Arrested again! Details on his Substack. This is beyond a joke; 5 armed officers!

I just got arrested again

I arrived back in London to discover the UK is still a police state run by trans activists

wondering if @Christinapple also reports TRAs to the police when they threaten to punch/kill/rape Terfs?

Of course not cause that's "freedom of speech". When Terfs do it though it is LITERAL GENOCIDE!!

"A spokesman for the Met Police told the Mail 'The man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence. This is in relation to posts on X."

Apologies for the DM link, the story is new so there isn't much choice so far, but hopefully this should be a reminder to everyone that inciting violence is illegal. Including towards LGBT people.

A reminder that TRAs would do well to remember as they are constantly stepping over that line.

Surely, I mean surely, even regular posters here who have a dislike of him for their own personal reasons have to admit that this is not just ridiculous, but incredibly dangerous for our society as a whole? Surely? Even if you disagree with what he’s said in the past?

Totally . I have nothing in common with him , this issue aside, but this is completely insane. The Prime Minister was Director of Public Prosecutions in his previous career. You'd think he'd have some cop on about bringing the law into disrepute. And vexatious litigants.

BarbieBrightSide · 02/09/2025 11:41

From the Daily Mail article:

Linehan, 57, has shared the tweets which he says police arrested him over. One from April 20 said: 'If a trans-identified male is in a female-only space, he is committing a violent, abusive act. Make a scene, call the cops and if all else fails, punch him in the balls.'
A second tweet, on April 19, was a picture of a trans rally with the caption: 'A photo you can smell.' The third was a follow up to this tweet which said: 'I hate them. Misogynists and homophobes. F* em.'

This tweet is what @Christinapple is referring to as 'incitement to violence'

As PP have stated, the double standards are astonishling

What has Graham Linehan ever said against LGB people?

Incredible. People post that and more on mn, for others usually, but still.

Is our own dear Queen now to be arrested for bashing a chap in the balls with her shoe?

Yes, threatening to punch people in the genitalia is a sexual threat of violence. His other tweets per se may or may not meet the threshold (which is higher than the far-right make it out to be) for malicious communications but they give additional context for his threat that it is was made with hateful intent (in law this could become an aggravator making the crime worse)

"Of course not cause that's "freedom of speech""

From what I've seen so-called "free speech" seems to be something the far-right (including people who threaten/encourage/incite arson attacks against hotels housing immigrants) spend time complaining about.

INCITEMENT TO VIOLENCE

Queen hits man with shoe who was where he shouldn’t have been, doing something he shouldn’t have been doing.

Needmoresleep · 02/09/2025 11:51

Dear dear Christina. More empty accusations.

And yet an apology for a Mail link. You really think women are so fragile that they can read mainstream media across the political spectrum.

LizzieSiddal · 02/09/2025 11:52

Astonishing behaviour from the police. The only positive thing is this will get a huge amount of publicity, the media will have a field day over showing the ridiculousness of this arrest for a few
hurty words on Twitter.

Nah, it’s only those who don’t fall in line with Chris’s views that deserve a good slap

"Faaar Right", TRA bingo in action.

TheStroppyFeminist · 02/09/2025 11:55

This is astonishing and shocking and wrong. WTAF?

Sarah2891 · 02/09/2025 11:57

5 armed officers is crazy, if that indeed was the case.
Graham seems a very unwell, obsessed man to me. I can't support his actions. I don't support that kind of police reaction either though.

You might want to check your own house first on this one. TRAs aren't famous for linking arms and singing Kum Ba Yah.

Wheresthebeach · 02/09/2025 12:01

This is truly frightening. Keep pic of child rape on your computer and walk free, threaten to kill/burn JK and nothing happens. Labour will only continue down this road.

Theunamedcat · 02/09/2025 12:02

Was the person saying JKR should die in a grease fire ever arrested? What about those wonderful placards that were held up near police officers for photos were they ever arrested? Or did it just get washed away by the rainbow?

I cannot condone some of his actions but the double standard is getting ingrained more and more

NCReceptor · 02/09/2025 12:02

The UK's speech laws are a genuine disgrace and their weaponisation really, really frightening. The bail condition is unbelievable.

SnoopyPajamas · 02/09/2025 12:03

There must be fathers up and down the land advising their daughters to "scream and kick him in the balls" if they find themselves trapped with a pervy man. Are all these dads "inciting sexual violence"? Should they all be dealt with immediately by armed police?

TRAs don't live in the real world.

Police officers doing favours for (ex) police officers? In the good old days it would be accompanied by a funny handshake.

It's all conducted on WA groups now.
