Zack Polanski is making things bigger yet again so another thread needed.

Well things have developed rather a lot since the start. ZP started out as being another sexist guy in politics - no shortage those around, but he thought he could take it to a new level and he proved he could do it.

The Green threads have followed his rise from the start of with the Hypnoboobs scandal and much more. There is also:

Mothin Ali as deputy Leader who clearly doesn't believe in trans thinking, but cleverly sidesteps round talking about it, has always had a issues with encouraging racist violence and is now encouraging people to sue the Green party if they attempt to stop them saying racist stuff.

The other deputy Rachel Millward represents the posh rich faction of the Greens who manages to sounding like Reform when opposing Asylum Seekers in her area, but at the same time saying we are too harsh on immigrants in general. Obviously she also doesn't believe women are a thing. Yet she is the least crazy when violence is concerned compared to ZP, and Mothin.

Hypnoboobs scandal got worse recently when it became clear from BBC footage ZP actively believed in the Hypnoboobs thesis rather than being tricked into it.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn9enygvezeo

Alongside all this there is constant ongoing attacks on biological reality from the party in interviews and in policy.

Now in the last week or so after a longstanding spate of antisemetic rhetoric from some Greens during the election campaign and ZP downplaying it. We have synagogues, schools, ambulances attacked, two Jewish people dead and ZP berating unarmed police for risking their lives in fighting a violent killer who was still armed with a knife things have come to a crisis point.

The Greens are becoming ever more sinister with dozens of candidates sounding like they are seventies NF supporters with comments about uppity women and Jewish power. The huge drama over a crazy motion which they were trying to pass against Israel at conference alongside a motion to prevent women having sports will surface again their September conference.

It seems likely after next week The Greens are going to be running a bunch of councils which doesn't bode well after their antics in Bristol.

Yet there is hope, in Bristol women are fighting back_: www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5455053-bristol-council-is-about-to-be-sued_

The fight back from Green Women's Declaration, ( https://www.greenwomensdeclaration.uk/ ) continues and the court cases against GPEW from Emma Bateman and Shahrar Ali are developing, both getting through legal delaying tactics as they move to trial. Gardening is needed. These cases if successful could be dramatic in their impact.

First thread - where you can follow the rise of ZP and lots of other scandal

Second Thread:

Note the Scottish Greens which are a separate party to the Green Party England/Wales have their own thread for all their sexist drama. They split off because GPEW didn't hate biology and women/gays enough at the time.

Oh deary me, has someone from Amnesty had their feelz hurt. Where as I agree with everything she says, the fact that someone from Amnesty is complaining about bigotry when that organisation denounced a whole bunch of Women's Rights organisation as anti-rights leaves me unmoved.
This is the world, she and all the 'progressives' helped build, they opened the floodgates to the hate and the bigotry, now they have to deal with it just like we've been doing for years.

We elected 2 green councillors recently. I am composing an email to both asking them to stand down and allow a new election because they misled the voters. There were no expressions of antisemitism in their campaigning.
I know lots of traditional greens are very worried about how they will be seen and I hope my action will go some way to making them think very hard about the actions they have allowed to take place.
If the greens knew this motion was going to be at conference, then the right minded had a duty to show up and vote against.

Most voters aren't members, most members dont attend conference, and the vote was an equal split. Its a hardcore who have determinedly pushed this extremist and horrifying motion through.

Leaving a husk of a major political party controled by loons

Actually I think it’s a husk of a major political party controlled by extremists, not loons.

There are a mix of both and many are actually both rolled into one. I dont say that lightly. But look at the men grimly marching a trans flag into a meeting where women are discussing pelvic health and incontinence. These are the very worst extremist loons.

I do hope that this moment leads the many useful idiots to pause and think about the absurdity of some of the positions they've found themselves in.

I don't think 1022 for and 813 against is an equal split. Those now holding their heads in their hands should have showed up, they knew this was coming. There are no excuses. People are leaving and I hope a significant number do.

This is going to be interesting to watch.

As a rule there's this in order of extremities in all UK political parties

Members who vote > members > MPs > regular voters for the party > occasional voters.

The further you go down that line the less they also are in awareness of votes like this.

But there is potential for a lot of rejection of the party if people are aware.

It depends on how much traction the outrage gets.

For an issue that was well publicised enough that non-members knew about it from the national news, it is disturbing that the number opposing it was so low (out of tens of thousands eligible).

Is there an explanation other than that they are indifferent (at best) to being part of an antisemitic organisation?

EXCLUSIVE: More than a dozen Labour MPs have reported the Green party to Sussex Police and the EHRC over its ‘Zionism is racism’ policy, The Spectator can reveal.

Zack Polanski’s party was plunged deeper into crisis this afternoon after politicians, led by former Home Office minister Mike Tapp, urged police in Brighton to examine whether events at the Green conference may have crossed into criminally actionable racial or religious hatred against Jewish people.

