Graham Linehan arrested on arrival at Heathrow Part 3

These threads are currently being used to follow the case that is taking place at Westminster Magistrate's Court over the 4th and 5th September, but will also be following the subsequent fallout of Graham's arrest at Heathrow on his return to the UK for this court case earlier this week.

He is currently on trial for alleged harassment of a trans identified male and criminal damage to the man's phone. The charges stem from a series of events in October 2024 at Battle of Ideas.

I wonder what the phone footage is. MrMenno had a string of tweets featuring SB over the years; maybe that is what they are looking at.

Obviously don't know what the new footage is yet, but there's a possibility it might prove to be a great metaphor for all of the lawfare harassment that has been used to attempt to intimidate so many of us. They can get away with all manner of inane shite with the cooperation of a captured police force and cowed judiciary, but as soon as some actual evidence turns up the cases blow away in the wind like the manufactured unicorn shit (!) that they are. This is why I've been stressing the point that it's not that he's wrong in his point. He's right. And frankly he's been identified as someone to wind up and he's unfortunately taken the bait. And then not handled it particularly well at times.

But I don't think what he's said is really out of line with tabloids who have the legal position of saying difficult things in the public interest.

Linehan's intent hasn't been harass. This is key. It's been to shine a light on this bullshit. This difference does matters.

Tarquin might behave differently today if some adult had said 'slap it up ye' at a formative age.

But he does specialise in applying for them. That's what he does. That is his speciality, legally.

I miss those days. Sometimes gobshites need to be told straight.

If there's even the tiniest inkling that Graham needs to pay for any damage to the phone, even if it's a tenner, that'll be enough for the news outlets (looking at you BBC News) to headline GUILTY, followed by a massive puffpiece on how poor Tarqs has suffered so, and a picture of him, Tony and the balaclava gang doing a celebratory pose in front of the court.

The fox killer from the piss poor project will chuck in a crowing comment as well no doubt.

Even if the judge gives Tarquin a good scolding for being a massive bellend, they'll conveniently leave that out.
