NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #4

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

Now whining about people (us!) deadnaming him and circulating old photos of him

Ah, some does see himself as a figurehead for all trans identifying people

'perhaps doesn't meet threshold of threatening behaviour but makes me feel threatened ... I consider it fairly hostile behaviour'

So his identity is paramount, and as is his safety and happiness - but the women in the hospital including patients have no right to any of these.

Oh dear am rather enjoying someone’s expressed misery of how his behaviour has bitten his arse

In fact, the backlash is down to how this case was handled by the hospital. If they had handled it better, it would never have seen the light of day.

Telling a judge mid case that they made a bad decision is not likely to enhance your case.
