Arrested again! Details on his Substack. This is beyond a joke; 5 armed officers!

I just got arrested again

I arrived back in London to discover the UK is still a police state run by trans activists

This reminds me of when John Lennon said the Beatles were bigger than Jesus. No one in the UK batted an eyelid. Then it was picked up months later in America, and there was a witch hunt. We all thought it was an over the top response. Now we're the crazy, over the top ones compared to America. That's a bit scary

"Now we're the crazy, over the top ones compared to America."

That remark is more perceptive than I think you intended.

Although, to take it superficially, I suspect America still holds first place in that particular race!

IwantToRetire · 03/09/2025 01:09

Yes, I pointed that out and the Telegraph certainly implied it.

The tweets are 4 months old and no one has taken any action.

Then the day he arrives in the UK someone has reported him to the police, apparently for insulting same sex attracted people (which isn't what any of the tweets were about) and as a result he cant now tweet during the time he is here and in court.

So even if it turns out there is no substance in the accusations, it has still had the effect wanted.

I wonder in whose interest it is for Glinner not to have a voice on X at this time.

Absolutely.

Who exactly is it, in a position of power, who would want this… 🤔

Emma on radio 4 just said Graham's tweeting was about "trans issues AND FEMINISM". I think she gets it.

EasternStandard · 03/09/2025 07:53

RedToothBrush · 03/09/2025 07:38

Including criticism of the police from one Keir Starmer.

It strikes me as being reminiscent of being swatted tbh.

At some point, arguably this level of vexatious reporting needs to be dealt with as what it is - harassment using the authorities to intimidate.

Starmer is actually in control of laws so it’s the usual two faced approach.

Hopefully we’ll get someone who actually changes things.

RufustheFactualReindeer · 03/09/2025 07:53

SummerFeverVenice · 03/09/2025 01:03

Or, according to G man, years of hurty words on twitter by TRAs- which he calls a “perseistent harassment campaign”

(spelling his own)

He doesn’t mention twitter in your earlier quote

and just cos someone is nice to you doesn’t mean the experience isn’t stressful

crumpet · 03/09/2025 07:54

Radio 4 discussing it now. Some woman talking about how trans people are the most oppressed. I think it might even be Chakrabati

Thissickbeat · 03/09/2025 07:56

It is Chaktabati. Although she did seem to say something about sport and prison so maybe even she has an inkling it's not OK. Was loading the dishwasher so didn't quite catch that bit.

outofdate · 03/09/2025 07:59

So great to see Glinner on here again!

Are you sure? I thought Canada was giving them a run for their money.

Isn't this a threat, a death threat, inciting violence against Graham and all other GC people? I expect we'll see an arrest soon.......

RedToothBrush · 03/09/2025 08:07

A male in the woman's toilet WHO KNOWS THAT LEGALLY HE SHOULDN'T BE THERE should quite rightly be judged by a woman as a potential threat and that they do not respect women.

It doesn't matter how they identify.

If a woman feels like she's at risk should she be nice until she's proven otherwise or act and ask questions later.

I suspect the law will actually say she should be physically assaulted before doing anything, so are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

SummerFeverVenice · 03/09/2025 00:49

It’s accurate all right. In his blog post linked in the OP where he says:
The doctors suggested the high blood pressure was stress-related, combined with long-haul travel and lack of movement. I feel it may also have been a contributing factor that I have now spent eight years being targeted by trans activists working in tandem with police in a dedicated, perseistent harassment campaign because I refuse to believe that lesbians have cocks.

He’s been target by having police show up at his door at the behest of transactivists, and being seriously ‘cancelled’ including FatherTed the Musical being shelved. He’s not whinging about a few tweets there. You have no idea what you’re talking about.

They've done a great job of keeping it all on the down low.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15057371/Father-Ted-creator-Graham-Linehan-arrested-Heathrow-Airport.html

"A spokesman for the Met Police told the Mail 'The man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence. This is in relation to posts on X."

