Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

Mothin won with 5366 votes.

It is looking grim for sure with the genderists winning other seats. Whether it is worth sticking round to see if upcoming court cases change anything is another question. Also whether Mothin will have any impact. Legally the Greens could get themselves in more trouble. It all depends on people willing to take them to court though.

I guess we will see how it plays out with Your Party and with the May elections.

If Your party is a bit more reality based than the greens then that could give them an advantage in any voter attraction.

As usual the TAs are using dodgy and unfair tactics to silence voices.

Green Women's Declaration

BREAKING: We have learnt that the GPEW disciplinary appeals mechanism is out of operation. TheGreenParty are continuing to suspend members BUT there is no process for members to appeal the decision. #NoJustice
9:30 PM · Aug 31, 2025

We understand the appeals committee is inquorate, & nobody is stepping forward to take up the vacant seats.
Members we know have been unjustly sanctioned continue to languish in 'suspension jail' with no escape. This is not #GrownUpPolitics

Alas.

It’s so weird, I actually know her (although haven’t seen her in many years). She co-founded a film festival to celebrate and promote women film makers (Birds Eye View) and seemed to really understand that women’s biology was central to their oppression. I guess things change.

Her passion for environmental causes is genuine AFAIK, and she’s very articulate and personable. I get the impression that she was /is reasonably close to Caroline Lucas who supported the losing candidates for leader - no idea what that means in reality tho. I’m just not sure what the Greens as a party stand for anymore now after today.

(NC for this obviously).

lechiffre55 · 02/09/2025 19:49

I'm very late to the topic, but I'm having difficulty processing this.
Did the Green Party? of the UK? just elect as their new leader a guy "who said he could help women increase the size of their breasts using their minds"?
I've seen some barmy stuff but this makes no sense at all.

Green Party elects 'boob whisperer' Zack Polanski as new leader

The Left-winger who has touted a link-up with ex-Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, comfortably won the race to take over from Carla Denyer and Adrian Ramsay.

I will never tire of mentioning Polanski's hypnoboobs past, because it's by far the most entertaining piece of GP lore I've ever heard.

lechiffre55 · 02/09/2025 19:52

I have to be wrong. What am I not understanding?
The boob whisperer??? leader of a UK political party??? wtf???

GiraffesAtThePark · 02/09/2025 19:53

Are the greens aware they come across as weird? I care about the environment but they’re so unserious

Greens have always been a little bit cranky, but used to be in a sort of pleasantly mild hippyish fashion.

It seems the new Green movement is hypercharged batshit, utter zealotry, and has very little whatsoever to do with environmentalism.

Well Patrick Harvie, the Ernst Stavro Blowout of Scottish politics, did such a great job that I have no idea what you're talking about.
Where on earth do the Greens keep finding these people? Why do they keep finding them? It's like electing Benny Hill leader of a political party while playing the theme tune.

That's Humza Yousaf, SNP.

SionnachRuadh · 02/09/2025 20:04

I do worry about the quality of the leaders the various parties have had in recent years.

I don't know what it does for the governance of the country, but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to run out of Frank Drebin memes

Yeah I know.
1 - I like to post it every chance I get.
2 - It seems appropriate. The Scottish Greens propped up Yousaf. Think of the scooter as the Greens, scooters are green TRANSport. Supporting him and carrying him along, and then he puts his foot down in front of them, so they instantly faceplant him in revenge. It's the whole story of Yousaf and Greens in one gif.

Hypno Boobs!

Trust the Heil to find THE most awful pictures of ZP. The gap in his front teeth really accentuating how bizarre it seems. And it also makes him look like Dan Wootton of the Sun and GB News

He reminds me of a modern day Terry Thomas. He always played the scoundrel, and if he was alive today he would be loving the role of boob whisperer.

We had a big discussion of the hypno boobs scandal at start of thread. I think Polanski is entertaining enough that it isn't going to handicap him with his target audience of left wing types. It will put off others a bit more serious who are going to drift to Lib Dems I guess or Tories.

The uncertain thing is how he will compete/cooperate with the Corban//Sultana party. We will find out in May 2026 in the Welsh and Local elections.

My favourite clip of Zack Polanski, funnier than the hypnoboobs story, is the trailer for the Gallon Challenge. I think this needs to be shared more widely.

Re Rachel Millward, I'm in the South East and she always comes across well when she's on local news/politics programmes. I think she is genuinely concerned about nature and the environment.
The Facebook trans rights hostage video was really depressing but she it's not something that she normally bangs on about. I think she was pressurised by the TQ+ lobby during the election campaign.
I don't think she's a true believer but she was a coward to capitulate so won't stand up for women in the party.

Mothin Ali has avoided talking about the issue. It will be interesting to see the dynamics between him and Zac.

Conference in Bournemouth will be interesting this year. There's likely to be a lot of press attention because of Zack. In Manchester last year, Green Women's Declaration and Greens in Exile were a strong presence outside Conference. They're bound to be back again.

I know a lot of people who said that they would leave if Zack won the election. I can understand that feeling but every time someone leaves, they make it harder for those who are desperately hanging on.

At this rate the Greens could make Ben Dover their leader and gain credibility

SionnachRuadh · 02/09/2025 22:11

Which led me, on a whim, to Ben Dover's wiki page:

In 1978, broke from his dwindling career as a musician and working as a male stripper using the stage name "Hot Rod" (due to his reported likeness to Rod Stewart at the time), Honey responded to an advertisement for models in The Stage newspaper and met agent Kent William Boulton (1941–2002),[14] a college lecturer from Bromley and former Labour Party candidate on the Isle of Wight who entered the porn business late in life and was renowned for organising "spanking parties".[15][16]

You get some rum people in politics. I loved Michael Bloch's biography of Jeremy Thorpe, but it barely scratches the surface of the kind of guys who were around in the 70s, and later decades.

Zack on Newsnight last night (Tuesday 2nd) on IPlayer if anyone wants to catch up.

It just happened to be the same day that the story broke about Glinner's arrest. When asked about it, Polanski thought that having 5 armed coppers to meet Glinner when he came off the plane was OTT but that the arrest for a few tweets was justified.

Wow even for Polanski that is insane. Remember even Owen Jones and Starmer think that Glinner's arrest is mad. Polanski is against people being arrested about Palestine Action, but for someone being arrested for aggressive jokes.

This is a big fumble by Polanski if someone can take advantage of it. Kemi and media hopefully will. Hypno boobs jokes only go so far

As well as being an aggressive zealot, I dont think Polanski is very bright.
