Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Sexism/other issues in the Green party England & Wales - Discussion Thread 2

Zack Polanski is making things bigger again.

We need a new thread to discuss all his antics and the ongoing situation in the Green party which is getting more ever more bizarre. While it is getting ever strident in denying biology it also has Mothin Ali as deputy Leader who clearly doesn't believe in trans thinking, but cleverly sidesteps round talking about it.

The fight back from Green Women's Declaration,(https://www.greenwomensdeclaration.uk/ ) continues and the court cases against GPEW from Emma Bateman and Shahrar Ali are developing.

In Bristol the Women of Wessex are causing panic amongst the ruling Green council just by turning up and asking questions. This may result in another court case.

With local elections in May and elections in Wales incoming lots more to discuss and call out.

First thread - where you can follow the rise of Hypno Boobs:

Note the Scottish Greens which are a separate party to the Green Party England/Wales have their own thread for all their drama. They split off because GPEW didn't hate biology enough at the time.

Here for the future bumgates.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/12/2025 17:01

And there will be many, I’m sure.

DrBlackbird · 10/12/2025 08:59

I’m going to have to stop wondering why so many people are taken in by insane concepts (genderism) and taken in by so many grifters (no names needed) and accept the world has gone mad and embrace a zen-like state to protect my own sanity. But still keeping an eye for the revealing mutterings.

Paying my bum tax

Summary of bum wiping

Is he going to have to do some token "day in the life as a carer" type thing now to demonstrate his " journey"

It's the sort of thing Ed Davey would do, except he actually is a carer so would have thought twice about making such a comment (I'd hope)

SionnachRuadh · 10/12/2025 17:32

He might well pitch a C4 reality series where Zack does ordinary people's jobs for a day. Similar to Trump working at McDonalds.

Igneococcus · 10/12/2025 17:40

Janice Turner in her weekly notebook in the Times:
"For a tribune of the left, Zack Polanski is an astounding elitist. On BBC Question Time the Green Party leader said high immigration was essential because “I don’t know about you but I don’t particularly want to wipe someone’s bum”. The scoffing condescension. Me? Wipe a bum? The very thought! So of course a privileged, private school-educated man such as Zack needs to import an infinite Untouchable caste.
Beyond the insult to people entering Britain with higher skills than failed actor and boob hypnotist Polanski, it was a crass reduction of care work to bed pans. The magnificent Yorkshire women who tended my bed-bound mother for four years said wiping up bodily fluids didn’t bother them: the hardest part of their job was maintaining a calm, cheerful demeanour for the frightened, querulous old people in their care. These “bum wipers” were also trained in complex medical procedures and end-of-life care.
But for Polanski bum wiping is intrinsically low-grade and therefore beneath him. He reminds me of those fathers who “don’t do nappies” and hand a whiffy baby back to its mum. Because, the world over, bum wiping is mainly women’s work: repetitive, dirty, thankless, only noticed when it is not done. Which is why it is unforgivably low-paid, and will remain so as long as liberal globalists like Polanski demand lives of frictionless convenience at a bargain bin rate."

napody · 10/12/2025 18:51

THANK YOU JANICE!
The nitter thread makes some good points but every time it says 'people' instead of 'almost exclusively women' its a missed opportunity.

He isn't honestly humble enough to even pretend to care. High on his own farts, is Zack. And he's looking for the votes of people just like him, so it won't matter to them.

Looks like Green Party Women have had an EGM and changed their constitution. Now you have to be a woman to stand for election to the GPW committee.

I take it green party women are a breakaway faction ? IE the mainstream party is fully on board with T+ stuff and they are the heretics

Green Party Women are an official SIG (Special Interest Group) within the Green Party. They have been around for years but the committee used to be split between GC women and TRAs (including some TIM).

For the last couple of years, GPW have had a 100% GC committee (which is why so many of them end up being suspended or expelled).

There is also GWD (Green Women's Declaration) which is an unofficial group. It was set up a couple of years ago by GC women within the Party, many of whom have since been suspended or expelled.

Finally, there are the Feminist Greens who are anything but feminist. That group was set up a few years ago by some TRA women who were on the committee of GPW but stormed off in a huff. They got recognised as an official SIG this year. Its constitution says a lot about trans and NBs but very little (if anything) about women. The FGs also have men on their committee.

Bumgate is producing some great articles:

Zack Polanski will never understand the dignity of care work
His ‘bum-wiping’ gaffe exposed a haughty disdain for the working-class women in this vital, challenging profession.

A significant development.

With the surge change in membership it will help preserve Green Party Women as a separate group.

Yet it also sets the ground for future conflict there could be a showdown over this at some point. GPW are defying the party policy that TWAW.

Note GPW have to be allowed at conference as well unlike the banned GWD.

I've known for a long time that th etendency of many people on the left to accuse the right of racism was unfair. But I think it's only been clear to me lately how many on the left are in fact pretty fundamentally racists themselves.

Mainly it is in terms of seeing everyone primarily through the lens of somewhat crude racial stereotypes, but there is also a good dose of, foreigners don't mind menial work in there among some.

Do you think there will be problems from the leadership? I’m sure there will be lots of pressure on Zack and friends to sanction them.

I think Green Party Women have been quite clever. They have got rid of nonsense that used to be there like "identify as a woman or gender variant" and have replaced it with "woman" but they haven't defined what a woman is (maybe that's a future battle).

Green Party policy is that Transwomen are Women, so anyone accusing GPW of being transphobic and not following Green Party policy, is admitting that they know that TWs are not women.

Hypno got into an argument on X with a Labour MP over Bumgate. It got nasty. The misogyny is no surprise from those following this thread, but I think it may be an increasing issue over time. Receipts:

The nastier side of Zack Polanski has been shown today.

After a Labour MP criticised some weird comments he made about immigrants in the care sector. Zack has been reposting tweets all day attacking her for turning her comments off because she got so many rape & death threats

https://nitter.net/libdembounce/status/1997384560770699324

She posted an article in the standard in response.

Meanwhile Hypno's comments on rape gangs are also terrible and under scrutiny:

The student politics of Owen Jones and Zack Polanski is a gift to Labour
Mike Tapp understand the consequences of refusing to even talk about the link between ethnicity and the rape gangs

mackerella · 12/12/2025 08:01

So Bristol City Council are perfectly justified in banning women who want to ask polite questions, but Uma Kumaran is a terrible person for turning off her X replies to avoid racist and misogynist abuse? Got it.

So it's the same calculation as Your Party. Hoping that the coalition of Angry about Gaza religious groups will stick by them. As with YP this could all unravel if say a Muslim MP finds issue with something The sainted Zack utters and the Zackolytes doth seek to smite her

Major scoop by the Telegraph they have the Greens internal guidance. Reveals how much the Greens have been fighting cases and how they think they are doomed to lose many more. MUST READ

The Green Party is tearing itself apart over internal trans guidance, a leaked dossier has revealed.

The 53-page report on legal and reputational risk to the party, leaked to The Telegraph, exposes an extraordinary row over the party’s policies on transgender and LGBT rights.

It poses material legal and financial risks to Zack Polanski’s movement, the dossier reveals.

The report, drawn up by the party’s own lawyers, raises concerns over “expulsions” of members who question gender ideology.

It says these have not always followed “due process”, suggesting party lieutenants have been taking disciplinary action against members because of “individual hostility to gender-critical beliefs, or assumed beliefs”

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/12/12/green-party-tearing-itself-apart-over-trans-rights-dossier/

The implications of this report are major. Will be a useful tool for opposing parties in run up to May elections as well.