Apologies for the DM link, the story is new so there isn't much choice so far, but hopefully this should be a reminder to everyone that inciting violence is illegal. Including towards LGBT people.

I do most sincerely hope that you're just as keen on reporting and seeing arrested all those dickheads who want to 'kill a terf'. I mean, I've seen lots of posts by you about... Oh, wait, no, I haven't.

Quelle fucking surprise.

I've been taking a break from MN, but this arrest has brought me back to say, not for the first time, WTF has this country come to?

Rural policing is a complete shambles (for example, hare coursers allowed to continue for literally hours, in broad daylight, trashing crops and threatening people, even after the police were notified). The policing of DV is also a complete shambles (for example, a friend's sister encountered a complete shitshow of policing when she recently left her abusive, violent, gas-lighting and controlling husband).

But a couple of tweets? Five cops, with guns.

I can not agree with everything someone says, and still be able to recognise their right to say it, and massive legal over-reach.

Christinapple · 03/09/2025 08:15

Graham Linehan says he has an "evidence bundle", and wants help to locate a trans oral sex image to "add to it".

Do the police need notified he may have illegal content on his computer or content he uses to stalk and harass trans people?

That transwoman you say he assaulted (and let’s be clear he took their phone and threw it on the ground) is a teenage, 6 foot 2 or 3 solid brick house who has persistently turned up to women’s rights events and harassed and intimidated and got in women’s faces and recorded them on his phone and shouted abuse. Context matters!

’Sophia’ has recently been trolling Caroline Farrow on TwiX, claiming to have a place on the same degree course at the same university as CF’s daughter.

Also a buddy of MN favourite Stephanie Hayden.

Hayden is friends with a teenage boy?

Well... 🙊

outofdate · 03/09/2025 08:16

Everyone who picks up their phone/paper or listens to the radio/tv will see this story today.
A massive own goal by the TRAs and another turning point for us.

"Five cops, with guns."

This has been addressed multiple times in the thread. It's Heathrow airport, police carry guns.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/father-ted-co-creator-graham-141003577.html

“The arrest was made by officers from the MPS Aviation Unit,” a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said in a statement to media. “It is routine for officers policing airports to carry firearms. These were not drawn or used at any point during the arrest.”

Hey Glinner what's in your "evidence bundle"?

EasternStandard · 03/09/2025 08:19

Listening to Times radio talking about this. It’s all lunacy. FSU sounds useful.

Glinner · 03/09/2025 08:20

Lots of evidence of a certain person's harassment campaigns against about eight individuals.

CohensDiamondTeeth · 03/09/2025 08:20

MrsSlatersParrot · 03/09/2025 07:40

I think we can make a reasonable guess at your political affiliation from such a tellingly ignorant statement.

Many thousands of people not only take the Greens seriously but believe, not unreasonably, that their policies are increasingly vital in our corrupt society.
Their first MP, Caroline Lucas - a woman I happen to know personally and have great respect for - did phenomenal work in acting against, and in at least two cases I can think of exposing, corruption in the Tory party.

I'm going to pose a question to you, you may find it offensive but hopefully you'll think about it a little before dismissing it out of hand.

Do you ever stop and think about how your posts have been coming across, and perhaps wonder if they are at least partly to blame for the responses you were getting yesterday?

The reason I ask is because although you have made some good points in some of your posts, you have been really quite combative to posters such as the poster you quoted here with no prior interaction (that I can see), and a lot of your posts yesterday came over in an intellectually superior and smug tone (IMO).

I'm not sure if you mean to come across like this, maybe it's just your way of talking to people generally.

It seems to me having read some of your newer posts that you actually have a GC perspective, but your earlier posts were written in a tone that we normally "hear" coming from TRAs.

It certainly read to me yesterday as quite hostile, as does your response quoted above. That's probably is why I and others have responded to you in the way that we did.

Might be worth thinking about.

EasternStandard · 03/09/2025 08:21

Christinapple · 03/09/2025 08:19

Hey Glinner what's in your "evidence bundle"?

I hope vexatious targeters see this all change soon.
