Sexism/other issues in the Green party England & Wales - Discussion Thread 3

Zack Polanski is making things bigger yet again so another thread needed.

Well things have developed rather a lot since the start. ZP started out as being another sexist guy in politics - no shortage those around, but he thought he could take it to a new level and he proved he could do it.

The Green threads have followed his rise from the start of with the Hypnoboobs scandal and much more. There is also:

Mothin Ali as deputy Leader who clearly doesn't believe in trans thinking, but cleverly sidesteps round talking about it, has always had a issues with encouraging racist violence and is now encouraging people to sue the Green party if they attempt to stop them saying racist stuff.

The other deputy Rachel Millward represents the posh rich faction of the Greens who manages to sounding like Reform when opposing Asylum Seekers in her area, but at the same time saying we are too harsh on immigrants in general. Obviously she also doesn't believe women are a thing. Yet she is the least crazy when violence is concerned compared to ZP, and Mothin.

Hypnoboobs scandal got worse recently when it became clear from BBC footage ZP actively believed in the Hypnoboobs thesis rather than being tricked into it.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn9enygvezeo

Alongside all this there is constant ongoing attacks on biological reality from the party in interviews and in policy.

Now in the last week or so after a longstanding spate of antisemetic rhetoric from some Greens during the election campaign and ZP downplaying it. We have synagogues, schools, ambulances attacked, two Jewish people dead and ZP berating unarmed police for risking their lives in fighting a violent killer who was still armed with a knife things have come to a crisis point.

The Greens are becoming ever more sinister with dozens of candidates sounding like they are seventies NF supporters with comments about uppity women and Jewish power. The huge drama over a crazy motion which they were trying to pass against Israel at conference alongside a motion to prevent women having sports will surface again their September conference.

It seems likely after next week The Greens are going to be running a bunch of councils which doesn't bode well after their antics in Bristol.

Yet there is hope, in Bristol women are fighting back_: www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5455053-bristol-council-is-about-to-be-sued_

The fight back from Green Women's Declaration, ( https://www.greenwomensdeclaration.uk/ ) continues and the court cases against GPEW from Emma Bateman and Shahrar Ali are developing, both getting through legal delaying tactics as they move to trial. Gardening is needed. These cases if successful could be dramatic in their impact.

First thread - where you can follow the rise of ZP and lots of other scandal

Second Thread:
https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5456759-sexismother-issues-in-the-green-party-england-wales-discussion-thread-2?

Note the Scottish Greens which are a separate party to the Green Party England/Wales have their own thread for all their sexist drama. They split off because GPEW didn't hate biology and women/gays enough at the time.

From the Standard, about Lewisham's new Green mayor.

"Liam Shrivastava will be paid £93,575-a-year, up from the £88,743 wage received by his Labour predecessor - a rise of 5.4%."

Apparently he has "the intention to donate 20% of the Directly Elected Mayor’s allowance to food justice initiatives". To adapt a Scottish phrase, does he, aye?

mANCHESTER Evening News actually calls Women’s rights campaigners accurately .

Women’s rights campaigners criticise Green MP Hannah Spencer amid single sex spaces row
https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/womens-rights-campaigners-criticise-green-34068790

Someone needs to tell Hannah that 'discrimination' simply means being able to tell the difference between one thing and another: your arse from your elbow. It can be a useful skill.

And in Australia:

Australian Greens co-founder Drew Hutton has quit, declaring the party ‘beyond reform’ and doomed to vanish within a decade. He blames its takeover by extreme gender ideology and identity politics...

Thanks for the link, it's hard not to think there's some sort of world wide conspiracy going on, the Greens in particular stand out as the part that is contaminated the worst.

Someday someone will have to write a book, explaining who makes up the cabal of shady billionaires who are behind miserable new world order.

I honestly think it has been a product of our times: the culmination and apotheosis of various threads and strands of identity politics, Intersectionality, the women's and gay rights movements....combined with the power of social media to create group think and the money of silicone valley and the tech bros.
Add to the mix the American cult of individualism ( be your best/true self etc) combined with consumer and pharmaceutical culture. The perfect set of conditions for a self serving, reality denying cult to take hold.

