I love you lot. I was too scared to post here for ages because you are all so much more intelligent and erudite and well read and well informed than me.

Blimey, those acting classes really worked, girls!

ifIwerenotanandroid · 16/09/2025 19:07

Deffo the first one. I've never been a fan of pussy bows, & #3 is too weddingy. But maybe post in S&B?

I was briefly tempted

Then it passed.

And now I'm tempted again!

I think I wore that blue to a wedding in 1986.

FuzzyPuffling · 16/09/2025 19:10

WOO HOO!

Boiledbeetle · 16/09/2025 19:08

Dont tell her but it makes her look like she's at a wedding in 1986.

It does. I was a bridesmaid a few years earlier and you've just brought the memories flooding back!

FuzzyPuffling · 16/09/2025 19:11

Post Maud in S&B.
Go on go on go on go on....

I have a lovely (!!!) photo, that im not posting, from 1984 and I'm wearing a peach satin bridesmaid dress. It aged me 10 years. I looked 22 not 12!

Oh, just to prove my superiority, I have to tell you I beat my 9 year old DGS at Twister today. And I'm old!

I have a lovely (!!!) photo that I’m not posting from 1988 and I’m wearing a meringue coz I was the bride.

Maud is unsure which outfit she should wear tonight.

She isn't sure whether the other gerbils will get jealous of her rather extended wardrobe.

Is plain or fancy the way to go?

Personally I think she looks best in the first one

What she really needs is another new outfit - in the style of the first, but in the darker colour…

But I agree, it would be fun to see her in S&B…

Mine was lemon yellow and had flounces all over the place. I'm still slightly traumatised.

FuzzyPuffling · 16/09/2025 19:16

I have some peach satin in my vast fabric stash. If only I had a toy Maud, I could while away hours making her frocks. Although I see her more as a Liberty Tana Lawn sort of gal.

New thread: Help me find an outfit for a gerbil reunion

I'm 5" tall & a size 4 in gerbil outfits. I have a budget of three & ninepence. I've had my colours done & apparently I'm an 'autumn' though my favourite colour is actually blue. No red, no sequins.

First answer will be a red, sequinned dress costing £300.

You wore my school prom dress. Lemon yellow, floor length, strapless, boned, full skirt with ruffles and puff sleeves.

I spent the decade in Lady Di pie-frill collared maternity dresses.

Only one decade. I'm not that awful.

Boiledbeetle · 16/09/2025 19:24

And you had better all go vote or Maud will be upset

For some reason I am unable to post as Boiled.

Anyone would think I started the thread!
