifying anaconda is in a habitat with the other gerbils - they might not be happy to have a predator living with them.

Now, think about women as gerbils, gerbil identifying anaconda as say, Isla Blaire, and a women's prison as the gerbil cage...

(Is this just a bit too easy. DumpyVictoria you started off with standard TRA stuff - poor girl etc, but surely the anaconda who identifies as a gerbil is a pisstake of trans ideology.)

GailBlancheViola · Yesterday 20:21

DumpyVictoria · Yesterday 20:06

Cis is only used really when discussing trans issues, to make clear which sex you were assigned at birth. Because it's relevant to your individual gender journey.

I was not assigned a sex at birth. My sex was observed and recorded.

What is this assignment shit anyway? Do the Doctors and midwives just randomly pull a sex out of a hat? Or say, Ooh we've had four females born this week, time to assign some as males? Absolute risible nonsense.

If assignment of a sex at birth was really, truly how doctors and midwives carry on don't you think they might have assigned female babies as male in China during the one child policy so the female babies didn't end up dumped on a rubbish tip?

I cannot take seriously anything anyone who spouts this crap says.