Well this will be interesting 😳

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/05/23/green-councils-plot-to-scrap-gcse-block-immigration-raid/

I'm glad my council didn't fall to the Greenshirts.

As the left swing to crazy leftie ideas, the right will swing further right.

On the one hand we have the Green priorities including “twinning with a Palestinian town”, decolonising public spaces, and establishing a slavery museum to acknowledge the area’s links to the transatlantic slave trade. Planning to refuse to share information with immigration enforcement agencies and will instead “support” those targeted by raids. Those come straight from the left in the US but also may be designed to appeal to the Muslim voters abandoning Labour.

Plus, Greens want to Explore ways to decriminalise prostitution, deprioritise the policing of cannabis, and lobby the Government to scrap “high-stakes formal testing” in schools such as GCSEs and A-levels. They also hope to convince the Supreme Court to rewrite the Code of Practice, which would “allow for trans inclusion in single-sex services” Ignoring their misunderstanding of the SC decision and the CoP, these seem designed to appeal to the blue haired brigade.

On the other, rumours of Restore members in Makerfield wearing what allegedly looked like paramilitary hit with GB flags (but which might be their own merch) as well as the likes of Alex Karp publishing his manifesto arguing democracy in the US now needs to restrict input to elected state officials and tech companies execs because the left in America are unreliable crazies (words to that effect).

All very worrying.

What flag is this?? Tried looking it up but couldn’t pinpoint it.

It’s the Palestinian flag- not sure what that’s got to do with Palantir.

Palantir - is engaged in building software to assist in counterterrorism investigations and operations.

I can see why the Pallies are protesting all though I don't why the NHS are using Palantir systems.

Not that I'm very tech savvy, but I know Palantir develops data integration and analytics software.

One of the frequent complaints about NHS data is how fragmented it is, so I presume the intention is to use the company's software to integrate the myriad of databases.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 08/06/2026 20:10

Ah and there it is they're protesting about the Jews again, everyday in everyway they show they're hate and bigotry. 🤮

Thanks for the link to the article, it sounds like it's doing a good job for the NHS, I see the anti-tech, anti-USA brigade are flapping they're gums again. If it's helping the NHS to cut waiting times, to be more productive, and it's helping people the get the operations etc that they need, we need to keep the system. We've had plenty of time in this country to develop tech systems and we didn't, we can't do away with something that is working until we can replace it with something as good, if not better, and the chances of this country producing anything like that is zero.

T shirt 👕 trouble.

Not Dave was wearing a t shirt calling for the release of Marwan Barghouti. Some have described him as the "Palestinian Mandela", which is what ZP is going for when asked awkward questions

It would be naive to assume Palantir, or the government, have entirely pure motives wrt data gathering, or are entirely safe hands.

Telegraph just shit posting now. "Food is too cheap" is actually a long held position of the greens BC food miles etc so it's actually interesting to see ZP still advocate for it here

You’re not asking for logic from ZP are you? It’s all just posturing soundbites.

I’m not anti-tech nor am I anti-USA nor am I flapping my gums but I think we need to be very careful about who we are sharing our most personal sensitive data with. Neither the current Palantir executives nor the men who started it are trustworthy or have the best intentions for us or British society as a whole.

In fact, they openly express some extremely worrying beliefs and certainly do not the safety, security or interests of women as any part of their thinking.

Alex Karp is the Palantir CEO. He said "I love the idea of getting a drone and having light fentanyl-laced urine spraying on analysts that tried to screw us." His recently posted ‘manifesto’ is profoundly anti-democratic.

Peter Thiel is the founder of Palantir. He talks about the Antichrist. At one point he speculated it might be Greta Thunberg. He’s married to his husband but his lover died by ‘jumping off a Miami apartment building’. His protege is JD Vance who used to work for him. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI met his husband in Peter Thiel’s hot tub. Sam Altman recently signed an agreement to supply ChatGPT to the US govt for uses that includes whole scale surveillance of the American public and autonomous weaponry. Conditions that Anthropic refused to agree to for use of its superior AI model.

Maybe both words start with Pal so they're confused and think there's a connection? Maybe they think Palantir is somehow anti-Palestine? I think that's as reasonable an explanation as any other given their documented inability to understand things as clear as the Supreme court judgement.
