NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #4

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

How on earth can the judge suddenly manage to make handwritten notes at this speed of talking, compared to how slowly he asked the women to go? What has changed?

NC interrupts and asks what is the relevance of this line of questioning. Very,very long pause by JR.

And JR can't answer why relevant...

Judges handwritten notes probably consist of nothing but 'FFS'

Come on JR. Why is this pointless line of questioning worth going with?

JR: in my skeleton argument, the only harassment that has occured is that which has been meted out by the claimant ot he respondent.

JR trying to just move on, J pushing for an argument about why it's relevant. Interesting. To do with whether the panel should disregard that line of questioning?

Objecting to the anonymity has caused distress

Not private enough to GAF about taking his clothes off in front of women in a women's changing room though....

So Sandie is now responsible for all social media, and asking for the anonymity order to be denied is harassment...

Everyone is entitled to legal redress. SR is pathetic for asking about how upset he is about this case.

The backlash is not a reason for Sandie to defend herself surely?
