I know! I've already preserved one paw print on one of my pottery pieces which unfortunately exploded in the kiln, but the paw print didn't shatter so I'm keeping it and will glaze it and use it as an ornament.
When I was at school in the 1980s, I took home a drawing board as one of my O level art pieces was stuck onto it and somehow in the chaos of teenagehood it never got returned. My cat at the time walked over an oil I was working on, and the board still has his paw prints on it and I've kept hold of it ever since for that reason.
I still use it. I don't like to throw stuff away if I can help it.
I'm going to be keeping every single paw print on my pottery! I have a ninja girl cat who likes to get into the potting shed roof and then drop down onto my drying table. So I'm guessing it is hers. It is like Mission Impossible in there some days.
The terrace though will be covered in tiles so any paw prints will be hidden unfortunately.
