One of my favourite quotes is a criticism of a Turner painting (I think the slave ship one):

'It resembles nothing so much as a tortoiseshell cat having a fit in a plate of tomatoes.'

😂I'm imagining the chaos on a plate being somewhat similar. I'll try to think of an adequate AI prompt.

I cannot tell you how much I love this. Thank you!!🤣🤣🤣

ifIwerenotanandroid · 22/09/2025 18:54

My attempt. Most unappetising.

Taz, I didn't know you had medical stuff going on as well as everything else!
I hope the test results are good, and you can soon give the hospital a wide berth..

I'm sure you can be a very devilish devil when you have to be, but taz devils can be quiet and reflective too, like this one.
It has probably just had a quiet chat and a hot chocolate with Magpie, and feels pleasantly chilledSmile

That Taz is adorable, Marie. Another recruit for the Black and White gang?

MarieDeGournay · 22/09/2025 19:15

Cake, I've had a less-than-perfect day, nothing spectacularly bad but having to do lots of things I'm not good at, like booking people to do repairs and admin stuff, the kind of things that can trigger a migraine..
grizzle grizzle grizzle...

And then I read your lovely post! Delightful, and calming, and healing and beautifully crafted, and thank youSmile

You with words and images, Myrtle with knitting needles and wool - such talent on display in the Bluestocking today💙

Boiledbeetle · 22/09/2025 19:18

@Taztoy My attempt, after having an argument with Co Pilot because it refused to do it initially. God knows why not!

I love the pictures of Taz!

I remember taking the boys to visit St Michael’s Mount, @FuzzyPuffling - I do enjoy a good National Trust property - always a good gift shop and cafe. They used to sell coffee curd - it was delicious, but they don’t seem to do it any more. 🙁

If you think that Taz is adorable, Fuzzy, just look at this little cutie.
As long as you can't see their teeth, they can hold their own with any of our cute little Bluestocking creatures in the cuteness stakesSmile

We are the most tasteful and elegant gang!

I very much liked Cake’s day too.
Meanwhile we’ve been to a couple of nice Cornish gardens today in the brilliant cool sunshine. No truffles but various other fungi. The gerbils are unimpressed by some identified by the Seek act as Sticky Scalycap, and may need keeping away from the Fly agaric. They thought one called a Parasol might be useful as a sunshade but alas the one I spotted wasn’t yet unfurled.

Cake and Errol and Fuzzy - thank you for sharing pictures of your days - word pictures in the case of CakeSmile

ifIwerenotanandroid · 22/09/2025 19:55

The gerbils liked the sound of Cake's lunch so much, they're all having it for dinner tonight.

Respect to Taz for having a scan - I hate them, probably because they play hell with my electonic circuits.

FuzzyPuffling · 22/09/2025 20:06

That baby Taz is super- adorable. Im sure we would find her a suitable role at the Bluestocking. Blending soup, maybe?

FuzzyPuffling · 22/09/2025 20:07

I grew these mushrooms in my garden. By mistake. I'm not touching them. Anyone got any ideas what they are?

Pretty?

My dog walk with the pup earlier. It was so nice.

Probably Parasol mushrooms which are edible with a mild flavour and a delicate texture.

https://www.mushroomdiary.co.uk/2010/08/parasol-mushrooms/

but as with any fungi, you do need to be sure

Edible Parasol Mushroom

Late Summer brings out the Parasol mushrooms

Identify between the Parasol and Shaggy Parasol mushrooms.

Did they look like the one I posted upthread before they opened? I’m not sure Fuzzy’s are big enough.

FuzzyPuffling · 22/09/2025 20:39

They were pretty big...8" diameter, perhaps. I wondered about False Death Cap.

Ah, I think I was understimating their size from that photo.