The MPs point to delegates chanting ‘say it loud, say it clear, Zionists are not welcome here’ as a potential legal flashpoint, questioning whether the term ‘Zionist’ was being used as a proxy for Jewish people. They have asked Sussex police to examine whether the Public Order Act may have been breached.

The letter reads: ‘Our concern is whether the term “Zionist” was used, in this setting, to direct or encourage hostility towards Jewish people. The rejected safeguard (amendment) is particularly relevant because it specifically concerned synagogues and Jewish communal organisations. It therefore raises questions about the treatment of Jewish people and institutions in Britain.’

It adds: ‘We ask Sussex police to record this complaint, secure the relevant evidence and assess whether a criminal investigation is warranted. We ask the police to establish where it occurred, who participated, whether anyone was directly targeted, and what was said or done before and afterwards.’

Popcorn.

"We take over the state.
We take over the police.
We use the police to arrest all the landlords and zionists."

Said by one of main proposers of the Green party's racist 'zionism is racism' motion.

The others laugh but he doesn't. Why would he- it's what he meant

Ashok Kumar, sponsor of the motion, compares zionists to Nazis and describes liberal zionists as demonic.

After watching this sickening clip we must ask: will he be kicked out the Green party.

What is said in this is extremist, dangerous and hateful

If you watch the second clip what Ashok Kumar says is substantially worse than the above abbreviated version is.

https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2026/10/5/before-uk-greens-who-else-has-equated-zionism-with-racism

A history of the phrase 'Zionism is Racism'. This is pretty neutral btw. (Note the source)

The National Front coopted the exact same phrase as part of its campaigning:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideology_of_the_National_Front_(UK)

The NF rejected the term "fascist" to describe itself. As well as denying its leaders' previous fascist activities, it claimed that it could not be fascist because it took part in elections. The political scientist Stan Taylor argued that this claim was obsolete, for many previous fascist parties—including the British Union of Fascists, the German Nazi Party, and the Italian National Fascist Party—also stood in elections. In avoiding the "fascist" label, the NF was typical of fascist groups operating after the Second World War; these post-war fascists had to contend with the legacy of the war and the Holocaust, and thus tried to hide their intellectual pedigrees from voters. The NF's founders tried to present it as a nationalist party unconnected to historical fascism, recognizing that this would be vital if it were to succeed as an electoral force. To do so it adopted "new labels, styles and tactics" to present itself as a "respectable political party".

As with other politically extreme groups, the image the Front presented to the public was a limited and more moderate version of the ideology of its inner core of members. As noted by Billig, the NF's "ideological core, and its genocidal tendencies, are hidden" so as not to scare off potential recruits sympathetic to its nationalism and anti-immigration stance but not its antisemitic conspiracy theories. While noting that its views on race departed considerably "from what is normal or acceptable to the average citizen" in the UK, the political scientist Nigel Fielding observed that many of its other views were grounded in what would be considered "popular common-sense opinion" across the political right. In the 1970s, several NF policies were close to the views common in the right wing of the Conservative Party, although Tyndall distanced the NF from conservatism, stating in Spearhead that his party did not stand "for some kind of super-reactionary conservatism — more Tory than the Tories", but was a revolutionary force pursuing a radical transformation of Britain. In proposing radical reform while emphasising ties to the past, Fielding noted that the NF was "not blindly traditionalist" but "wishes to return to what it conceives of as the spirit of the old order", even if its conception of the "old order" was historically inaccurate

AND

The NF's antisemitic variant of this myth owes much to the 19th century Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a Russian antisemitic forgery, and is virtually identical to claims previously articulated by the British Union of Fascists (BUF). Whereas the BUF was explicit in presenting this global conspiracy as being run by Jews, the NF—aware of considerable public disapproval of antisemitism following the Holocaust—was more circumspect, using code-words like "Money Power", "internationalist", "cosmopolitan", "alien", "rootless", "shifty", "money-lenders", and "usurers" in place of "Jews".

In the 1970s, the NF rejected the characterisation of its policies as "anti-Semitism". Instead, it called itself "anti-Zionist", claiming that it only opposed "Zionists" rather than all Jews. Within the NF, the word "Zionism" is not used in the commonly understood manner—to describe the ideology promoting the formation of a Jewish state—but rather applied to the Jewish cabal secretly manipulating the world. For instance, one issue of Spearhead stated that "the twin evils of International Finance and International Communism" are "perhaps better described as International Zionism". Fielding observed that in the party, the term "Zionist" was used indiscriminately and without precision, often against any of its critics, and that its activists often exhibited antisemitic attitudes.

Many of the Front's central members—among them Chesterton, Tyndall, and Webster—had a long history of antisemitic activity before joining the party.

Hmm this is sounding eerily familiar. My point being that if you are Jewish and older there's a fair chance you will know the history of this particular slogan, it's ties to Communist Soviet Russia and to the Fascism of the National Front - far left meets far right - and this will make this motion particularly frightening for many in that community.

Before UK Greens, who else has equated Zionism with racism?

Before UK Greens, who else has equated Zionism with racism?

Israel condemns the move as the party's vote causes an uproar, including among party members.
