The “women’s march” that’s all about the men.

I couldn’t see a thread about this, but I’m just here to share how annoying it is to see a so-called women’s march so concerned with placating men. This is the march in January.

As well as the highly predictable “this is for all women” (meaning including the ones who are men) and the ‘we don’t tolerate transphobia’ (meaning any concept of sex-based oppression), the Facebook group is full of posts reassuring men that of course they’re welcome and it’s not all men and obviously “not my Nigel”. It’s infuriating. Why do people do this?

Exactly but they wouldn't unblock any women for expressing a simple view. They blocked my sister just for being my sister.

And while they are at it, they can clarify how come they supposedly didn't know about SJB's criminal convictions...

They must think the women who are still supporting them are stupid. To post a statement saying the decision was made once they were made aware, when there are screenshots of chats going back days where they are told about SJB and continue to defend his inclusion

SJB is now spamming all the other chats with her ranting message. Funny really, you just say no to them once, and all the old violence comes gushing out.

They have treated everyone like idiots and more fool them if they continue to support this circus. I have never seen anything like this before.

It's actually quite satisfying to see newbie women who have never marched before peak right Infront of my eyes and I didn't have to lift a finger! Yet they are saying TERFs have caused division!

It's amazing they thought that someone guilty of such a sickening sexual and violent crime would be an awesome guest speaker for a march against ummmmmm... Violence against women & girls.

They absolutely wouldn't have picked a woman guilty of such a crime. They wouldn't have even entertained it for a millisecond.

All this talk of Mumsnet might direct new people here, where they will get to see the other side of this and realise that we are not all evil terfs. It might peak a few people 😎
