Guardian: weaponised emotional blackmail from 14yo 'trans' athlete

The Guardian's rearguard action on reality continues. Apparently the problem is not the parents and authorities who conspired to lie to this boy, coddle his delusions, disadvantage all girls around him in the service of his own wishful thinking etc etc etc: it's definitely the people who pointed it out:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/jun/17/trans-athlete-no-one-should-face-vicious-attacks

I am prepared to feel a little sorry for the kid, who couldn't have been exposed like this if the useful idiots around him had done their fucking jobs. But the Grauniad can fuck off with the tired 'beee kiiiind' shit as a solution. Been there, binned the t-shirt. We want our shit back.

I’m a 14-year-old trans athlete. No one should face the vicious attacks I have faced | Lina Haaga

People understand gender differently, and I was taught to respect all ideas. But the vitriol I recently experienced was not a healthy debate

There’s no such thing as a “transgirl”, he’s a cheating boy.

For as long as I can remember, I have known I am a girl. That certainty is as instinctive as knowing I am right-handed. It is difficult to explain to someone who has never been transgender or loved someone who is, but I have never lived this way to gain an advantage or take something from someone else. I live this way to honor what I know is true.

Transgirls are who they say they are. No one has the right to tell them who they are or aren't. She says she's a girl. Very obviously, her brain and body do not match up.

You might not like that they exist, you might deny their existence, but that doesn't make it true. Transgirls and transwomen do exist, and they just want to be left alone to live in their preferred gender in peace, same as us ciswomen. It must be hard when you were AMAB but are in fact female.

Whatevs 🤷‍♀️ they’re still boys, not girls.

And don’t lump me in with your fringe “cis” identity- it’s meaningless genderist jargon.

That's a false equivalence. Your anaconda is not telling you it's a gerbil, is it? It's not saying it has a gerbil's brain inside an anaconda's body and, as a result, knows it's a gerbil despite the anaconda casing.

In the unlikely event that an anaconda told me that it was really a gerbil inside but had the wrong body, I would believe the anaconda. I would get the anaconda an appropriately-sized gerbil wheel and some gerbil friends. That would be the kind and humane way to treat a trans-gerbil, whether you believe the anaconda or not.

HTH

No considering of how others may feel but be unable to express because 'be kind' is another way of forcing women to comply.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · Yesterday 19:55

I don’t hate this trans girl, @DumpyVictoria - but I do hate the ideology that has told him he is a girl and that it is entirely fair for him to compete against biological females. Frankly, it is cheating - as is every example of male bodied athletes taking the awards and opportunities from girls and women. Ditto STEM awards, business awards - any schemes that have been designed to give any advantage to women and girls - you know, to make up for the way that society has disadvantaged them for centuries, and to enable them to compete on an even field with the men, but are being stolen by men in frocks and lippy.

"Cis" is in the Oxford English dictionary. You might not like the term, but it does exist and has a clear meaning, per the dictionary.

Oh this is much better - sorry, genuinely thought you were serious on your first post! 😂

Nah, I can’t take you seriously with the “appropriately sized gerbil wheel” comment. Find some other mug.

Or....you could believe that transfolk are who they say they are, and if you did, all the things you mention would make a lot more sense to you.

Denying their reality is a bit hateful, tbh.

It wasn't me who came up with the anaconda/gerbil analogy.

InSlovakiaTheCapitalOfCourseIsBratislava · Yesterday 20:00

its a pretty good analogy, especially if you’re into freud

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · Yesterday 20:00

Cis seeks to redefine women as a subset of their biological class, @DumpyVictoria, and I refuse to be thus defined.

I'm talking your language! You came up with the anaconda/gerbil analogy, so...

No, they aren't. They are boys no matter what the say they are. Material reality doesn't contort itself to accommodate young lads with delusions.

Just as he can't identify his way into being 5 or 21 when he's 14, he can't think himself into being female.

Being male bodied means he has unfair advantages when competing against. Emma Hilton has written extensively explaining this.

Dress as you like. But keep out of women's sports when you are male. Even if your daddy is loaded.

Not really a subset when ciswomen are the majority by far.

Just because you think so, doesn't make it true.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · Yesterday 20:03

That being the case, @DumpyVictoria, why do we need the qualifier of cis? Why don’t the tiny minority get the subset label?

But I don’t believe it. In this country I don’t have to.

You're kidding. What do you think would happen to the little gerbil friends?

How do you think the gerbils would feel about being locked in a gerbil cage with an actual massive fucking anaconda?

On the remote chance that this isn't an expertly judged pisstake, thank you for your service in proving the point 😂

Cis is only used really when discussing trans issues, to make clear which sex you were assigned at birth. Because it's relevant to your individual gender journey.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Yesterday 20:06

There are other explanations that make infinitely more sense to me than male and female souls who get trapped in a wrong sex body, an explanation even trans rights activists don’t bother with now.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · Yesterday 20:07

DumpyVictoria · Yesterday 20:02

Just because you think so, doesn't make it true.

Human beings cannot change sex. There is NO medical and/or surgical treatment that can change someone’s sex. You can make a facsimile of a penis or vagina, but they will not work like a real penis or vagina. Real vaginas do not need douching to keep them clean, dilating to stop them healing up, and do not smell of faeces (when faux vaginas are made of colon, that smells).

A male skeleton will always look male, ditto a female one. Chromosomes do not change, nor does your DNA. There is no such thing as a female brain. Liking pink, frilly skirts, make up etc does not make you a woman. Wing biologically female is the only thing that makes one a woman.

About the same as women locked in a prison with Isla Bryson, I imagine.
